We all met in an acting class in Bloomington, IL and formed an acting troop known as The Dead Barbers. We specialize in reenactments of moments that happened a few minutes ago. Our round of golf went really very well. We know how busy it can be on a Saturday and totally understood that carts were in short supply. There were clear tiers in the power rankings of our group of 7 Dead Barbers' golfing performance. Tier one was Red 2 Snakes. Tier two was White 7 Squirrel. Tier three was Blue 4 Bruiser. Tier four was Green 3 Fox, Black 5 Hawk, and Pink 1 Puma. And finally tier 5 was Gray 6 Sheriff who didn't participate due to LLLL. The staff was very helpful and in a great mood especially in the pro shop. Some highlights of our 9 holes included a Packers training camp filibuster, a return of the Lost Ball Boys, sad songs on the playlist, and a X 9 or nothing last hole where a Pink 1 Puma golf ball got scooped up by a black hole. We both had the thick cut New York strip, with grilled asparagus and roasted baby red potatoes. I'm going to place my meal here in the top five best meals I have ever had. Everything was cooked perfectly. But the steak, that was hands down the best part; high quality cut of meat that lived up to the thick cut menu description, seasoned and cooked perfectly with almost no fat. The steak came with caramelized sautéed mushrooms and onions that were a wonderful compliment. The asparagus was nicely grilled with great flavor and a good crunch, something that I loved because I hate mushy over cooked asparagus. The baby red potatoes were also perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have an extremely high appreciation for the culinary industry and the art that goes in to quality food, and the meal I had here today clearly presented the strong passion of the Chef who prepared it. The staff was amazing to work with. The course was beautiful and the service exceptional from Andrew. He assisted in helping us get this event off the ground as we had never planned an outing before. Everyone told us what a great time they had. The food was delicious thanks to Bob and his staff. From beginning to end it was a great experience. We will be choosing our date for next year to return!
