Sometimes the floor started to shake, but I assume this is from the coffee machine. It is super aesthetically pleasing and minimal. I was amazing at the fact that the bathroom was designed with extreme accessibility and environmental consciousness. It is cozy and the perfect spot to do some work in or catch up with a friend (still intimate). Now , I got a cappuccino and cinnamon bun (recommended by the barista over the almond croissant) and I LOVED the cappuccino! It was so smooth and the espresso had a depth to it -- almost sweet. It was also not too milky and was presented beautifully. The cinnamon bun packs in a ton of flavor and even tastes better than it looks. A friend and I sat in the cafe for almost 4 hours working on projects -- the wifi is fast, there are lots of outlets and the playlist is on point. Thoroughly enjoyed this cafe and cannot wait to go back and try some more sweets or even their sandwiches (the vegan one looked amazing!)

It's made up of two little rooms, and while the quarters are a bit cramped there's plenty of room to get the job done. Highlights typical to the UK include a little button in the wall to flush the toilet, a separate bin for toilet products, and an sleek array of mirrors. A nice blueberry blue paint pulls the simple setup together. My only complaint is that there is not a door hook for a bag - but of course that's never a requirement for a restroom, only a plus. As a side note to my visit, they pulled me a well balanced shot of espresso and then made me an excellent latte as well - actually it was about 8oz or the size I've come to see as a cappuccino in the States. The solution in Glasgow is to forget boring run-of-the-mill 'full' anythings for breakfast or brunch and go to Papercup instead. I don't even drink coffee, which they are known for. I need to try a hot chocolate here one of these days. My friend ordered an oat milk one on this visit and said it tasted like a dessert in itself. Vegan, veggie, or gluten-free? No problem. Papercup has you covered. I've come here on multiple occasions and requested gluten-free bread without anyone batting an eye. Most American restaurants seem to want to make you feel like a criminal to even ask. My egg omelette on this visit had so many yummy toppings and was so big, bread wasn't even needed. It's a wonder these wizards can make such creations in such a small space! We happened to nab the corner table directly across from the cake case and I watched as our food was made with so much love. A drizzle of sauce, a squeeze of lime...this is the kind of place you want to get behind because they treat you like part of the family. Caveat: this place is small and you'll want to go at downtimes if you can (avoid breakfast/brunch on the weekends, for example) or else you'll be stuck outside waiting for a table to free up. You'll see locals popping in for their usual coffee orders and a muffin, then pop back out. For such a small shop, they have an oddly large unisex bathroom in the back. Although they are a bit…read moreoutmoded by phone apps, wifi and dinky little laptops, some of us do not own such portables and thus find we are often cut short. Being the email fiend that I am, I find this place particularly resourceful if I'm wanting a wee sit down and a Hotmail session for half an hour. It's pretty inexpensive and a wee cheeky cup of tea doesn't break the bank. I am yet to try their smoothies but might give em a go now that Lynsey has talked 'em up. Sometimes caffeine is not in fact the answer, and their choice is useful if you need to rehydrate yourself with something colder. As Lynsey has also outlined this place is small, but if you stop by and avoid the peak times it's usually easy enough to get a PC. This place has been great for me on the countless recent visits to Edinburgh. As much as I love sitting in here and checking what my travelling friends are up to whilst sipping on a brew, it's just as handy for backpackers who are flying by to touch internet base before jetting off to another city. It's a shame that internet cafes have become endangered since they are still necessary, but it's a comfort Coffee Home Internet is still representing!
