I saw this shop here on Yelp and decided I wanted to stop in and check it out. I had never been here before and really didn't know too much about it other than what I saw and read online. In one of the pics I saw a little beehive Christmas ornament so thought I would go check it out (my mom is bee anything crazy). I wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me but once I saw the beatiful mural on the side, I knew where I was heading. Really friendly staff and some really cute gifts here. I was promptly greeted when I came in and was offered some coffee or water. I had to pass as it was a quick stop but I really liked the vide here. The shop had a bit of everything including clothing, candles, jewelry, and all sorts of gifts including some gorgeous drinking glasses. Definitely worth browsing just to check it all out. Overall, it looked like the general price point is on the higher end but nothing too outrageous for a boutique shop. I did find the ornament I saw in the picture but I know my mom already has the same one, or one that could pass off as its twin anyway. So many cute gifts and would totally visit again even though I didn't find something this trip. I really had to resist buying something just to buy it (holidays and all) but they have so much cute stuff. read more

Thread is a high end boutique. Such a great place.  Beautifully decorated with very friendly staff.  If I had cash to burn, I would be shopping here all the time. From beautiful cloths to jewelries to home décor and much more. They carry various high end brands, which explains the price tag. But everything I came across was top quality. The staff will leave you alone to look around but if you need it, they will give you their undivided attention. Super friendly and knowledge staffs.  Also, there is ample parking outside of the store. read more

I recently visited Thread for the first time but it will not be my last. The store smelled lovely as soon as I walked through the door. There was so many options from clothing to skin care to candles to home décor. I was able to find the cutest ornament for my tree! I cannot wait to visit again in the future when I have more time to browse. read more

This shop is absolutely adorable! Whether you are looking for some new clothing, jewelry, or a fun gift - this shop has it all! Whoever was in charge of the design of this shop definitely knew what they were doing! It is hard for me to decide my favorite part of this store, but the tree with jewelry on it is definitely high up on the list! The store has a very open concept. The door is an open garage, which allowed the cool breeze to come in when I was there. I was immediately greeted when I walked into the store and the employee asked if I wanted anything to drink. There were also cookies at the register for customers. The store is very personalized and customer oriented. A majority of the store is clothing however when you start to make your way to the register you find decorations for around the house and little trinkets. There were different Christmas ornaments all over. There is definitely something for everyone at this store! Expect it to be a little more on the expensive side for jewelry and clothing. I came in here to pick up a yelpie bag and left with a ton of Christmas gifts and a few things for myself. The staff was very warm and helpful. Their clothes and accessories are so beautiful! They have home stuff as well. Although a bit pricey, it's well worth it! I will be back for sure. read more

Great store! The clothes, jewelry and accessories are unique as they carry a lot of designers not carried in Columbus or even Ohio. My favorites are the European and local designers they carry. The staff is knowledgable, honest and the owners are simply gems! They also carry well known designers such as Rebecca Minkoff, Tracy Reese and Tom Ford (accessories). Service is top notch too. One on one attention if you want it. They let you browse peacefully alone if you prefer as well. A Columbus favorite! read more

Great products and even better customer service!! I am blown away by the staff's willing to assist me and make things happen for me in such a short turn-around time. I live in Chicago but was in Columbus for a wedding and stopped in the store. Little did I know that I'd find the perfect dress for another wedding in the next 2 weeks. When I tried the dress on, the staff was very accommodating to bring me shoes with the heel height I would usually wear. (This was a floor-length dress that would require some alterations.) I fell in love and knew I had to have the dress. I was worried that I would not be able to have the dressed hemmed and ready by the time I had to leave for my next wedding. The THREAD team made it happen and in an impeccable time!! I had the dress hemmed and delivered to my Chicago address in 8 days. That is unheard of with tailors in Chicago. In addition to them exceeding my expectation on a deadline, the tailoring looks wonderful! I am so excited to show off this dress this weekend. THREAD on Grandview is a completely unique boutique! They have so many great lines that cannot be found anywhere else in Columbus and as they told me in some cases anywhere else in the country. The store has a warm, friendly, comfortable vibe and a very helpful staff that is more than willing to help outfit you if you need any help. They also have a great assortment of accessories. Their price points were also reasonable as they offer a range. You can tell they put a lot of love and care into the items they pick out to sell. Ok when I'm rollin' in at least 100K a year this place will be 5 stars - unique brands/designers and one of a kind type pieces. But the reality is I am poor and cannot shell out $250+ on a dress. The lower price point items are for things like leggings and basic tshirts. A few cute dressy tops for under $70 but seriously when I say a few a mean a few. Sale rack is sparse but then again they're still a new store so maybe it will beef up and actually have seasonally relevant items soon. While the jewelry is cute and trendy, extremely similar items can be purchased on etsy.com for easily 1/3 or less of their prices (why would you ever pay retail markup if you don't have too?). They do offer alterations services for items purchased (not free but I think at a reduced price) and can ship you merchandise if you don't live locally, as the previous reviewer mentioned they definitely pride themselves on being able to offer designers not carried in any other Columbus boutique or department store. Sales associates will tell you stories about how the piece you're trying on was made by the designer in New Orleans or Hawaii - ya know subtle patriotic/rebuilding America undertones. I think of myself as designer savvy (familiar w/ every name on shopbop, netaporter... yes I know I am poor but I browse like I am not) and I haven't heard of 95% of the designers carried here, so they ain't lyin' when they say you can't find what they carry anywhere else (which also means you can't price shop and you have no basis for knowing if the dress, in retail mathematics markup language, should really in fact be retailing for $250). You don't have to be in your 20s to shop here - I've seen women in their 50s and 60s trying on duds and it still looks age appropriate on them (obviously they're the ones who can afford this stuff). While this store appeals to my fashion taste, it alienates me due to their prices. read more

I received a gift certificate to this store and honestly thought there was no way I would like anything in here. It's a high end, unique clothing store with many one of a kind designer items. I am a retired and casual gal. Boy was I wrong. First the customer service is the best I have ever seen and they helped me find beautiful clothing that suited me perfectly and is the nicest and most unique I have ever owned. Words cannot describe how beautiful and unique the style of the merchandise is . All ages and men and women can shop here. The inventory is really lovely and there is something there for everyone. I've been here shopping several times and the service for the most part has been satisfactory but inconsistent. Recently I have asked for a certain dress to be put on hold. It was to be brought down from another store in the Columbus area to be on hold for me. I have personally stopped in the store twice to inquire about the dress and have called the store twice to ask about the dress. Every time it is a new experience. The dress is not there and people do not know what I'm talking about. I have left messages and my phone number several times with the employees and today have finally demanded to speak with a manager who was not in but will be in tomorrow. Hopefully at that time I will get this issue resolved. It is just ridiculous. Of course this is not the end of the world. There are issues that are larger than this. I'm just disappointed with the customer service from a community business that I would like to support. At this point I'm just going to buy the dress from the manufacture's website.
