Short version: Lindsey is AHmazing. Details: I got married last weekend, and have been planning to do my own hair since we got engaged. Started playing with styles about a week ahead of time, and it just wasn't working. At All. My hair wasn't holding any curl (I love damp fall days in Oregon, but not when I want my hair curled), and there was just no way I was going to get it to stay styled for 8 hours, even though all I was going for was a little side-swept look with some curls. I called the salon a couple days before my wedding and left a message. Lindsey was quick to call me back in the morning, was able to rearrange her schedule, and did my hair *perfectly*, even without a trial run. It wasn't crunchy. It held the curl, and when it started to fall (because that's just what happens to curls in my hair), it was still gorgeous. I needed someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and came across a couple recommendations for Red Hills Salon, specifically Lindsay Floyd for hair and Bri Provoast for makeup. I went in for a trial back in April and they were fantastic. I showed Lindsay some pictures of hair styles I liked and made note of specifics and she went with it. First try looked good but we had some tweaks which she made right there and my hair looked amazing. She took pictures of it so she could make sure to get it right on the wedding day as well. Bri was just as amazing. She did my makeup and let me take a look and after a couple changes, she had it good. Come wedding day (Aug 19!), we (myself, 2 bridesmaids, and step daughter/flower girl) met them at the Salon and had a super fun, relaxing morning. Lindsay started with my hair which took just about an hour and looked exactly how I was hoping. She even showed us the best way to put in and take out my veil. I did my makeup last and Bri even paused and waited for my videographer to arrive so they could get some video of me getting made up. I had a couple more changes for Bri on my overall look which she effortlessly incorporated and my makeup turned out perfectly. It held up all day and still looked amazing at the end of the night. Bri even gave us a little touch up kit that included a brand new full size lipstick, a blender, and a couple other things which I ended up not even needing but was nice to have available. All in all, I highly recommend both Lindsay and Bri. They have super affordable prices and are super fun and easy to work with! Thank you ladies! read more

Saw Lindsey a couple of times. She cancelled on me about three hours Before our third appointment, said she wasn't feeling well. Then when I told her no problem and asked to reschedule she never did. Apparently she didn't enjoy me as a patron because she never returned a response or rescheduled me...ever. I'm giving this place 5 stars because I had the greatest experience from Stephenie Johnson. Being half Italian and half Islander I am quite cautious of people touching my curly hair (cutting and coloring). I had one hair stylist who was amazing back in Beaverton but once I moved to Newberg the commute was just too much. I hesitantly went into Red Hills off of a recommendation from a friend and was so lucky to have found Stephanie. She is so talented and actually LISTENS to what you ask. I didn't even have to show her a picture (which I've done before and DID NOT get any result close) she already knew. She is so friendly, upbeat and professional and makes a haircut feel like you are just hanging out with one of your girlfriends. She truly cares about making people feel beautiful and the quality of her work and it shows. I loved her so much I took her up on some lash offers and nails. I'm telling you guys, this girl is talented and knowledgeable. Stephanie Johnson is worth your time and money, highly recommend! read more

Every girl knows that there's very few and rare people you can trust with your hair. Even when you do semi trust someone you're always afraid they're going to mess it up by cutting too much off, or coloring it the wrong shade. With Lindsey Floyd from "Red Hills Salon" you don't have to worry at all. She is excellent with cut, color, and waxing. She fix my hair with one session from months of my past hair stylist ruining it. She posts some of her work on the web and everything she's done is the most beautiful and stunning hair I've ever seen. She is so talented and amazing at her job. And very sweet too. I have brought my family over to her as well and we've all switched over to Lindsey as our main hair dresser. I haven't gotten my hair cut in about a year (I know, I know) and I decided it was finally time. My hair felt dead and the last place I went cut my layers uneven. I pretty much had a mess of a mop on my head. Lindsey is amazing. I don't think my hair has ever felt this healthy. I told her I didn't want to lose too much length but that I knew my hair was really dead. I don't even know how she accomplished it but my hair is beautiful!! I would definitely recommend this place. I sent a message on FB messenger on a Tuesday at 4:22 pm asking if any stylists had availability on Saturday. My messages was viewed two minutes later and then never responded to. I would have appreciated a response even if it was to tell me no and offer another option. Just not responding is pretty terrible customer service. read more

They answered the phone and my daughter asked if we could get pedicures this afternoon, they did not respond. So, I said yes we would like pedicures. They acted like it was a prank call. We called back, the phone rang and the answering machine finally picked up. I left my number asked for pedicures and have not gotten a call back. Still no call back. Bad customer service. I'm one of those people who are so picky about who does my hair that I'd rather have split ends and have it shaggy than to let someone I don't know get their hands on it. I have tried a few salons in the Newberg area hoping to find someone who clicked when I first moved here. Sure enough, after a few close calls, I found Lindsey Floyd and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was growing my hair out so I only needed it trimmed for the first couple of years since I've been here. Surprisingly people can actually mess up on a trim, but from day one Lindsey nailed it. What prompted me to write this review is that I decided to go a totally different direction with my hair and Lindsey pulled it off like a pro. No more long brown hair to trim, now it's shoulder length, dirty blonde with awesome highlights and my layers look amazing!! Taking into account that a change like that can take a couple of times to get perfect, I called Lindsey to let her know there was a couple of spots I wanted touched-up. She fit me in right away, refused the extra tip I wanted to give her, and gave me a handful of hair samples (they were like full size bottles) and said she appreciates having me as a customer. Now how can you beat that?! You won't be disappointed with Lindsey, she frickn ROCKS!! read more

Beautiful and clean salon, great wine- would not however recommend Aubrey unfortunately- at least not for an afternoon appointment. It was very rushed and she didn't even dry/style my hair. It was $170 for one color partial weave and my hair doesn't even look remotely different as it did when I walked in. Highly disappointed in my experience as I'm not one to usually spend that kind of money on anything. read more
