Dr Helwig has a very caring, friendly manner and is honest-all qualities I look for in a health practitioner. When you ask about certain symptoms you are suffering from he's very clear in explaining what's happening in your body and is very effective in his treatment. He's also really good at setting expectations and educating patients that your health care is very much your responsibility too. The reason I chose this particular clinic was to use the Biodex machine to increase my range of motion. It did not disappoint even tho I had to live outside of my home community for 2 months. I was told it is the only machine in Canada situated in a physio clinic. The Capilano staff from the front desk right through to other therapists and assistants are warm and welcoming. Arjun, my physio therapist was skilled and engaging while always focused on my recovery and increased range of motion. I highly recommend him. His assistant Ava was so kind and personable. As well as physio I utilized other gym equipment in addition to the Biodex. This included a treadmill developed by NASA that can reduce your weight for walking. Allie, the kinesiologist is helpful and engaging. When I have a second knee replacement in about 12 months, it will also be a complicated procedure.
