Jessica: Jessica was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was truly amazing. Whether we had questions or requests for the decorators, MC, DJ, day-of coordinator, photographers, videographers, or HMUA, she was always there to help. She was patient, kind, incredibly organized, and never made me feel like my questions were too much. Our Service Instruction worksheet was so detailed that every vendor knew exactly what to expect, which made the entire day run seamlessly. Decoration Team: The décor for both our ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning. Just two weeks before the wedding, I made a major change to our reception backdrop, and the team worked hard to bring my new vision to life. Jessica even arranged for me to see digital mockups after we discussed how important they were to me. Because of that, I was able to completely refresh the design from the inspiration I had shared over a year earlier. My advice: be as specific as possible about what you like and don't like--it really helps the decorators create your vision. Everything was executed beautifully. MC Eric: Eric was phenomenal! We specifically wanted a bilingual English/Vietnamese MC, and he exceeded every expectation. Even our hard-to-impress Vietnamese aunties and uncles couldn't stop complimenting him. He was charismatic, organized, and handled last-minute changes effortlessly. We had to adjust our timeline during the reception, including pausing photos and adding speeches, and he kept everything flowing naturally without awkward downtime. He also perfectly coordinated our unique sequence of dances with the DJ, making every transition feel seamless. DJ Otis: We didn't know who our DJ would be until the wedding day, and we were thrilled it was Otis! He absolutely nailed the music all night. The dance floor stayed packed until 11 PM because he knew exactly how to read the crowd. He mixed current hits with 70s-90s favorites that kept both younger guests and the older Vietnamese crowd dancing. The glow sticks and light-up glasses were a huge hit, and the energy never dropped. Day-of Coordinator Carina: Carina was incredible. She was warm, personable, and unbelievably organized. I thought my planning documents were detailed, but hers were even more thorough! She made me feel completely at ease leading up to the wedding and even drove to Pleasanton to run our rehearsal (an add-on that was absolutely worth it). Multiple vendors and family members commented on how efficient and organized she was. Photography & Videography: Our package included an engagement shoot plus two photographers and two videographers. Sam photographed both our engagement session and wedding, and his work was beautiful. We chose his light and airy editing style, and our engagement photos turned out amazing. On the wedding day, Sam and Christine were fantastic. They captured every moment while making us feel comfortable. One thing I'll never forget was how Sam noticed we hadn't had a moment to ourselves because of nonstop photos. He quietly pulled us away under the guise of a private reception reveal so we could enjoy a few peaceful minutes together. It was such a thoughtful gesture. Once in a blue moon, a company surpasses my expectations. When I first contacted Circle Video from…read moresearching online, I explained I had a fairly extensive video editing project and was under a very tight deadline. I was new to the Bay Area and had nothing more to go on than my first impressions over the phone. I explained that the project would involve three distinct "phases" requiring precise syncing to a soundtrack on specific musical beats, fast cut edits (3 seconds or less) with faultless transitions of over 150 photos into a 3-minute soundtrack, and setting multiple video clips to a timed soundtrack, balancing audios to enhanced voice-over-sound. I had a very special objective in mind. My stepdaughter was out of state at college, and I learned that she had a falling out with her dad. I knew she missed him, because they had always been very close. I was determined to find a way to remind her of all the happy times she had with him, and me, as a very special 19th birthday gift. The finished project was envisioned to be a time capsule of her life, through pictures put to a special piece of music, from birth to high school graduation. Part of the gift would be delivery of a 32" HDTV and DVD player for her to watch the video on. So this was a project that would demand a professional video production company. My first impressions of James over the phone were that he understood what I wanted, and I felt comfortable that he had the ability to complete the work. I liked the fact that he could schedule studio time right away so we could get started. I knew exactly what I wanted the finished product to look like, and so he suggested I sit in to provide direction as he edited. The session was long and very focused, but James never tired. He was friendly, attentive, thorough, and knowledgeable in his craft. Within days, James had completed my project for pickup. A week later, my phone rang. It was my stepdaughter who tearfully thanked me for her birthday gift. I knew the tv was not causing her tears. It was something else. I asked how she liked the video. She said all her friends had watched the 14-minute video and they were all blown away! And then she got quiet for a moment, choking back emotion. I waited. She said, "Mom, I called dad. After watching the video a few times, I realized we need each other." Rarely have I written a review because I'm almost never satisfied with customer service or results. But this is one company that truly met and exceeded my expectations. I can truly say James and Circle Video are outstanding!
