Organic produce selection has crashed with no option but pesticide-laced junk from who knows where. Add to that the big carts clogging the aisles for stay at home shoppers. The store is constantly out of stock for even basics. There was no 2% milk yesterday. Store brands seem especially affected. I assume this is all about profit and dodging republican taxes on imported food, but this once loyal shopper is looking for a better experience. And no, this is not about the remodel, although I don't understand why they don't just close for a week or so and get the job done instead of stretching it out for 6 months. Sorry to be negative, but would like to see another grocery out here. Harris Teeter? Please?

I know Dollar Tree…read moredoes carry this item and today I'm driving 15 miles away rather than the 4 miles to this store to buy my item. This store is not very old yet it is messy and this is disappointing. It's always cluttered and "junky" looking the times I've been there. I don't go there very often but the few times I have stopped by, the clerk is typically sitting right outside the front door smoking (yuck). On the plus side, the people who work there are friendly.

The recent employee additions to the store have been great…read more But.....................the assistant manager Tammy, who has been there forever and still not learning, is very unprofessional and costing DG money. First, she is too chatty at the register creating longer lines than necessary. This was not a one time occurrence:( Further, while she is the only one on the floor, and checking people, out she is situational unaware. Meaning, while she is talking, people are walking out of the store with merchandise. I have observed this one more than one occasion. To have a superior store they need to eliminate the Tammy cancer. When I see she is working, I walk out of the store and go to the convenience store next door. Police your issue DG! You would have had four starts if it were not for Tammy.

With Covid they try to keep supplies stocked which is not always easy to do, but they try hard. The employees are never just standing around doing nothing they are working and working hard, between cashiering,helping customers and stocking and wiping down shelves. This one of the nicest Dollar Generals I shop at.
