He returned with a detailed description of what needed to be done to correct the issue and the materials he would use. We did our due diligence and received a 2nd opinion/quote through another company, A rep was sent out and someone else at the office who didn't understand the complexity of the basement gave us a quote. They insisted on trenching and depressurizing the small slab first. If that didn't work they would cover the dirt and then the bouders with a 2nd fan installed. We chose Merritt, our concrete floor is intake. The boulders and crawl space are covered in a 20 mil white plastic, buttoned down and sealed neatly around all exposed areas with one fan in place. They communicated well and let us know when another (outdoor) job had run a few days behind and we were able to schedule a good date for us both. I work at home and they respected the need to keep noise down - they were so quiet! The preparation to protect the area where they worked was thorough and the paint job was excellent. The clean up was superb - except for well-painted walls, you wouldn't have known we had anyone there that day! They had let me know if I wanted them to work a longer day that they could have it done in one day and they delivered! This is a company that you want to have when things go awry with your home. They always put the homeowners first, which is what I liked most about them. Their advice and work was always for the betterment of our house and never for their wallets. They're a family oriented company and understand what it's like to have to live through construction with 3 kids. They worked around our schedule and they made it bearable, if not better. The people that work for them are each experts in their respective fields. We had multiple projects that we worked with them on: cabinetry, wood flooring, mold remediation, outdoor siding, painting. It is quite challenging to find a company that will listen to what you need and do what they say they are going to do. Every person from the office to the men working at my house was very pleasant and respectful. They did not mind it was just a half bath remodel - many companies would not even consider my job. The half bath was done to my liking so I hired them to do some work in my kitchen, powder bath, and my sitting room. I did not have to pick out my faucets or any of the paint. They did mold remediation, removed the insulation and replaced it, crawlspace encapsulation and installed a dehumidifier. I found this out when she accidentally sent me a screenshot of our conversation from her phone. I texted back asking for an explanation. She called me and, instead of apologizing, she doubled down, telling me I was the "most difficult customer" she's "ever had". The next day, she sent a novel-length text to me and my husband about why she thinks we are terrible customers. In summary, she was apparently angry because: 1. My husband and I asked the crew to wear masks when passing through the living room, where we were working remotely. We were fine with the crew not wearing masks while they worked. 2. There was a scheduling hiccup. I told Bobbie Jo in advance that I would only be home before noon one day, and she said that was fine. Then that day, the crew did not arrive before I had to leave. I called to reschedule and she asked me to leave my door unlocked for the crew while I was out. I said no, because I'm not comfortable leaving my unattended home unlocked in the middle of the day. Bobbie Jo seemed to think this meant we didn't trust her crew, but that was never the issue. Four days after she sent the screenshot, she texted a weak offer to "make things right" by offering us a gift card (of unspecified amount) to a steakhouse. Still no apology. She never said sorry or admitted wrongdoing. We declined the gift card. For the sake of completeness, we want to add that there was a minor issue related to the service. We asked if they could add shoe molding in one room and the crew said yes. After adding that to our invoice, Bobbie Jo then rescinded the offer because, she said, "I am completely out of trim." She didn't offer to let us know when she would resupply. She did take that charge back off our invoice. So if you want to be called a b*tch for making a reasonable request and having a small scheduling issue, go ahead, hire Denton's.

I often leave 5 star reviews when someone does a great job, and rarely, if ever, leave a negative review. However, I'm still trying to clean excess grout sealer off the tile on our bathroom walls a year after they resealed our grout in March of 2023. The color does look better, but many of the grout lines bleed over onto the tile, resulting in a very sloppy-looking job. The worst part was, I had told Connie that I'd had the bathtub reglazed and needed to have the guy come back to fix a couple of small spots he missed. She told me to have him do that first because she didn't want him messing up her grout work, so I did. When Connie and her granddaughter came to seal the grout, her granddaughter so badly scarred and scratched the tub in multiple places, I've just had to pay $750 to have it completely redone. For the $650 I paid to Connie I feel our tile should have looked fabulous and the tub reglaze should have remained intact. She and her granddaughter only spent half a day on the job as they seemed to be in a hurry to get somewhere. Our bathroom is small, but apparently it should have taken quite a bit longer than that.
