I was recognised as soon as I walked in and greeted with a smile and was told they would be with me in a minute (they were already serving, you see) so, acknowledgement (tick)! Then a gentleman came out beaming , happy to serve and suggested the fried rice, which I ordered he disappeared to a kitchen where you could hear the sizzling. I also ordered the spring rolls and was given an extra one (looove spring rolls so this was hug worthy had I still been in store when I realised). As I left the little shop I was thanked for my support of their business which was lovely. There menu isn't exactly extensive at this stage, they've been open 5 weeks and are looking to build on their existing menu which comprises of Banh Mi (yay! Local Bahn Mi), ramen noodles, cold rolls and sushi. There are a few other things as well but that makes up the main body of their menu at this stage. The food was enjoyable. I can't say that its the best I've ever eaten - but it's solid, decent food. I will be re-visiting :)

It's a great find at Mawson Lakes hub, quite busy down lunch hours as there aren't many seats available, and probably could 20 seats inside and 8 seats outside. I immediately remembered Lily T's review so we went in. I think we just discovered a new favorite Asian eat out. It's a small simple place but the taste of their food is spot on to my liking. Their menu has pictures of all their dishes so you can get an idea what it looks like and how delicious it appears. We bought 3 meals (special fried rice, bbq pork and egg with rice and beef brisket noodles). I even wanted to try their desserts but thought I'm just being eye-hungry so I stopped myself haha. I wont be too particular with the taste because all I can say is that they are ALL consistently delicious and we will DEFINITELY be coming back again especially to try their desserts. Most of their meals are in the 7.5 to 9.5 aud range but the servings are generous! I am so happy that this place is very close to our house. I highly recommend everyone to come and visit this place. I really think they're worth a shot!

There are a variety of hot pots on offer, ranging from beef ribs to seafood stews. They come with the table stove to keep the soup bubbling hot till the last drop. We unfortunately didn't order that but instead we had the dumpling soup with noodles and the handmade noodles with pork mince and 'black sauce'? They are not 'mince' but cube pieces and there are not many of them in a big bowl of noodles, I just like my protein with every mouthful of noodles - bit disappointed. The thick black sauce was rather non descriptive but acceptable. I couldn't evaluate the handmade noodles as special. The dumplings were good and very tasty, looking at other tables' orders, there are different types on offer, we will just have to come back to try them and the hot pot for sure before the end of winter. The cafe is not big, will accommodate about 25 customers or may be more. Staff are friendly but wish they could provide more information on the different dishes on the menu especially we were rather indecisive as to what to order. No freshly cut chillies but plenty of chilli sauce!

I had the sautéed beef, which turned out to be a semi-soup, but less broth than the actual soups. The meat was hot and very flavoursome, with lemongrass as a prominent flavor. It came with cold salad in the bowl, and quite a large bowl for $9, and the salad was dressed with an Asian flavored dressing. There was a large quantity of vermicelli at the bottom of the bowl. The meal had a good balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy. The fish sauce was used in the perfect quantity, as too much can be overpowering. There were various condiments and some lemon wedges that customers could add to their dishes. It was a filling meal without being at all heavy. Delicious! I will definitely be back.

The parking is at the corner of the jewerly store next to the restaurant. It is very sketchy and the parking is not paved at all and pretty aweful. You can park on street right in front of the restaurant aftet 4:30pm. The rrstaurant is pretty clean and the customer servicr is good as well. The food came out quick. My sister beef pho was great! The beef was generous portion for a small size and the broth was simple yet delicate. The noodles were wide and flat which I am not used to in pho. My dry vermicelli with meat balls, shrimp balls and spring rolls was almost excellent but the fish sauce wqs not enough for me and lacked bit of taste. None the less the topping were pretty yummy. If you are looking for a solid Vietnamese restaurant, this is definitely a right pick in nearby area.

Okay so shnit is about to get controversial…read more.. My bestie and I have decided to make our way through the Vietnamese restaurant wonderland which is Arndale's surrounding areas. I've been a longtime regular of my old faithful and have decided I need to open my eyes a little. Given Pho Ba Ria 2's ridiculously amazing reviews on the ol'Yelpy, Bestie and I decided it was definitely on the list. Hmm... and this is where it gets controversial. I'm just not sold. The food, the service, the setting... none adds up to 5 stars for me here... it's 3.5 at best. Whilst I loved the menu (bilingual with a huge selection... particularly of drinks!), I didn't leave thinking the food was anything amazing. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef & pork soup) (large $12.50), whilst B ordered a combination pho and we both ordered 3 Bean Drink, because that stuff is like lumpy, liquid-y heaven. Sadly the pho lacked depth of flavour, and even after drowning it in lemon juice and a dash of soy to help with seasoning it was lacklustre. The spicy soup was really hard to eat as the spices were too fine to push to the side, but not fine enough to swallow, which left my mouth and throat full of chomped up lemongrass stems... usually I will pretty much drink every last mouthful, but this soup was pushed aside once I'd finished the noodles and the non-gristly parts of meat. Finally, the 3 bean drink ($5) that we were so very excited about was really sweet compared to others I've tried, the ice was chunky which made it hard to mix. Still tasty mind you... just not 5 star worthy. Maybe we got them on a bad night. But given their prices are a little dearer than their competitors I doubt I'll be back to check.

It was the perfect weather for a steaming bowl of pho, it was blustery and chilly outside, but there is nothing like a bowl of soupy goodness to nurture the soul. The menu was quite varied with all sorts of entree, rice, noodles, mains and dessert dishes. I had already decided on what I wanted but would be keen to return again to try another dish. My friend ordered the spicy chicken and pork noodles and I had the combination pho. Be aware the portions here are HUGE! A small bowl is enough for the average dinner but the medium was more than enough! It was only $10 for a small but since it was only $1 extra to upgrade - I went the medium to see how much I could eat. The intoxicating scent in the restaurant was making me salivate so we ordered deep fried tofu to snack on while we waited. Service was fast and efficient, only moments after the tofu arrived, our mains was delivered before I could even take a bite of my tofu. Now I have a process before I dig into my pho, I scatter plenty of fresh Vietnamese basil, coriander and fresh chilli, a good handful of beansprouts, a squeeze of lemon and squeeze in a good dollop of hoisin sauce. I also have have an extra bit of hoisin sauce on the side to dip my beef in. And now the taste test, I take a sip of soup and almost wept tears of happiness when I inhaled my steaming hot bowl of combination. The broth past my taste test, a rich stock with perfect spices and seasoning to tickle my tastebuds, the meat was plentiful and thinly sliced, the portions were huge! Definitely coming back here again!
