Oddly, we were in town for only one night and it was Monday, and a lot of restaurants were closed. We went for a walk and stumbled across this restaurant, and said why not?! Dave was a fantastic server and the menu was really diverse; took me a while. Dave had some great recommendations, but we ended up with the carnitas quesadilla and the schnitzel. On both our visits it was very busy. They got us in and seated, quickly, both nights. Sven is a great waiter. Kept the glasses topped off and made multiple visits to the table. He took our order and got the food to us in a very timely manner, even with all the people jamming the bistro. He did this consistently, both days. Ask for Sven. Our group of six picked away at seven dishes. The Pasta Primavera, we all agreed was dull, but edible. We finished it off pretty quickly, however. The Beefsteak burger was juicy and a solid choice. Everyone loved the breaded shrimp tacos and the calamari. The entire table gave the salmon rice bowl a thumbs down (most of you know, I never give salmon a thumbs up, but, even disregarding my vote still makes it five against). We voted 4-2 to avoid the Chicken winglets. The food was decent at best. Biggest complaint was how bland everything tasted. With the possible exception of the brown gravy, which we felt was too salty. Great service. Popular atmosphere. Average food at a reasonable price per portion. I am visiting 100 Mile with my family and after a long day of driving we decided to get Red Rock Grill take out. Ordering went amazing, and the food was ready really quickly! When we got back to the hotel amd opened the boxes we were stunned at how amazing everything looked and smelled! Turns out its tasted better than it looked! I was ill and my friend went to town to get me some take out. I ordered Steak with prawns and scallops and asked for steak to be rare it. 1 Got 3 small Prawns 2 maybe the smallest scallops I have ever seen and could easily put them all in my mouth at one time and have room for 3 times more. 3 the steak was way over well done and dry and seamed poor cut I could not even eat it as it was so gross. Even the flavour was dull. I called today to complain and said I wanted my money returned and they agreed to do this and the same friend is in town today talking my senior neighbour for grocery and I instructed him to pick up the money. read more

Remind yourself that you are in 100 Mile, that you are not in a dining metropolis and that this is a 'gas up and go' Cariboo location. Once you have done that you have set your expectations to a level where you will find this place just dandy! Stopped here for a bite on the way back from Kamloops after rave reviews from friends. They said the burgers were great and they were right! Split the Whimpy with the wife and it was more than enough for us. Homemade patty, all the condiments were fresh and the specialty bun from Lac la Hache was perfect. Wait staff was attentive and the place was clean as expected. We didn't try anything else but if you are looking for something other than the usual roadside fare try a Whimpy at the Red Rock Grill......you wont be disappointed! read more

Absolutely disgusting! We left due to the filth, and server wiping her nose on her hand numerous times, then we saw her serve customers without even washing her hands. Seats were fithly. Menu was filthy. No idea on the food quality because we left. read more

Really Bad service, worn and dirty decor and pretty poor food at high prices. This place has gone downhill big time in the past year and the slide is accelerating. Avoid at all costs. There are far better choices in town. read more

I've been here a few times now when I was visiting 100 Mile House. Really delicious chicken tenders!! I also liked their chocolate martini. The last time I went I had limited time and they made sure I had my food quickly and I was out of there right on time. I appreciated their consideration. read more

Very friendly service unfortunately took forever to be seated as the young lady is working alone . But she was a good server and would recommend coming here. The food is in good portions for what you pay just keep in mind being from Alberta I forgot the extra taxes here lol but it is a wonder place. read more

My husband and I ate here last night, and the three stars are averaged out based on great food (4 stars), friendly staff (4 stars) and excruciatingly slow service (1 star). If you know 100 Mile House, you know the main road is technically a highway (#97), and as such any eatery can make a killing from tourists driving through and long haul truckers on the north/south. As a business you do need to step up the pace though. read more

For a bar and grill this place was excellent! I've passed this place many times in our travels, but I often stick with chain restaurants. So pleased we stopped tonight wonderful A+ friendly and efficient service, wholesome homemade meal. Had the wimpy burger and poutine lattice fries. That was one LARGE burger, actually had to use a fork and knife for the first bit but was able to eventually pick it up. Poutine was delicious. I think now that I've conquered this burger, I'll go back to a regular sized one. read more

Not bad. In a small town you don't have too many choices. Have been here a few times and each time was pretty poor the first time I went with my mom for a Mother's Day brunch and that was way less than satisfying. The Mamosa's were made with grapefruit juice and were gross. The entire buffet was cold and we actually complained about it and I got a stomachache after. One of the other times I went me and my husband both ordered the prime rib special and he is a chef. It was pretty disgusting and was cooked well done didn't even ask us how we wanted it and my husband said it tasted like it was cooked the day before and they only gave us 20% off. read more
