I was known throughout Central Ohio for attending all the wedding expo's meeting almost every vendor in town and interviewing them. I treated it like a full time job, except as a bride. One thing I really liked that I specifically remember right before my wedding was this jeweler was so kind as to add the finishing clean to my wedding ring before I walked down the aisle. I cannot say the jeweler that my husband bought the wedding ring from would do this for me because it never happened. The reason I appreciated it was because they realized I didn't have much time and really wanted my ring to look good. That service went very far in my books! Recently, Helzberg sent me a Happy Anniversary card and why this meant so much to me was because I really was going through a hard week. Seeing a card in the mail that acknowledged my upcoming 1 year anniversary meant the world to me. It meant somebody was thinking about us and wished us well. Sometimes a card can go far when you least realize it and this place knew how to cheer someone up. The Helzberg team really knows how to make people in town feel special with their jewelery. In my opinion, this is what a jeweler should be all about is that special feeling you get. I don't feel like just another commissioned sale when I walk in. They earn my business with straight forward honest opinions on the jewelry I'm looking for and they have great taste. Of course, my SO and her family think I have great taste, so I guess I am taking all the credit these ladies deserve. Also, I have never been ignored. I don't know how purchasing jewelry from this store is. My review is just about getting rings…read moresized/repaired. I stopped in based on the reviews. I have a ring that had a 3.0+mm wide and 2.3mm depth band. It needed to be sized down almost a full size. I took it in and was guaranteed they could do it no issue... They told me the band would get thicker because they would be bringing the thicker sides in. I left it with them for a week, as I don't live in Columbus . I was so happy to get it back and didn't really notice until about half an hour later: my ring hurt to wear. I took it off and looked at it and I was devastated. You could feel where they cut the shank, it was wavy, the was no uniformity to the edges, and it was oblong. I called and they apologized profusely. Asked me to take it to the store in Cleveland and they would let that store know we were coming. They did not. The store in Cleveland had no idea I was coming. Turns out, I paid the store in Columbus for the honor of someone ruining my ring. It lost nearly half a mm in depth and thickness. The store in Cleveland did the best they could. They would have had to order shanks and tried to color match the rose gold but it could have ended worse than before. Turns out the Columbus store didn't even resize it correctly and left it a quarter of a size too big. So unless you want your jewelry ruined, take it anywhere else. We were going to purchase an engagement ring from this company, but I'll take my business to alibaba before here. The store manager did refund my 125 resizing fee, or the fee I paid them to take gold out of my ring and leave me with something I couldn't wear. He told me it was weird that it ended up thinner than before because "taking a ring in shouldnt do that". My ring was 2.5mm wide and 1.9mm depth before the Cleveland. Actually fixed it. My question is this: where is the material they took out of my ring and why was I not compensated for that when they trashed my ring? My ring will never be the same. Go anywhere else.

When I made the purchase, I told the sales rep, who seemed disinterested from the beginning, that I needed a necklace for that night since I was from out of town. After trying both on at my hotel, I decided to wear the rope necklace because the Cuban link style was too short. Today is September 3, and I went back to the mall to return the Cuban link necklace. When I arrived, there was no one at the kiosk for about 10 minutes. Eventually, two women came and assisted me. I explained to one of them that I wanted to return the Cuban link necklace because I didn't like the length. She inspected it, processed the refund, handed me the final receipt, and I left. I then went to the food court to enjoy some pizza from Sbarro. As I was eating, the same woman who processed the return approached me aggressively, accusing me of trying to return a necklace that wasn't purchased at her store. She went on a rant, threatening to call security and accusing me of scamming a small business. She told me that she had voided my refund, claiming I was trying to pull a scam. Then as she walked off I was called a "broke a** n****". I was completely confused, feeling as though I was being punked. When I tried to respond, she stormed off. This can be verified via the cameras in the mall. I cleaned up my trash and returned to the jewelry kiosk, attempting to discuss the situation. However, the woman was still visibly upset and angry. I requested that they review the camera footage from August 31 to verify my purchase, but they refused. The sales rep who sold me the necklaces was present and claimed that she didn't remember selling them to me. Their reasoning was that the clasp on the necklace didn't match the ones they carried. I asked them to show me the clasps on other similar necklaces, and it turned out to be the same clasp. The only difference was that my clasp had a mark on it, which could have come from me trying to open it. They refused to acknowledge this possibility. Instead, I was labeled as a scammer, supposedly trying to cheat their business because others had done so in the past. They claimed the necklace looked worn, even though I had only put it on once to check it in the mirror. After reading other reviews, I realized that this kind of complaint about the necklace's color wearing off seemed common. After about seven minutes, the woman who had processed my return came back and apologized for approaching me so aggressively in the food court. Throughout this process, she and my sister exchanged words because my sister was upset about how we had been treated from the start, and rightfully so. I reiterated that I was from out of town and that I had a similar necklace back home in North Carolina. They accused me of swapping the necklaces to deceive them, I could provide names, but the woman with braids refused to give hers. I appreciated the apology, but I was still unhappy about how I had been treated. The necklace was only $120, which wasn't a big deal; I just didn't need it and was traveling back to North Carolina the next day. Ultimately, they never reviewed the footage. I left with a voided refund and no necklace, as I told them to keep it because I didn't need it. They mentioned it would just go in the trash. I've bought a necklace from them in the past without any issues, but this time was different and disappointing. Please review the footage from today September 3rd and from August 31st.
