Truly the worse experience of a lifetime. Owner promised a great job and 2 weeks to restore damaged…read morefloor. 6 months later, the floor looks worse than the original with severe tile lippage. The company owner threatened to walk off the job at least 5 times because I repeatedly asked them to do proper work, they told me they had 90 other jobs running during my job. They would come and work for 2 hours and then leave for another job. They accused my wife of breaking the granite counter tops. Project manager came and yelled at me to move my car out of my driveway because it was in his way. Honestly, I only take the time to write this review so you want fall into the same experience I had. We have had several contractors in our homes over the years and Restoration 101 was by far the worse. Inexperienced foreign workers that left my house a disaster, having to pay another tile person to come in and fix their shoddy work.

Each crew knew exactly what to do AND very respectful, letting us know each step that was coming up. I give RESTORATION 101 5 stars and 2 thumbs up! The work crews respect you, the owner respects you, the crews really respect Ron, and Ron respects them. If you do not hire Restoration 101 to restore your house from damaged back to a home again, you have just made the largest mistake! Ron and his employees are honest, top notched, totally knowledged in this field. To call someone else would be a huge mistake on you!!

I understand this is a long review but if you are considering using this gentleman or Mountain…read moreTough Maintenance it's probably wise you read this or at the very least look at the pictures: I absolutely, positively do NOT in a million years recommend George Hawkins/Mountain Tough Maintenance for your bathroom renovation project! George and I were friends (up until this incident happened) and I had seen the 'amazing' work that he had does in the past with others' home projects. In fact, this is why I chose him initially-boy was that a mistake!!! I asked George to remove a shower/tub combo in my master bathroom and replace it with a stand up shower-should have been easy enough for a man who does this sort of work all the time, right? WRONG! He threw the entire project together within a day...or 2 at the very most (that should have been the first red flag). The other red flag should have been when he told me he was "booked out until March" but could 'squeeze' me in in January (big regret). 'Squeeze me in' obviously means, I'll throw your project together in a matter of hours and not spend the quality time I need to on it. So following the completion, I took my first shower and knew something was horribly wrong when I went out into my garage (which is located directly under my bathroom shower) and saw water dripping from my ceiling (see pictures for proof). Of course, I called and texted George in a panic asking him to please come over immediately to fix the problem. My luck, he was out of town and said he would come by as soon as he got back. When I asked what the issue was following inspection, he replied with "the way the drain was made. I had to use a different type of pipe and did not realize it" (see below for text). He was apologetic and told me he needed to cut a hole in the garage ceiling to allow the inside to dry (see picture) and that he would be back in a few days to replace said hole. HAHAHAHA that was on December 19th (see picture) and he has yet to show back up to fix the hole, paint over the water damage on the ceiling and along one of the walls. Text messages ceased completely on January 9, 2024. In addition, (although this is the least of my problems) the water damage threw the breaker for my garage door opener and stopped working. The garage door repair man says that is some of the worst water damage he's ever seen in a garage! So another $50 later, it was fixed thankfully! Well if that wasn't bad enough, as I start looking more closely at my shower, I notice that it is very poorly (even that's a stretch) put together. As you can see in pictures, there is so much caulk missing where walls come together at the bottom (see pictures). So now, not only do I have water damage due to a misplaced pipe, now every time I take a shower water is going to get in between those walls and cause MOLD (until it is fixed)! Also, did I mention the sloppy painting and nail holes-embarrassing (see below)! This man may have done good work with other people projects (I've seen the beautiful pictures from others) but unfortunately I can't even come close to saying the same! Please, please, please be cautious if using him! I understand he has done a lot of good work in the area but just imagine if he completed your project like he did mine. It only takes one! I would hate for someone else to go through what I have. Please see pictures of everything!
