    Butter chicken and Garlic Naan
    Ashley F.

This Indian restaurant is so delicious. If you're looking for some real good Indian food go here. This place is not Americanized or trying to serve for Americans. I ordered the butter chicken- 10/10. My partner and I devoured it. We got extra spicy because it's not really Indian if it's not spicy. It tasted so homey and warm. Like love. It truly had an amazing balance between spicy, sweet, and savory. I also had garlic Naan, regular naan, and beef momos. All of them were delicious. I enjoyed the garlic naan more than the regular one but both were very delicious. The service was also very good. Waitress was sweet and attentive.

Istanbul next door was closed so we tried the closest option and we're glad we did. Service was great! The chili momos were a bit al dente but the taste was great. We had the vindaloo which was fine. The Nepalese style of vindaloo is tomato dominant and is a bit watery and very red in color. The naan was a bit rubbery, perhaps it was made the day before and taken out of the refrigerator?

Service was pleasant, the server was really careful with what level of spice we ordered which was very thoughtful. (I suspect even though we ordered medium spice, he told them not to add too much spice out of fear we couldn't handle it lol) The atmosphere was okay, food was delicious, but presentation needs a bit of improvement. We ordered different main dishes, but all of them came in the same size bowl and all came with a bowl of rice. Even though this presentation is common in similar restaurants, this makes the portions look smaller than they actually are. I think it would be better to serve it on a plate with rice and a common South Asian side dish. This would improve the presentation, provide more flavor diversity, and value to the customer. 3*Cauliflower: taste was decent but I felt it should have been a little crispier 3*Veg Korma: sauce was on the sweet side 3*Chicken Tikka Masala: pretty good flavor and the meat was tender, sauce was ever so slightly on the sour side, still tasted good, but different than what I am used to. 3*Goat Curry mild: ordered mild, tasty and mild spicy.

Visited Burlington over the 4th of July long weekend and saw the glowing reviews at Red Panda. We arrived for a late lunch around 2pm and it was mostly empty inside as it was rather warm to eat outside. Overall I'm a fan of this place. the Goat Curry is super delicious and portion size is generous. The Vindaloo is a bit too sour though with the spice, the meat was tender but just wished the sauce was a little more mild. They did ask for spice level but wasn't aware it was bit sour too. The chicken momo was pretty good but I didn't like how hard the dough skins were I guess I was more used to the softer Chinese dumpling skins. However they tasted great and I liked how the chili complemented it. The service was excellent as the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Its definitely a good place if you wanted to give a Nepalese food a try here :)

Went here for lunch on a cold winter weekday. Quaint ambiance, great Indian and Nepalese food. Tried both veg and chicken chilli momos - great taste but felt a bit doughy.

As a connesuer of Indian food and more recently Nepalese food, I was looking forward to my dinner tonight. My order consisted of mango lassi, aloo kulcha, daal soup, chicken pakoras, vegetable samosas, white rice and butter chicken. As is always the case when I eat Indian food, I order all the basic items with medium heat so I can compare restaurants evenly. Here is a breakdown of my order: Mango lassi - store bought, prepackaged. Disappointed it wasn't fresh, it was overly sweet and not much flavor to it other than sugar. Aloo kulcha - I didn't get to try, it was forgotten from my dash order. Daal soup - easily the best dish I had tonight. Flavorful, spicy. I poured it over rice. It was lovely. Highly recommend. Chicken pakoras - prepared similar to boneless chicken wings with a red sauce but without the spice. Flat, uninspired flavor. Vegetable samosas - minimal spice, almost no savoriness, almost like eating plain mashed potatoes wrapped in dough. White rice - fluffy, not sticky or dry. Perfectly cooked. No cardamom pods or saffron added for flavor. Butter chicken - sadly was very disappointing. Tasted little better than Campbell's tomato soup with chunks of chicken in it. No heat, no flavor. If it wasn't for the onion and green pepper in it, it wouldn't have had any flavor or substance at all. Overall very disappointing dinner. The food items alone added up to $59, with delivery, tax and tip it totaled $80. Not even close to worth it. If I go back, which I highly doubt I will, I'll get two or more orders of the daal soup, some rice and the aloo kulcha so I can try it. If you're looking for great Indian food, go to Masala Elaichi. Better food, more food, better value.

A serviceable Indian restaurant in an area with few Indian restaurants. They have all the staples from Samosas to curries. They also have some Nepalese dishes. Lunch prices were around $15-17 for main course which include a modest amount of protein in curry sauce served with a side of rice. Nothing stood out to me aside from my lamb vindaloo being a bit sweeter and thicker than I'm used to.

Context : I am a north Indian who has lived in New Delhi for 25 years. The staff and the chef at Red Panda from Nepal ( confirmed ) Tl;Dr : STAY THE F** AWAY. Can't believe this establishment has 4.5 stars Nowhere close to north Indian or even the nepali food. Pathetic. People who have rated this restaurant more than 1 star have no idea what this cuisine is. So, I ordered veg chowmien, veggie Momo's, pepper fry chicken and spring rolls. They were all lame. Chowmien reeked of uncooked tumeric , absolutely bland. The chef didn't even care to Julien the carrots . ( That's basic in Indo nepali chowmien ) Spring rolls weren't fried. They were stale. Same with chicken pepper. It was basically stale chicken re fried with some pepper thrown for the sake of it. Momo's - like I couldn't believe the momos ( nepali dumplings ) which were served. It's THE NEPALI CUISINE. The momos had super thick flour layer and the veggies inside were MEH. what a shame

This place is a gem hidden in plain sight. I've never even noticed it before, but I decided to give it a try this afternoon. Not disappointed. Everything was fantastic! Highly recommend.

Perfect for a cold night visiting Burlington. The butter chicken was perfect and the medium spice is the best amount of heat and enjoyability. Not a huge fan of the momo but the white basmati rice and garlic naan are home runs.

They also have some vegetables, frozen food, some cheap looking household deco stuff, and calling cards to India and Asian countries. The store is owned and operated by a Nepali family and is quite evident when you see them all hanging out behind the counter like it was their living room. The owner did ask me to let him know if I needed something in particular or if I couldn't find what I was looking for. The store didn't look particularly clean or organized which is typical of Asian stores in many places. I purchased some Indian chips/snacks to give them some business. Go past the dashes for the review. I'm just giving context here…read more The Burlington I knew was 3ft taller, and had a human gyroscope on Church Street right outside a Japanese restaurant. What I don't remember are good momos. April 8th, 2024. The eleventh hour. We were short on time. The streets are never this crowded. Everyone was excited. Coming from the SF Bay Area, we have very good access to good momos at least in South Bay. What we got this day in Burlington would have been a great challenger to all the Momo shops in the Bay Area that I'm typing this review in right now. (Ignore the dashes in words. I don't want people to find my review using the words with dashes because this was a special day.) ----------------- 3 orders of momos. Chai. The restaurant was absolutely over-whelmed. The front of the restaurant were packed to the br-im with customers wai-ting for their takeout orders. We had to wa-it ha-lf an ho-ur for ours. After all, the steamers could cook only so many momos at once. Everyone was nervous, excited, and on their toes. Yet, service was not compromised. The owner, understanding our frustration, gave us some mango lassi while we waited. We're finally opened up the tin container when we got to our viewing location, which was around, 20 minutes? We loved it. The momos were still warm and juicy. The flavors were relatively basic, rustic, but also felt very healthy, in a sense that it was missing that je ne sais quoi, that roundness in taste, that I assume is a LACK of MSG. What kicked this into 11 was the chutney it came with. More tomato heavy than my average experience. You could taste how clean the tomatoes were. It was FRESH! Now, that was ahead of a special event that may never happen in this Burlington again in our lifetime. I imagine things would be even better on any other day.

Excellent food and service, and reasonably priced. We'll return in the future. (Characters,…read morecharacters, characters)

Not only is the food delicious with large servings, but the folks at the restaurant are extremely nice (that alone makes me want to keep going back!). I usually opt for saag paneer, paratha, and steamed veggie momos.
