    Nasty dirty bathtub!
    Doug Y.

Nasty! First room had a loud buzzing fridge, and beds that looked like they had clothes bunched up under the covers. They moved me to a room that had a filthy unwashed shower, broken door locks, and dirt everywhere. If it wasn't so late, i would have split and gone elsewhere. Spend a few bucks more and go elsewhere. You are worth it!

This was the look of the room I selected. It was one of the big rooms that had a sofa bed and two full/queen side beds. I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend and her daughter and was absolutely disgusted by the filth in the room. Complained to the guest services who said they couldn't do nothing about it. Asked to speak with the manager who said the same, was very rude turning her back on us while we were still talking and just went back into her room I ended up calling their corporate office to report the situation. They said they'd get back to me in 48 hours regarding it. Which they didn't. Overall this has been the worst place I've ever stayed at. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!! P.S. this was room 421 - I hope you don't get this room because this is what you're going to walk into.

DO NOT BOOK. STAY AWAY!! THEY HAVE ROACHES AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I booked this hotel on Expedia for July 17 and it has been the worst experience I have ever had. I booked the red roof in on a Saturday. I checked in and went to my room and when I turned on the lights in the bathroom there was a roach. I immediately called the front desk who was very rude. I should've known since when I arrived two ladies at the front desk were talking bad about a client. She told me my only options were to get another room, which she only had a double room available or to get a refund. She proceeded to tell me those were my only two options. I asked for a manager and she told me she was the manager. To which i responded that it was unfortunate that she treated her guests like that and then hung up and went to the front desk for the refund. She took my card keys and told me i had to call expedia for a refund. I stayed there and called expedia And the automated system said that refunds need to be processed by the hotel To which the lady at the front desk told me that she already processed the refund on her end and I needed to call expedia to release the funds I called expedia again and i was told by the system that the wait time was 45 mins for a representative so I left the hotel. When I finally spoke to someone at Expedia and they reached the hotel, they were advised that a manager was not onsite at the moment and I had to call back on monday to get this resolved. Apparently the lady I spoke to was not the manager. I finally got in contact with the manager of the Red roof in which was only available by email and appointment. I guess he is too busy with complaints to show face. Jason, the manager said the refund was processed when I spoke to him on July20th. It's been over a month and nothing has been done. Expedia is claiming they aren't able to reach the hotel and the hotel is claiming they processed the refund. Idk who is lying but they both are gaining from this and it's horrible they would do that to their clients.

This is the worst experience we've had in a hotel. When we first checked in, we went to the first room they gave us‍. We had no choice to explain that the room was dirty with urin odor. Sheets had stains as well. They gave us another room which was worse. The next morning we told the front desk we need to leave. The woman in the front gave us attitude, told us we had to wait and speak to the manager when he gets in at 2:00 pm. We also gave our phone number so he can call us. 3:00 pm rolls around and no call, so we called the front desk and asked the same woman if we can speak to the manger? She got very nasty and told us nothing can be done. The manager will not be returning until MONDAY! I feel because we are white she was very racist and unprofessional to this situation. I then contacted the main number when we got home that Wednesday and explained everything. Well we get an apology e-mail and they can't do nothing for us. SHAME ON THIS LOCATION! Unprofessional all the way through. Beware, we didn't know at the time, but this hotel puts welfare people there. It's a good thing for these individuals, but unfortunately not a good thing for people that are visiting and trying to stay in a hotel that is not racist towards white people. This hotel is very unsanitary, dirty and does not take care of their rooms. This is a fair warning for anyone that is thinking of staying at the red roof Inn at Garden City New York. GO ELSEWHERE, do your homework to see if the hotel your thinking of is part of the welfare system.

dirty filthy in the rooms. Elevator is disgusting smell in the whole hotel including the rooms are terrible. Looks like homeless hang out in the front lobby. Maybe it's also a shelter here . would not stay here. for free.

The fire alarm goes off at night. And from these reviews, it been happening.

Room was tastefully decorated, very clean, and comfortable. The two aspects that were annoying were: 1) no ice on our floor. We always had to go one floor below to get ice; and 2) the TV was not user-friendly. There was no visual "guide," so we never knew what was airing at any time. Plus there were no premium stations and even very little regular cable stations. It felt like we were in some remote area where they couldn't get any station coverage. Otherwise, it was fine. I would probably stay here again unless we could find a better room rate elsewhere.

Hotel suite on PH level had a jacuzzi, terrace, living room space, and bedroom with extremely soft linens. Cost was $350 a night which is what we'd pay for an ordinary room nearby. Easy parking, great coffee, very friendly staff and when we needed to extend checkout a few hours the cost was shockingly low, they were very accommodating. Didn't try room service but no problems ordering Uber Eats to the hotel. They also have an option of placing chocolate covered strawberries, rose petals and champagne in the room for $75. Regardless of occasion, choice this option! Primo will definitely stay here again if life brings us back to the neighborhood.

While I…read morepraise the historic charm, expansive gardens, and opulent Gilded Age aesthetic, I noted the aging room interiors, inconsistent restaurant service, and occasional amenity limitations compared to modern luxury hotels. I as a guest Guests noted the "Great Gatsby" vibe and the magical feeling of staying in the second-largest private home in America. The historic guided tours of the estate are highly recommended. The formal European-style gardens and sweeping outdoor terraces are what I considered the highlight of the property. Located on Long Island's Gold Coast, it is an incredibly convenient and picturesque escape for New York City locals. I feel that that the historic rooms lean slightly toward being dark or dated, lacking the ultra-modern luxury touches expected at this price point. While the OHK Bar & Restaurant receives praise for its upscale European ambiance, reviews note that the food quality and service speed can occasionally fall short, especially for basic breakfast or brunch orders. Unlike standard luxury resorts, the estate has a limited number of staterooms and can feel relatively quiet or lacking in on-site activities once the outdoor spaces have been explored. Still, it is quite an experience visiting this opulent gilded age castle.

The grounds here are lovely and there was no wedding or private event so we got to explore the grounds and rooms which was super cool. The dining area is smaller than expected but that's fine with me - makes it more intimate. The menu is a little limited but I was able to find the pacchieri alà vodka with fresh pasta and I really enjoyed it! I got a mocktail as well, which was also refreshing. For an app we shared the truffle fries because although this is fine dining -fries always hit the spot amirite?! I loved the sorbet dessert, hubs didn't love his as much - an apple pie turnover of sorts. Service was attentive and friendly. I'd return for drinks and an app but it is pretty pricey to come for dinner if it's not a special occasion.

So I go on Google to leave my review for the Hollywood Motel in Farmingdale, and the FIRST thing that pops up is this news article saying TWO MEN WERE FOUND UNALIVE IN THE JACUZZI. HUH?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! That's the SAME room we stayed in! We were literally sitting in that nasty old crusty jacuzzi like it was nothing. It wasn't even remodeled or replaced. So you're telling me two people died in that tub, they bodies were found soaking in there, and y'all just cleaned it up and rented the room back out like nothing ever happened? Ain't no way. I don't even care if they bleached that thing a thousand times. The thought alone got me sick to my stomach. I'm sitting here replaying it in my head and getting goosebumps. I would've NEVER gotten in that jacuzzi if I knew what happened in that room. Isn't there some kind of law where you gotta tell people somebody died in the room? Or at least remodel the place or rip that old jacuzzi out! Instead it's the same busted, ancient tub looking like it's been there since the '80s. I'm dead serious... I don't think I'm sleeping for a month after finding this out. This whole place creeped me out before I knew the story, and now it all makes sense. Never again. One of the most disturbing motel experiences l've ever had. One star is being generous.

We were there for a wedding and had gotten to the hotel around 8am to the brides room. The rest of the bridal party went downstairs to check in, because the link sent to our email to check in early was not working for us (it worked for others just not us for some reason). Check in was at 3 but as we had all gotten emails to check in early and couldn't, we went downstairs to check in. We understood that our room would not be ready until 3 but just wanted to pre check in as I've done MANY times before at other hotels. When we went down to the front desk to request this, the young woman working the desk was EXTREMELY rude WITH an attitude telling us that we aren't able to check in because they didn't have rooms yet. I explained that we dont need a room yet but that we got emails to check in early and it didn't work for us and we weren't going to be back until 1am. She responded again rudely telling us we can't check in with an annoyed facial expression. On top of that, we had mini gift bags that all the guests were to receive when they got to the hotel as the hotel had room blocks for the wedding. They were given to the front desk with the request to put them in the rooms for those there for the wedding. We were told this was no problem, as guests were arriving they had the bags behind the desk and started handing out multiples to each person even though the instructions were one per room and to be in the rooms. One of the guests went up to the front desk explaining to the women that they were supposed to be in the rooms already and one per room (again as we were told they can do this earlier in the day). She rudely, with an attitude, told her that "they don't do that" and they'll hand them out when guests are checking in "if they remember". Overall, the main issue was the lack of professionalism from the front desk women who were extremely nasty and miserable.
