This was a meaningful, one-time event with personal memories as well as moments I intended to capture for my business. I remained extremely understanding and willing to work with her. When it came to receiving the photographs afterward, I made it clear that I was not trying to rush her and that I was willing to be patient with the editing and delivery process. I genuinely tried to give her the time and flexibility she needed. What I did not expect was for that patience to turn into months of waiting, repeated unanswered messages, and ultimately a dispute over photographs that I believed were still missing. As the screenshots attached to this review show, I repeatedly reached out attempting to resolve the situation directly and professionally. There were extended periods when my messages went unanswered. When I continued asking about the missing photographs, I was eventually told that the photos had already been included in the gallery. That did not match what I had actually received or what I had been seeing in the gallery while waiting. This was especially frustrating because I gave her multiple opportunities to simply communicate with me and resolve the issue. I was not demanding an unreasonable turnaround time, nor was I expecting perfection. I wanted the photographs and services I believed I had paid for and straightforward communication about what was happening. After months of trying to resolve this directly, I ultimately requested a refund because I no longer felt the situation was being handled appropriately. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach a resolution. I am attaching screenshots of our actual communication so prospective clients can see the timeline and interaction for themselves rather than simply taking my word for it. As a small-business owner myself, I completely understand that delays, mistakes, and unexpected circumstances happen. What matters is how a business communicates with its customers and responds when there is a problem. I was more than willing to be patient and work with her, and I gave her considerable time and multiple opportunities to make this right. Between the months-long process, the lack of consistent communication, and the way my concerns regarding the missing photographs were ultimately handled, I would not use Lane Focus LLC again or recommend her services. My wedding videographer completely fell short of professionalism, communication, and delivering on her contract. Her contract stated that videos would be delivered within 60 days, yet it took over 110 days to receive anything close to what was promised. She missed her own deadlines at least seven times, each time with a new excuse. Communication was poor throughout the process, and it became clear she was not being truthful about her progress or intentions. The wedding highlight video she eventually sent was late and had issues. The sound was off, and it contained random footage of a desert--not even from our wedding day. On top of that, despite advertising drone footage, she didn't use a drone at our wedding. Three months later, she showed up at our venue (without notifying us) to get drone footage, which obviously wasn't from our wedding day, and she added that into the highlight video after fixing the sound. While the highlight video turned out cute in the end, it wasn't authentic to our wedding day, which is incredibly disappointing. We also NEVER received our fully edited videos as promised. After months of excuses, being blocked, ignoring our demand letter, and given so many chances to solve this matter amicably, I am now having to take Carly to small claims court. I consider myself a very patient and understanding person, but this experience was beyond unprofessional. It was heartbreaking to trust someone with such an important day and be let down so completely. While I can give credit for the highlight video being nice in the end (besides not having the drone footage from our wedding), it doesn't excuse the lack of integrity and communication, missed deadlines, breach of contract, and missing our footage we paid for.
