We met the two chef-brothers and their recipe-creating father at their new restaurant. We were so happy with their food that it took restraint not to hug them. I'm not kidding. Within the first few bites of food, we knew - they're gonna need a bigger place. Sure enough, we got there about 5:30 p.m. and by 6 they were packed, inside and outside. Even in the nearby college town of Burlington, Vermont, most of their restaurants close at 9, even on Saturday nights (Why???). Before finding Namaste Garden, we spent 2 days eating bland, poorly cooked restaurant food until we resorted to eating better food from a local supermarket. And then we found this restaurant - we ate so many dishes and took nearly the same order to go. We had Shahi Thali, a combination of great dishes, rice, bread, etc. We don't eat meat or dairy and the chefs accommodated us. Their saag was the best I've ever had. Their Dal Makani, Dal Tarka, Rajma curry and Chana curry were just the best. (Sorry Broward county chefs, these guys really are better - I'm watching out for lightning right now.) We lived off of their food for the next few days - morning and night - and regretfully tossed the remaining few leftovers. It was delicious. If I lived nearby, I'd eat there every day. The chefs were so humble for their talent and their father was proud of the results of his recipes. This family knows flavor and how to best represent the food of their ancestors. They also respect their guests and happily make vegan, vegetarian and mildly spiced dishes. We miss them. I mean it. Of all the people, places and experiences we had, we miss this family and their wonderful food. I've considered asking them to ship an order to me, but I don't believe they're set up to do that yet. They're still grappling with the fact that, after a few months, their new place is already not big enough.

The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. We didn't even have our coats off and we were greeted with the biggest smiles! They made us feel so welcome. He explained all the food and even brought my husband masala tea which he just loved. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

Best Indian food I've had in 5 years! Allergy friendly and knowledgeable server able to accommodate all special requests. Many items on the menu are vegan or can be made vegan, and multiple gluten free options. Service is great and the establishment is clean and welcoming. Everything was tasty with a good amount of spice - they prepare heat on an "Indian" scale so if you order spicy hot, be prepared to drink a lot of mango lassi! Prices are very reasonable and our order of 7 items came to only $30. A definite repeat!

    Yummy!

Fantastic! Can't wait to return to try Other dishes! Everything was so tasty. Home made cheese was delicious! Highly recommend the Saag! Try a little desert too!

Delicious, vegan surprise! A friend and I stopped in for a light bite and something warm to drink on a freezing day. The appetizers were delicious, the service was prompt and attentive and the masala tea was so good!

Great food, friendly staff. An awesome place for take out or simple done in. I get the swag paneer usually, but everything is good.

This restaurant in Essex Junction is vegetarian, and most items can easily be made vegan. Good-tasting and consistent food offerings.

We got three wraps- Caesar- amazing Greca- good Pesto- not so good Caesar wrap was the best tasting. I'd go back just for that! It was also huge! Greek style wrap was tasty, but not as good as the Caesar. Husband got the pesto wrap and he was disappointed. It didn't taste like pesto at all. It was pretty much just filled with quinoa or hemp (we couldn't figure out what the taste was) but it really wasn't that pesto flavor at all. Disappointing because it was pricey. I understand that good quality food is expensive and we're willing to pay for it if it's good. We also got two of the cacao peanut butter balls that were in containers in front and they were tasty. I'd recommend this place if you want to be full and not feel bad about what you ate! I'd suggest a better rewards system for returning customers because eating like that is not affordable for someone like me. Unfortunately the first time I ordered they didn't ask if I wanted to sign up for rewards and I spent nearly $70 so I guess I lost those points? Regardless, the best option for quick and healthy food in the area!!!

It has a really cute, homey feel, and the staff were all friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. We ordered the Skits N' Gravy, a side of the sourdough pancake, and two coffees. My husband--who absolutely loves biscuits and gravy--was excited to see the Skits N' Gravy on the menu. While it wasn't quite what he expected (the biscuit was much denser than a traditional biscuit and the gravy is bacon-based rather than sausage), he still enjoyed trying something different but said he'd just order a different dish next time as this was not his favorite. I had the sourdough pancake, and for a "side," it was impressively large. It was delicious and came with Vermont maple syrup, which was a great touch. The coffee was good, and we appreciated that they offered almond milk as a dairy-free option. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would definitely return if we're in the area again--just with a slightly different ordering strategy next time!

Once seated, the ambiance was warm, cozy, and welcoming perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch spot. The space has a friendly neighborhood vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your meal. The service was excellent. My server, Sarah B., was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was just right without being overbearing. As a first-time guest, I really appreciated how smooth and welcoming the experience felt. For food, I ordered the Focaccia Melt - $11 with tomato, spinach, cheddar, and basil mayo. I added an egg (+$2) and avocado (+$3.75), and it was absolutely worth it. The focaccia was perfectly toasted, the ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavors was balanced and satisfying. The egg added richness, and the avocado was creamy and generous. On the side, I had the hashbrowns ($3.50), which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside exactly how hashbrowns should be. To drink, I ordered a hot chai tea latte with almond milk ($4.50). It was warm, flavorful, and not overly sweet great pairing with breakfast. Overall, The Pinwheel delivered great food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'll be back to try more of the menu. I recommend if you're in the Essex Junction area looking for a solid breakfast spot!
