It was an insurance job and the owners upstairs brought in Hay Runner. They showed up when they said they would. They were all professional and did what they said they would do and the repair was of the quality I would have done. We are redoing our bathroom and are considering using them for the job. I'm 63 and retired and would be happy not to do the work since it seems like we have found a professional reliable group that can. My wife is meeting with their designers. So far a great experience and would highly recommend Hay Runner.

Engaged for a 8 month renovation, Hay Runner provided a certificate of substantial completion after over 19 months and billed 50% over their estimated cost. Throughout the project Hay Runner refused to provide basic project information (schedule, budget to actual updates, subcontracts, vendor invoices, etc) and provided inaccurate updates on status/timing of the project. Rather than provide such information, Hay Runner threatened to walk off the project. This pattern of behavior unfortunately starts at the top with the aggressive behavior of its owner, Shannon Richards. Happy to share additional details if you are considering a project with Hay Runner.

Eric and Aimee Pfeffer started out well, diligent and attentive. Shortly after the beginning of…read morework, communication went downhill and in a detrimental way to the job. I hired a general contractor specifically to run the job as I needed to work. Eric, the primary contractor (Aimee, the "owner" wasn't on site since day 1 and only communicated when her husband was away), was rarely on site, giving no guidance to subcontractors, electricians, plumbers, floor refinishers, carpenters, painters, etc. The outcome of this was work done incorrectly and me having to miss work to be on site to put out fires. Some fires couldn't be put out and I'm stuck with mistakes and extra work that never needed to be done (an electrical subpanel, incorrect finish on the floor, insulation in spots that weren't supposed to be insulated and missing from spots that needed it and more). The worst part has been the fact that Edge wasn't paying these subcontractors. Three of them were discussing options with their lawyers and were close to putting a mechanics lien on my property. Supposedly some type of payment plan was settled on and kept them from doing that, but Eric was blatantly lying to both sides. Telling the subs I hadn't paid (which I had paid over 90% of the grand total at that point) and telling me the subs were "all set". The work started on the contracted 2 month job December 2020. It is now one year later and nothing has been settled. The subcontractors won't complete work as they haven't been paid in full, issues are left unfinished and the communication has stopped. The last communication with Eric was him promising he'd fix the outstanding work and for me to email a list; that was over 2 months ago. I'm left with unfinished electrical work, holes in the ceiling, single pane exterior doors (a major over site that they wanted me to pay in full to replace with actual double pane exterior doors), missed sections of flooring, a plumbing hook up that was done incorrectly and more. The work that was done was hurried and sloppy. Bowed walls, baseboard miters that are off by 1/4", missing latches, doors hinged on the incorrect side, poor, very visible patch work in drywall/paint, no attention to detail what-so-ever. Please, I implore you, look elsewhere!

Stay away from Edge. They quit on us before finishing the work on our cottage in OOB. Never…read moreresponded to calls or texts to explain why they quit. They will say what you want to hear when they are with you but too often they don't deliver on the promises they make.
