Honestly, I feel like I was short changed. I brought 8 large bags full of aluminum cans, milk bottles, plastic bottles, and other bottles to recycle and only made $30. There's a discrepancy when it comes to the scale. They do not let you see the weight on the scale so it's hard to know if they're entering the correct weight. They show you your receipt, but don't give u a copy of it. The workers are nice once you finish your business. read more

We wanted to try a new recycling center. We saw the good reviews for this place. We arrived at 7:55 am on a Wednesday, since they open at 8 am and I noticed that an employee was sitting in his car waiting. Once it was 8:04, I went towards the container... And then asked him (who was still in his car) if he was going to open... He then stated that he still needs 10 more minutes. Hmmmmm... That'll mean that he was going to be not only 4 minutes late but 14 minutes! Very disappointed in the work ethic. I will not go here again! read more

Great and fast service. You will need to separate your bottles/glass/cans all from each other into separate bins and each of those bins will get weighed separately and totaled together at the end. The workers are friendly and efficient. We came towards the end of their open hours, and the workers still had good spirits and had no problem assisting us. It was my first time here! Just checked Yelp on the nearest one by me and this place was only a mile away so it was very convenient. It's located at the back of the plaza and you can just parked right next to it . Gathered my recyclables and assumed you have to do it on your own (like other places I've been to) but here, they do it for you! I went here for the first time 30 minutes before close and an employee said "we don't close for another 30 minutes ma'am" instead of "we're closed!" response I've received from other places cough* Sunset recycling cough* This place has superb customer service from the moment I pulled up. There was an employee that saw me with my bag and helped me empty it into the bin and put it on the scale for me! After I immediately received the cash from another employee with a total time of interaction in less than a minute! This will be my new recycling place moving forward. read more

Not sure why my photo did not post in the last review. To start out I used to love to come to this place to recycle but looks like today is my last if that asshole employee is going to work there from now on. Whenever I come I would have at least 4 bags or more full of glass bottles in my car and the middle age employees would always help me with no hesitation. I would feel like I have the help I need and would come back because they are very understanding how dangerous glass bottles can be and doesn't want me to cut myself. I would try to come early in the morning to avoid the crowd to make it easier for them. Today I came at 9am on a Saturday and I encountered an asshole employee. He has tattoos on his arm and piercing in his ears, please avoid him at all cost. I asked him to help. He agreed and his facial expression changed when he opened up the door and saw 3 big bag full of glass bottles as I told him the beginning. He start giving me attitude while he was getting the glasses out of my car. Furiously yanking a big bag out of my car scraping the paint out. Here is a picture. Hey if you don't want to help just fucking say it instead of damaging my property. After he was done doing whatever he did, he came up to me and this man have the audacity to say " next time you have to separate all those by yourself". I told him oh I thought you guys can help me and I don't know how to do it I'm sorry. THIS MOTHERFUCKER SAID " NO ITS HARDER FOR US" Harder for you? Like how? You just don't want to do your job and you are lazy? He was literally standing there doing nothing the whole time before I approached him. Keep in mind I came there when there is NOBODY THERE. Nobody. Keep in mind I HAVE GLASS BOTTLES ONLY. If I have cans and I asked for help I would understand that is selfish of me but sir I have fucking GLASS BOTTLES. If it was busy and I came begging for help and I was taking their time up, I would understand. Bro I came when the sun barely up and there was NOBODY. DONT GO HERE. I brought in 2 large bags of aluminum cans that I personally weighed at home, totaling about 60lbs . They have the scale facing them and the they don't even show it to you. The guy just walks to the back and comes out with cash. When I calculated the amount vs what I weighed, it was very obvious they short changed me by at least $15. If you do go here, weigh it yourself and make sure you look at their scale before they take it off otherwise they will dump the can into their bin and you can't go back to re-weigh. read more

Quick and nice. I am not an expert on the pricing for recycling, but I got $40 for two bins of plastic and a very tiny amount of aluminum cans. I'd say that's a good deal! And they are open seven days a week. Most recycling places are closed on Sunday. They are located in a shopping center behind the enterprise Rent-A-Car. This place was a good place to recycle. They closed in February 20th. 3 months later May they said they would re open. until 2 months in a row they kept flopping on re opening. They said July 1st now it's July 9th.im not holding my breath for July 15th. 1 stars for repeat lying if you're closed just say so. It's not cool to lie especially on yelp. First and last time there. No one helped me do a damn thing. They told me to separate my glass by color, which I did. Also, I had wine bottles and regular beer bottles mixed together (since i didn't know any there was a difference and no one told me anything) so to me, it's like the guy took my heaviest cans and decided they were all non-CRV which is only 1 cent per pound! [How did he decide that when they were mixed together??] I had 3 1/2 full trash cans of glass and a trash bag full of crushed aluminum cans and only got $18?? I'm pretty sure I got played. The only recycling place within 10 to 15 minutes of my work so I thought I could go there on my late lunch break to handle my recycling. I double checked their business hours and arrived at 1:08pm and was informed by the 2 men both taking phone calls that they will be on lunch until 1:20pm. It is my opinion that they should follow the business hours posted on this page or change it otherwise to be accurate and not waste peoples time. We already get pennies for recycling anyway and don't have the luxury of taking hour and a half lunch breaks like you guys. Don't bother with this place or call ahead assuming they'll answer. My kids decided to collect cans to earn some money this summer. They filled up a box full of cans and I drove them to Greenyard with very little expectation of good service or any service at all. To my surprise, the man helping us was super cordial and so amazingly helpful. As one reviewer stated, he even helped us sort our bottles. This made the process fast and easy. read more

I went here a couple of days ago to turn in my plastic bottles. I would also like to note that I only had plastic to turn in, but they also take aluminum, glass, copper wire, newspapers, and a whole host of other recyclable items. The employees were very friendly and efficient. The long line went very quickly and I got more than I expected to get for only half a barrel of plastic bottles Very fast and courteous service, with good payouts for your recyclables. I have been going to RePlanet, but this place is much better. Even though I have a RePlanet just a couple of streets away, I will be coming to Greenyard Recycling from now on. read more

Don't go here! They're register/receipt machine is rigged and adding extra rare weight to skim off your total weight!!! When I called them out on it they pulled the "no Habla Ingles" if you do decide to go here watch your P's and Q's with the basket weight vs the Tare weight or they'll get you. In total they ripped me off for more than 7 dollars. 7x50 customers min a day is a full on racket! Won't ever come back..!!! read more

What a great experience. Thankful to my fellow yelpers for helping me find a location. This is definitely a hidden gem. Located directly behind enterprise/the shopping center I was in and out in less than three minutes. What is paid cash I did not have to go into an additional location or store to cash out and they were so nice and put an extra seat so I could show my grandma because I'm recycling her cans for her. Her regular location doesn't open until 10 AM and I'm a millennial on the go so I wasn't having it. I'll definitely be coming here again the gentleman who is working the area was very friendly, had a great sense of urgency and customer service. This is predominately an Asian neighborhood and the gentleman is a Spanish speaker. So if you're a racist are you have a problem with people that don't speak English don't come here. You're kind isn't welcomed lol I had a great experience & I suggest you to go there if you need any recycling. read more

This is the cleanest, friendliest recycling center I have been to, The employees are always super cool and not trying to scrape 50-60 cents off of every customer, so they will have something to smoke at the end of the day, not trying to be rude but I know when some tweeker comes up with about 40 plastic bottles that probably came from my basket when I wasent looking, ends up getting like 14 bucks when I have 5 great big bags of cans and plastic and I end up with $11??? Hmmm kind of fishy, But the guys here won't do that! I'd feel safe having my mom come here because I really feel it's a trustworthy business, I really do. And amazingly there are not thousands of those weird bees buzzing around, Wonder why that is?? read more

Really nice workers and they make the entire process fast! You just separate your plastics and cans in the various bins and they take care of it right there. I'm not sure how good the pricing is since I typically just take my things to regular recycling places but I happened to be near the area with recyclables. Would recommend if you have large amounts of materials to recycle- may as well make a few bucks while you help protect the environment!! read more
