Had a good experience with Red Dog Shredz for a small amount of paper documents to be shredded. Per their instructions, I had removed dark heavy file folders, cardboard, paper clips and binder clips. Pulled in and we got to work, pouring my files into the larger bin out front. As the documents went into the truck, I got to watch the documents getting shredded via a TV monitor. Just walk on into the shop and they can unload them from your car for you. They have a shredder inside. But I prefer the mobile shred truck because most of the time I have several boxes. I called this location to confirm what hours it was open till. I was told 5:30. I am a real estate agent that is helping a 95 year old man sell a mobile home in Grass Valley. I loaded a full F150 truck with boxes of taxes that this gentlemen asked they all be shredded. I urgently drove with this load of paperwork to the Rocklin location. This company charges twice as much as Pacific Shredding but I needed my truck unloaded. After showing this job to this young man, of which I talked to on the phone just minutes before, he told me he stopped shredding at 5:00, which is not what he told me on the phone, then "he did not get paid after 5:30" Seeing his reluctance to help me, I offered to take my business else where. He grudgingly took the wheeler out to my truck and I started to push these boxes onto the edge of my truck. I dumped as fast as I could these heavy boxes into the wheeler. He dumped and threw the empty boxes all over the parking lot. After the mess was left in the parking lot, he went back inside and waved from the door that the bill was ready. Explaining how the extra 25 minutes of HIS time by helping me, it came to $310. I gave him a tip, for all that 20 minutes he was "not paid" I received no thanks you's, he locked the door and drove off. The parking lot full of boxes. Very bad customer service . I wont be bringing my business or referring this company to my many real estate clients. read more

They refused to come out during business hours so I had to wait for them to come after they closed. They called me and it kinda sounded like they didn't want to even come out. But they showed up. Red Dog Shred is tucked in the back of a retail center, and the entry is a little tricky, depending on which direction you travel on Folsom-Auburn Road. Use the entrance for the gas station and cross over. That's the easiest way. Staff is friendly and efficient. What I like best is that you can stay and watch your items get tossed into the giant shredder located at the back of the parking lot. (Only if you want to, of course).
