Holy cow! We're on a country drive from one Wisconsin place to another and looking for breakfast. We spy the Red Apple Cafe and take a chance. The place is clean with lovely finishes and upscale touches. The staff are so kind and friendly. We followed the suggestions of the staff and ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes and the cowboy skillet. I stopped eating to share this review because we love it so much. The barista prepared perfect lattes. The pancakes are both crispy and fluffy and not too dense. The perfect amount of icing to finish it. The cowboy skillet has the ratio of diced potatoes, chopped bacon, and jalapeños mastered. Take the drive and come here for breakfast or lunch. So worth it! read more

Where to begin? I like to support local businesses, so when I was in town, I stopped in for breakfast, and Red Apple Cafe hit on all the right marks. The coffee was there almost before I ordered. I had a hard time choosing what to have as their menu had so many great options. Not too many like a Greek diner, but each item looked better than the last. I decided upon the Maria skillet, chorizo, jalapenos, and cheese with over easy eggs over hash browns, YUM!!! I opted for the side of pancakes over toast, because, why not?? My food arrived quickly, and the whipped butter served with the pancakes was not stone cold but easily spread, and the pancakes themselves were lightly sweet and fluffy, just the way you want them to be when you want to get your day going right. The skillet was amazing, eggs cooked perfectly, hash browns crispy and tender, chorizo cooked perfectly, this was a breakfast fit for the big day I had ahead of me. I stayed away from Red Apple for a while because the outside is off putting and not a pleasant view. The inside is very cute and well decorated. Whether you're in a sweet or savory mood the food is delicious! Although pretty busy for breakfast, they're quick to getting you seated. read more

So good and even comes with a side of tzatziki Cinnamon French toast- my sister said it was amazing Waffle Club- huge waffle with strawberries and other toppings and side of bacon/sausage. First time dining here and that is just terrible. The service was top notch. The food was very very good. It is a diner so the menu is "diner esque" with lots of breakfast (served all day) options and lunch options (also served all day) with things you'd expect to see listed: a variety of omelets and skillets and pancake and egg options. The food came out quick, like I would hope in a diner, even though every single table was filled and there were 5 families waiting their turn. Hot and fresh. Had good flavor. Value was on point for this meal and we will certainly come here much more now that we know how good it was. read more

Unlike many businesses, this place is not understaffed that I can see ... and the young adults unlike many establishments are very kind and professional... it seems these ma and pa establishments have better service than their franchise counterparts these days... 10 dollars for a big breakfast in a time when prices are rising is an excellent deal and very good and filling at that... this is a very popular establishment and busy very often ... expect to wait for a short time and it's absolutely worth it.. also a shout out to the senior citizens that also work here hustling like the young adults... excellent place to visit read more

This place is great. A hidden gem. We always tried places on Main St and never ventured down the street to find this cafe! Food was really really good. I had the hobo skillet--just the right amount of hash browns, onion etc and topped with 3 eggs which was great!! Good size portion, not too big like some skillets can be. Tasted amazing! We come here often. The service is good and They cook everything very well, love the hashbrowns. The only issue is their bacon and sausage is tasteless. It really is a shame because I do not want to stop eating breakfast here, but when half your breakfast has no flavor you have no choice. Unsure of the smell when I walked in. Maybe I was here on a bad day. Coffee was really watered down. I've had better orange juice but it was ok. Probably could have counted the amount if lettuce leaves on my side salad. Unsure if my coffee or my salad had more water. Really looked like the end if a bag and they didn't wanna open another? Truthfully it wasn't my first choice as I know I have high food expectations with my love of food. My friend really wanted to go so I figured hey I'll try it out. They weren't very busy and my son wanted a vanilla shake and the waitress said she didn't have time to make it today. Then we ordered 2 cheeseburgers plain and they came with everything on them. Good food TERRIBLE waitress! As we waited for the food we were told we needed to be moved to accommodate a large group coming in because it would "make it easier for the server" which was herself. There were many open tables and booths. The incoming customers were even uncomfortable with moving us and suggested pushing tables together in a different area. The waitress obviously prioritized having the large group in her section and bulldozed us out.nto a booth. The booth was too tight for comfort and the waitress said loudly "we have a lot of customers bigger than you, honey." We have been to this restaurant three times - two of our visits we experienced poor server behavior. I am a good cook and go out to enjoy being waited on. You could not challenge the chef to put a smaller piece of ham on the muffins. I talked to our waitress and she said they have lots of complaints but they won't fix it.
