I stumbled upon here in my quest for an ATM and while purchasing a lottery ticket I noticed all of the bottles of alcohol that had prices that I could barely believe. A bottle of Barcadi Mojito Mix for example was only $19.99 for a half gallon, one that goes for nearly $7-10 more in the city. Jolson's is probably the most popular one in the Ditmars area due to its location, but this quiet store owned by a nice older Greek man is a mini diamond in the rough. At some point, I will have to come back here and purchase my future bar's worth of alcohol. If there is any knock on the place is that its not so easy finding specialty brands or specific flavors as they seem to be bunched or scattered throughout the store. I tend to buy a lot of liquor in general and have noticed Jin Bros are usually just right price wise. They're not exceptionally cheap per se, but they're not exorbitantly expensive either. Another bonus? They take Android / Apple Pay here! Finally, what is a business without quality customer service? If I call ahead of time, I get someone professional, polite, and patient on the phone. We even had a little tasting of some. I was able to buy some mini moonshine for our Friendsgiving at $2.99 a bottle. They were so cute and come in so many flavors I might just add them as stocking stuffers for my friends. My best friend bought a nice bottle of wine. I was also able to purchase a wine tote since this was a spontaneous stop and I didn't leave home prepared to bring back wine! They offer a loyalty club whereby you can earn points and savings and also have free tastings on Fridays and Saturdays. I plan to make this one of my regular go to shops for alcohol purchases.
