The #redroofinnandsuitesalbany has lost a customer from any #redroofinn or any hotel affliated with them. #wrrhinvestmentslp #westmonthospitalitygroup The #georgiaboardofpublichealth should be involved as well as the city of #AlbanyGa.. this place is not fit for ANYONE... and they have the nerve to offer free breakfast #iwouldnever

Just got here about an hour and a half ago. We had to evacuate from our home bc of hurricane Matthew. First of all, I'm exhausted. Second of all, there no elevator and I'm on the second floor. Luckily the front desk man was courteous enough to help me bring everything up. I've used two tissues and the box is already empty so I called FD and asked for someone to bring me up another box. Nope, (a lady this time) said I have to come down and get it myself. Then I asked if they have a list of places that deliver....yep I have to go get that too. The last thing I want to do is keep going to the front desk for things after hours of stress and driving. Hopefully this turns around during my stay. The dresser also looks like someone spilled something down the side of it before I rented the room and housekeeping just didn't clean it up. Real nice. The carpet in the rooms are so dirty I had to make sure my son wore socks otherwise his feet would be disgusting after walking on the floor. Housekeeping was very polite but did a terrible job at making sure things were tidy. Didn't clean behind the bathroom door, it looks like everything was just swept behind it and forgotten about . Never stocked my toilet paper, cups, or coffee during my 3 night stay. Positives: printing and free wifi, breakfast is not that bad. Rooms are spacey (I got the 2 queen bed room)

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is located on Dawson Rd in Albany. The rooms are very spacious. My…read moreroom contained a large work desk. Pullout sofa if needed. King size comfy bed. Walk-In shower. Microwave and small fridge. I slept peacefully. Woke up ready to take on the day. I grabbed quick breakfast on my way out. They offered eggs, bacon & sausage. Toast, bagels or Muffins. Host of cereal and fruits. There's a pancake maker and oatmeal. So if you're visiting Hampton Inn in Albany, try out this location.

The hotel is pet friendly, as is the staff. Festive decorations in the lobby (someone was ready for Christmas before Thanksgiving) :-). Our room was clean; decent sized bathroom, though the hotel seemed to be a bit stingy on the bath linens (no hand towels were placed in the bathroom, no extra towels or extra bath/wash cloths). I am sure there would not have been a problem to ask, but it was no big deal, particularly due to our very short stay. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Typical "powdered" eggs, breakfast potatoes (which were a bit bland); the sausage looked pretty good, but I don't eat beef or pork, so not sure how it tasted. There was oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, bread for toast, and various types of pastries. The staff was super nice, even offering to take photos of my friend and I before we left the hotel for our gala. I would stay at this hotel again.

Would I recommend Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Albany? Yes!!!…read more This location has been here a a staple for downtown for over 40 years. It's just finishing up renovations to all the rooms. You see my room in the pictures. It's nice. The beds are luxurious. I slept like a baby in a swaddle. It's not as spacious, may be because I had 2 queen beds. But there's a lot of square footage. Mr. Frank was so helpful when I checked in. He made me take the chocolate chip cookies. He said he baked them just for me. Mr. Frank told me about Ray Charles Memorial located just across the street. Albany has so much rich history. There's a great soul food restaurant - The Grille- across the street as well. The next morning I wanted breakfast on the way out. It's continental breakfast. Eggs, bacon or sausage. Fresh sliced Fruit, apples and oranges. No bananas. There was a charge for the breakfast. I didn't have time to sit down and eat. So I had to keep it moving to my next stop. I will definitely choose this Hilton Garden Inn over all others.

Certainly not like the other $15 and $20 by other HGI properties. For breakfast, I only wanted the continental breakfast. Jeez!! They couldn't even supply milk for cereal. The baked goods looked like they were there from 2 weeks ago. Worst breakfast ever. And besides that, with my credit, it still cost me $2.00 on my bill. Really? How about charging $9.95 for parking. It's not like it was near the airport or a high density area. I'll never stay there again. My colleague and I were trying to meet in the lobby before leaving for dinner and were inundated by gnats or fruit flies. Very annoying. My room smelled like mold. The treadmill in the gym was broken. My only regret was not booking the Hampton Inn instead.

Dirty Room, Roaches, & No Manager Accountability…read more I stayed at Country Inn & Suites Albany from July 11-13, 2025, and it was hands-down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Upon arrival, I found: Roaches crawling across the desk and bathroom floor A cracked, unsecured window that made me feel unsafe Rust spots on fixtures and unknown stains on the bedding A strong foul odor throughout the room No clean towels available, even after multiple requests Unsecured access to pool with paper warning on the door, stating that the pool was closed Dangerous fitness facility I reported all these issues before checkout to "Morgan," who claimed to be the nighttime manager--but she lied and offered zero solutions. The next morning, the day-shift clerk said no manager was on duty. I then called Choice corporate and was directed back to this property, only to be told by Jordan (front-desk manager) that the General Manager, Jennifer, would review my case and call me--yet I still haven't heard back. For $279.25 paid via Cash App, I expect a clean, safe room and professional management. Instead, I got filth, health hazards, and run-around excuses. I will be filing complaints with the Georgia Department of Public Health, BBB, and disputing the charge with Cash App unless I receive a full refund immediately. Tip: Save yourself the trouble--book elsewhere.

The sheets looked like they'd been through a crime scene, the bathroom vanity was hanging on for dear life, and the floor felt like one wrong step would land me in the lobby below. The tub had a massive crack, and just when I thought it couldn't get worse, I found throw up in the shower. That's not "bad housekeeping" that's a health hazard. This place isn't a hotel, it's a horror movie set. Sleep in your car, pitch a tent, or book literally anywhere else. At least you won't have to share your room with roaches and someone else's stomach contents. Yelp isn't letting me post the vomit photo.

I have…read morepassed this hotel many times as it is in a cul de sac with other Marriott hotels near Zaxbys. I chose this one actually because of the decor. I know that sounds cheesy but first impressions for me are the outside and the lobby of the hotel. This hotel is ultra modern in my opinion. The lobby has a nice mix of sofas, chairs and tables and chairs. Along with cafe tables and stools. They have a Bistro and a little store in the lobby. Loved it. There is another side where there is a large screen tv, fireplace and more sofas. All modern. The desk attendant checked me in with no issues very quickly. I was given my key cards and went to my room. Upon entering the room there was a smell. I don't know why hotels have that smell but you already know what I mean. I immediately turned on the heat because it as chilly and the smell went away. I don't think its necessarily the room itself but the air conditioning system. Their was a desk, tv, a sofa chaise, coffee table, refrigerator in the room. This room had an actual closet with another comforter, iron, ironing board and luggage rack inside with mirrors. The bathroom was nice and big and everything seemed brand new including the flooring. The bed was heaven. I wish I could have stayed longer. I took one star off for the smell of the room but would definitely book a room here again as long as it is less than the $130 I paid for one night. It was a tad expensive for Albany GA.

As a Bonvoy member, I expected at least basic courtesy, but they denied my late checkout without explanation. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. One star.
