I discovered Red Baron when I went to get my car cleaned (they used to be a car wash place, but now it's a car air conditioner repair shop), and I decided to drop by for a quick bite to eat. I was greeted by a very friendly staff, but the interiors seemed a bit dim for my taste. The place was really small, and could probably only accommodate 20 people at any given time. I sat down and ordered some of the Nachoriffic. I truly enjoyed the crunch of each nacho chip, combined with the saltiness of the ground meat and other toppings. The rest of the menu looks so appetizing that I wish I would have come here for lunch instead (okay, maybe I was peeking at the food from the other customers there). Their steak and ribs look really big for the price. They also have an all-day breakfast menu, which included the "Ultimate Red Baron Feast" - garlic rice, egg, spam, tapa, bacon, and some other things I can't identify, but ordering it would probably be best after a tough workout session. Despite the size of the restaurant, I think I'm willing to go back here with my girlfriend to try out the main courses, probably for a late lunch or an early dinner to avoid the peak dining hours.

Excellent ribs! Medium rare to perfrction! And the basic salt and pepper seasoning was really good as well!

Texas Roadhouse is an American chain steakhouse and when we found that they had locations in the…read moreUS, we had to try them out. The layout and offerings pretty much mirror what's offered in the US. The only unavailable item is the Cactus blossom (fried onion bloom). Instead, they offer onion frizzles as a substitute. A few things to mention. You will experience sticker shock due to the fact that: #1.) Steak is hard to come by in the Philippines (could be a cultural thing) and #2.) Expect the meat cuts to be rather thin. #3.) Drinks are not as boozy. My husband ordered a Raspberry Margarita and although it had great flavor, the booze was lacking. Flavor is definitely present but for the price Americans pay for steak versus the Philippines, there is a high premium.

Also got the steak and was served without any A1 sauce. Server was way too concerned about cleaning the table when we were done- we paid our bill and were still seated and the guy already started clearing the table, grabbing our plates as it passed by our faces. As a side note, while eating our dinner, they seated a party of 6 in a booth that can only seat 4 and I saw the group looked annoyed that they're elbow to elbow in their seat that they themselves asked the server to move them to a bigger table. Poor customer service and to top it off, the food was meh.

I asked what their bestseller was and they recommended the Irish Coffee Latte. I'm very happy I listened to them. It was delicious!!! I've had the opportunity to try their Latte and Choco Peppermint. Both pretty good too. The latte normal but good. The iced version can be filling. The Choco Peppermimt was not too sweet with the right hint of mint. I was also very surprised with how much my coffee was! In general, their prices are very affordable! I hope it stays that way.

I was successfully persuaded by the friendly barista to give that drink a shot. She even suggested I try it with a shot of vodka - a usual thing done to Irish cream coffees. I was feeling particularly bold that morning so I said obliged. And boy was it a real picker-upper! Needless to say, you should definitely try it out. Other than that drink, another reason I appreciated Urban Grind is because of its chill but modern ambience. There were a good number of couches - perfect for a chill hangout session with your friends. They also had work station-worthy tables, with accessible plugs to booth! It was great that I stopped by a couple of hours before lunchtime so I got to enjoy the place with just a couple of customers. I got to drink good coffee and work at the same time. I also liked this café's staff. They were all very helpful and accommodating, a specific trait I always look for in restaurants and coffee shops. At one point, I couldn't seem to get through their Internet connection; one of their waitresses walked up to me and helped me out, without me even asking her to! Really, truly appreciate such helpful service.
