In one large open gallery there were large photographs, paintings, 3D mixed media sculptures and three videos: two digital videos and one film strip. The current show is focused on the life of loggers and fire watch tower workers. The show is surprisingly interesting - each piece of art builds the story of the industry and the people who work in it. Not a bit of political or environmental jargon here - but I guess you bring your own thoughts on that matter. The woman at the front counter was kind and welcoming. And the art shop had some really great pieces - ceramics, jewelry and the ever-present silk scarf collection. Has an art museum shop ever NOT had a silk scarf display?

His hobby for glass works started in 1978 and The Glass Foundry have been open for 22 years now. He is self taught and very talented. He have some different varieties of glass works. Different techniques and series. Mark Lauckner's favourite piece is the rainbow plate. His 9 year old daughter is very talented and made four small plates that have transparent background and colourful triangular patterns or colourful tree in the middle. The Glass Foundry have paper weights, small sculptures to stand or hang (slugs, snails, bear paws, starfish, seahorses, and more), plates, napkin holder (container), candle holder, vases, bowls, decorations, napkin rings, hair clips, earrings, and necklaces (that Mark Lauckner made some wolves with northern lights background for the Northern Lights Wolf Centre to sale and the money goes to donation for the wolves). Some of the plates are made out of 120 pieces on the ring and 800 pieces on the inside. Very nice and open artist, have a sense of humour too. Loved the place would definitely visit again the next time I get another chance to. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend to check this gallery/studio out, I promise you that you won't be disappointed and you might even regret it if you don't visit it. It is super worth it!!!!!

WORST TATTOO EXPERIENCE EVER. I never once said I wanted thors hammer and she didn't tell me that's what she was planning. After this, she refused to work with me on changing the design and when I was told I wouldn't get my 300$ back I suggested she tattoo a symbol that she didn't have to draw she could easily trace. She refused and said i needed to find a new artist. That's when it was no longer a deposit and became theft. I understand that the deposit is there to protect the artist but when there is no communication on design and not willing to work with me at all on changing it. then when I suggest she tattoos something she didn't have to draw and she tells me to kick rock EDIT: I truly wish the situation had not escalated the way it did. However a very polite and understanding manager to the shop has contacted me and informed me that she has been away and that I will receive my money back. Since then the money has been returned to me. Again it was never my wish to upset anyone just to inform people of my experience.
