I've been a loyal Red Star customer since they first opened their first shop in Mesa way back in the day. This location on 7th St and Osborn is close to home, so naturally its my go-to Red Star. The girls that work here are gems. Funny, kind, polite, etc. I'd give this place a solid 5 stars if it werent for the tall, skinny black dude that works there. It has NOTHING to do with race, I just dont know his name so I have to refer to physical characteristics. 9 times out of 10 he's got an attitude. You know... no "hello", no "thanks", no smile, no personality whatsoever. You're a burden to him. He is so bad at customer service that when I pull up and see his car outside, I leave. Been a repeat customer for a couple of years. They changed the dispo bar to the "surge" dispo bar. 6 out of the last 10 I have bought have stopped charging with juice between 35 to 75% juice left. I go there once a month and service is always up to par. This location specifically I don't think they really care about their customers. I've been there more than 10 times and have never been asked for an ID even though it's required by law and the one time I don't bring my wallet the guy in there couldn't help me or my friend (even though she had her ID) just because I forgot my ID.They know me because I always go and I have an account but the guy just wanted to recite the law to me. If your gonna ask for an ID ask every time so I know your going to require it. read more

I never write reviews, good or bad, because honestly, who had the time. But wow, this is bad news. I bought on recommendation of salesperson a new vape kit 13 days ago (30 day return window). Brought it back today, granted to a different location that was open at the time, to get it exchanged out due to the pod clearly leaking constantly, obviously to an abnormal degree. I've been vaping a couple years now, not a noobie, and not unreasonable either. Not only did they not take it, telling me it was normal and not a defect, that "all vapes leak like that" (they don't), they had the nerve to offer me to buy a NEW one (why if you insist mine is perfect and they all leak like that?! ) with a generous 10% discount! Ridiculous. Will NEVER give them a penny again. Despite the fancy logo and name, these guys are thieves, peddling crap, who won't honor their promises. read more

I purchased two vape pens and a cartridge. I paid with a debit card. I was asked if I wanted a receipt which I did say no. Three days later, I noticed that one of the pens wasn't working. I went back to the store and was asked for a receipt. I told them what had happened and that I didn't get a receipt. They went back and looked for my transaction, found the receipt and printed a copy for me. They didn't want to return my item because I didn't have the package, just the pen. After reading the receipt, it does state that every return has to be returned with original packaging. If I'm a first time customer, I didn't know their rules, if a printed receipt is needed for every return, the fine print is printed on the receipt, Why do they have to ask their customers if they want a receipt? Why give the customer that option? They should give every customer a receipt or at least advise the customer that a receipt and original packaging is needed for returns. read more

This place is super close to home, so I decided to check it out. I really want to quit smoking, so I bought a new vape (my 4th one / 1st from this shop) from them because mine broke. It turned out to be a vape I didn't love... It leaked, popped & the juice would squirt into my mouth. I went back today & the guy that was working tried to find glass to fix my leaky unit but didn't have anything on hand. So, he let me trade in the one I previously purchased for full value! I left with a vape that I love!! Works amazing! No weird leaking, popping or squirting in my mouth! I paid an extra $20 because the vape I wanted costs more than the one I was returning. In addition, he showed me how to load the battery, change the coil and add new juice. The guy working the counter was SO NICE! I didn't feel awkward, especially considering all of my complaints. He just took care of me! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a new vape, or even just a yummy new juice!! Prices and selection on juices were *fantastic*. HOWEVER. Customer service was trash. The man acted like he was severely irritated by our existence. Literally visually annoyed. Everyone has bad days, but I had no idea what they had. He seemed to be rushing to ask what I wanted instead of allowing time to view options. I said fruity dessert ish. 2 brands and flavors for each was what was offered. Out of what We noticed was an entire wall. Will not be back to this specific location. Hopefully the other is better. I have written a review on the other Red Star Vapor location (on Baseline) that was quite the opposite of my experience at this location. I walked in and was immediately greeted, I explained what I liked and was offered a few options (all of which were good). The staff did not try to oversell (which is common in this industry), they just addressed what I was looking for. Both staff members were nice and helpful and seemed knowledgeable. Update: red star has lost all the stars and I will not be back to this location. Let me explain why. I spend $1000's at red star, mainly at the 7th st location. Out of 5 transactions, 4 have been where I got jipped out of something. I always chocked it up to new employees. But this time it was JORDAN that jipped me... and he claims to be the manager. Every other employee has always made right whatever was wrong. They have always been friendly and laughing when we go in there. JORDAN tho...he isn't nice. He is an arrogant little man. These words are being used for description purposes and not as an insult. When I told him he shorted me on my juice last time he told me I am welcome to go back to blue dragon. I've never been to any other vape store besides red star and one in Yuma. In case Jordan is reading this, let me enlighten you on maximizing profit in a small business... you treat people RIGHT and it won't matter what your prices are. Wow! My wife and I have spent a ton of money in this store and tonight she was totally disrespected when she went in there. They shorted us a bottle of concentrate last time and she mentioned it tonight. The guy (Jordan) straight up said, "You can go back to Blue Dragon Vapor!" Excuse me?!?! WTF?!?!
