My mother-in-law was to bury her mother today with this business, surrounded by our friends and family as we said goodbye to a beautiful, strong woman who had done so much for us. All we wanted was to have a respectful service for her, to show honor to all that she had achieved in her lifetime. I am deeply disappointed to say that the owner of the funeral home, George Sullivan, thought that the appropriate time to accost my mother-in-law about payment for services due was on the day of the funeral itself. As the woman I admire so deeply was putting her mother to rest, this man was hounding her during the service demanding payment. Multiple family members and friends witnessed this and were absolutely appalled at the disgusting behavior this man presented. I hear he is the owner of the company, and if this is true, I caution anyone looking to contract services from this business. To have the owner of this establishment cause a scene in the middle of this funeral was absolutely heartbreaking and disgusting behavior. The disrespect my mother-in-law experienced will forever be etched into this day in her memory. We paid a deposit, and had informed him that the insurance money was on the way, but there was a clerical error in the paperwork that was submitted. He demanded payment in full (almost $15,000) This man then saw fit to accost my mother-in-law in the middle of her mother's funeral service. I am absolutely appalled, disgusted, and disappointed in the behavior that we experienced from this business. I caution any families that are looking to have a memorable and respectful service to not use this funeral home. They will disrespect your dearly departed, and will ruin your experience as you try to say goodbye to your loved ones. George Sullivan you should be ashamed of yourself and your business.
