First, I believe Dr. Weiss does excellent work. Everyone I talk to highly recommends him as a top orthopedist. My experience is more around the way they approached my issue and the billing for it. The problem I had, Dr. Weiss explained clearly why it would be a difficult repair and what he needed to do. What he didn't tell me, until the work was done, is that it has a 50/50 chance of failing. I spent a great deal of time, money, and pain to get half the result that I expected. I regret that I didn't seek a second opinion. The surgery went well. It was a first for me, and they gave me no information on how to care for the work they did and I wound up having a couple of bad infections that I could have easily avoided with some basic info on the process. Without those infections, I would have been able to do a lot more therapy during the process. They billed me nearly $1000 for a procedure that really wasn't a procedure and added no time to the office visit. It took less than 5 seconds, involved no prep and nothing more than a pair of pliers. I compare it to a dental visit: would they scrape off a bit of hard plaque from a tooh and charge for a crown? I brought this up to their billing department several times and I've just been ignored. In summary: Ask a *lot* of questions. Don't expect to get information that you don't ask for. Seek a second opinion. If you have a high deductible/HSA, expect to get high charges for things that really should have been part of the appointment. read more

I have had two failed thumb.surgeries done by Dr. Weiss. I can no longer button my shirt, put my earrings on, hold a fork properly and write. I can't pick up a mahjong tile. Dr Weiss spent less than 3 minutes reviewing my two year old case involvong multiple diagnoses. when I asked him about a hard module inside my right (dominant) hand and it was a post-outpatient procedure for trigger finger, where my ring finger was noticeably bent inward, he said the module was probably just a cyst and the ring finger didn't take to the procedure so he would correct it in a traditional procedure when also doing my carpal tunnel surgery. my pinky finger started turning inward painfully too, restricting my hand movement substantially. he MISDIAGNOSED my symptoms grossly. it turned out the module I was worried about along with my ring & pinky finger curling is Dupuytrens Contracture which gets progressiv worse and more debilitating. If corrected IN TIME, it can prevent further damage. But he missed it and spends VERY little time examining you or your chart. This is life quality impacting to my ADL's and now I'm seeing a different ortho surgeon. read more

My wife survived a massive stroke and we came here seeking help for her shoulder atrophy and ensuing pain. We discovered on arriving that they don't accept our particular blue shield insurance. Then we experienced a rather pompous and impersonal doctor who lacked the basic empathy you'd expect from a professional who owns and runs the practice. No doubt he is a good surgeon, however we don't plan to find out. The doctor was unsympathetic and painted a dark gloomy picture, offering no optimism and zero comfort. He was also annoyingly cool, like he'd much rather be somewhere else. Of course what makes a good surgeon is not fluff it's quality of surgery, but this stuff does matter when the patient is recovering from a near fatal injury and is holding on to hope of a decent quality of life. AS A SURGEON - THE ABSOLUTE BEST. That is what I needed, what I was looking for AND what I got with Dr Weiss. I had two severed tendons and a complex rotator cuff injury that I had waited a bit too long in addressing. After 1 year (post surgery), I now have 100% strength and 99% mobility back. His office was recommended to me by a close friend with a highly complex foot injury! If you are looking for skillful and direct medical analysis, and possibly the very best surgical option, this is a GREAT choice. You will need to follow through with Dr Weiss' physical therapy recommendations... and that requires patience, some hard work and perseverance. Part of the recovery will be up to you! From an interpersonal standpoint, I found the office, including Dr Weiss to be highly professional, welcoming, personable and direct in dealing with me and my medical options. This is a business, just like any other doctors office, but I always felt valued and well cared for. I am shocked by the few negative reviews. On the other hand, no outcome is ever guaranteed and I do prefer direct and technical medical advice. And, as I mentioned, am willing to do my part in the recovery process. My suggestion... start with the best trained and experienced doctor/surgeon for your particular injury. For me... that is Dr Weiss (and his staff). Good luck!! read more

I have been back a couple of times over the years and was always pretty happy. When I had shoulder pain in May I tried to make an appointment. I was told to wait a few weeks to see if it resolved on its own. It got worse. Called back in June and I couldn't get an appointment until November. I tried to wait and made things so much worse. Badly torn rotator cuff. Called several times. Tried to get into either office, hoped for a cancellation. Just gave up. Unless you have something that you can wait for months and months, don't bother. A good doctor doesn't do you any good if you can't get in to see him. read more

I had my shoulder done quite a few years ago, as a minor. I don't, quite, know what was done. Apparently medical records for minors only need to be kept until 18-I had roughly 7 months to collect, before they were discarded (according to PMs with Dr Weiss). I found my experience to be on the more disappointing side. Not the most aware/warmest of personalities, and fairly unfriendly. I didn't find his services (surgery) to be helpful, at all. Where shall I begin? This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor in my life. He spent more time lecturing me on my vaccine status than he did about my injury. He was rude, asking if I was a conspiracy "nut job" and told me that I would get covid, die and kill others in the process. Extremely unprofessional. As another review mentioned, he was aloof and pompous. When I spoke about it with my coworkers, I found that several of them had similar experiences but had gone through with their surgeries. Each expressed that they wished they had chosen a different surgeon. Several stated they felt no improvement after their surgeries and he gave them extremely low WC ratings or 0%. I was told yesterday that he actually refused to treat a friend because they are not vaccinated. There are too many good, professional doctors in the area to choose from, do yourself a favor and steer clear of him. *** And just as I expected, he immediately responded with another covid lecture. My doctor referred me to Dr Weiss for some serious elbow pain. Dr Weiss gave me an appointment for less than a week after I called which was great. During my visit he quickly figured out I had a pretty big bone spur and torn tendons as a result. This is during Covid times when things are a little more spaced out for procedures and within a month I had a surgery date. Surgery day went off on time and planned. Dr Weiss gave me an amount of time it should take to heal and after that amount of time I was back to riding my motorcycle ready to abuse myself again with absolutely no pain. I don't do a lot of reviews and am super busy at the moment. However I do think that Dr Weiss Ortho is one of the best offices and surgeons on the West Coast. I've had a lot of injuries and my interactions with this office has been worth a 5 Star review. I've had both surgeries and injections and X-rays there and all of my outcomes have been perfect. The front desk, the P.A. And Dr Weiss are 110% professional and exceptional at what they do. I really, really just don't get the people complaining about how busy his office is... of course it's busy, they are one of the best. I've NEVER had to wait more than 15 minutes and my surgery and injection outcomes are terrific. You can't go wrong with Dr Weiss and staff. read more

Dr. Weiss and his staff are 5 star. Just had my last follow check up to a ulnar oestiotmy and repair of my dominant wrist tfcc ligament. Back at work full time as an auto/heavy duty mechanic months early. Dr. Weiss was spot on on diagnosis, options and treatment. Staff is stellar. He came highly recommended and there was no set backs or disappointment. Therapist Christina at Sport and Spine is a excellent compliment to my healing process. So I had hand surgery from him back in 1998... I didn't have insurance so he did me a favor and did the surgery for a lower price that excluded anesthisia... And afterwards he called me a baby for crying. Unfortunately I couldn't use the pain killers and had to endure weeks of pain. After that story my beau still had shoulder surgery last fall from him. No mention that it took 3 months after a motorcycle accident to get an appointment. It's now 7 months from the surgery and after rehab he has 40% movement... Not good. I won't mention that he didn''t check how his pain killers mixed with his current meds. It was 4 days of his life he won't ever remember- but we will. And Dr. Weiss just prolongs making a decision of what next to do. If I were you- continue to look elsewhere outside of Sonoma for a doctor. read more

I would not recommend Dr Weiss. I am also a doctor, and at the time I scheduled my appointment, I made it clear that I was coming from my office, taking time away from my own patients, and specifically asked how long I should expect to be there so that I wouldn't be keeping my patients waiting by being late back to my practice. I was informed the visit would be about 15 minutes. To be cautious, I allotted 1 hour for the appointment. I arrived a few minutes before my mid afternoon appointment as they had asked me to, and then sat in his waiting area for 30 minutes past my appointment time. An assistant then brought me into the exam room, were I sat for another 20 minutes. At that point I told one of his assistants that it was 50 minutes past my appointment time, and that I had to leave. She hurried out saying she would quickly grab Dr Weiss to see me right away. Dr Weiss saw me 55 minutes after my appointed time. He spent approximately 2 minutes with me, couldn't diagnose my problem, and referred me for other testing. He spent no time reviewing my medical history or inquiring into how my injury may have occurred or explaining the prognosis..... and I probably would have been sitting there another hour if I hadn't threatened to leave. I would not want to return to his care, and will find another hand specialist. read more

Dr. Weiss is a skilled surgeon. He is kind of your typical cocky doctor (or was years ago, I don't know about now), but you know what? He gets to be, because he is that good and can back it up with skill. I broke my wrist badly mountain biking up on Lawndale at Annadel years ago and he told me the bone went into the joint and that while surgery was the best option to avoid arthritis later in life, he could attempt to reset the bone manually by having his assistant hold me while he did the reset. I opted for option #2 because I wasn't down with going under the knife in that case. I saw the before and after x-ray pictures, and he completely nailed the manual procedure. The bone was perfectly reset, and I was blown away. He came recommended highly and it was then that I realized why. I have since referred several people to him and once revisited him for a partially dislocated shoulder which he also helped me with. If you have a hand, arm, or shoulder injury, you simply must go to this guy. read more

Being a college student who seldom goes to a specialized doctor, Dr.Weiss and his staff welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable. I have recently begun feeling painful foot cramps and with the advice of my good friend she recommended me to Dr. Weiss. I showed up a half hour before my doctor's appointment and was in the waiting area for only about 10-15 minutes. I was seen pretty swiftly. The assistant was very courteous asking me many questions about my medical history which made me feel more at ease. Honestly, I just played games on my phone for a few minutes and before I knew it Dr. Weiss was ready to see me. He spent a long time asking me about my recent physical activity, and explaining what exercises and care I should seek. I'm really glad that I went in to check even though it was a false alarm, I feel that Dr. Weiss was extremely knowledgeable and knew his stuff. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends. He's clear and concise and doesn't freak me out with huge terminology. P.S. I'm pretty jealous that Dr. Weiss has Google glasses... I mean, come on... read more

The worst doctor you can possibly go to. A year and a half after terrible carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, I am still badly scarred and have lost coordination in my hand, along with permanent nerve damage. Weiss used sutures I was highly allergic to that were not removed for 84 days while I suffered terrible infection and begged him repeatedly to remove them. Developed tachycardia ( dangerously high pulse, nearly killed me a dozen times) and am now permanently on heart meds. When he finally removed and replaced sutures, he deliberately hit my medial nerve during anesthesia, causing permanent damage and nerve pain. I am a professional musician, and have lost coordination, seriously affecting my ability to play instruments. Was seen by Weiss only 1 time after surgery, six weeks postop. At that visit, which I was fraudulently charged for ( Calif. Law states that all post op visits are covered for 90 days after surgery by the surgical fee) he told me that leaving the sutures in would NOT cause more scarring (false), and to treat the excessive pain with Motrin, a drug I have fatal, anaphylaxis reaction from. Weiss also fraudulently charged me a second surgical fee for removing sutures that were killing me. After posting here, I suddenly got a refund for the fee, a clear indication that it should not have been charged in the first place. I am discussing this situation with legal professionals to assess the terrible damage done to my life by someone sworn to "First do no harm". I have never dealt with anyone more morally corrupt, less compassionate, and more contemptuous of the laws pertaining to this experience. If you don't believe me, look up the malpractice cases filed against him, I found 4 in just the last 8 years. Weiss is currently being investigated by the Medical Board of California as a result of my case. read more

I have read the other reviews of Dr Weiss and am surprised. I have been a patient of Dr Weiss's since I had the unbelievable luck of having him the 'on call' orthopedic physician at Sonoma Valley Hospital when I fell down at Sears Point Raceway. While racing motorcycles; I had my right arm, which I am right arm dominant, crushed while another motorcyclist and his bike, both wheels, rolled over my right elbow as I was sliding down the tarmac. This was about 1998, when it was still called Sears Point Raceway. My first surgery was 9 hours, an hour later he went back in for another 7 hours, Weiss and another attending Physician, plus all the other assistants toiled to save my arm. The bones in my elbow joint were pulverized and I suffered a 'green tree fracture' of the ulna which made standard plates and screws nearly useless. Massive swelling from the trauma caused muscle swelling, constricted the veins, which would have killed my hand by gangrene without blood flow. Skin grafts, implants, bones from cadavers, removal of some hardware, therapy, range of motion efforts to de-calcify the joint, we did it all. This was a very severe injury. The elbow is a complex joint as reaching to one's mouth, and extending arm for instance is just 1/2 of the action. Being able to rotate your hand with arm extended from palm down to palm up is also managed by this joint. 6 surgeries later, 7 total, many, many months; weeks of physical therapy, we had exhausted all our avenues. My elbow was as good as it was going to get. "There is nothing else we can do." I am not related to this guy and to me he's just a physician plying his trade. So: I DID take my complete file, at my own cost, to one Dr Arthur Ting for a consult. Any motorcyclists who is familiar with AMA Pro Racing out there will know him. (Google Ting) I had Ting scrutinize all Weiss's work, X-rays, medial files the whole she-bang and Ting said that he wouldn't have done anything different, that the result was quite remarkable and I was lucky to have Weiss. Less skilled doctors couldn't have done what Weiss did. I am 100% back at my physically demanding job and know, beyond ANY doubt that I received the best care from Weiss...the best care possible, from ANY physician. I have had 3 shoulder surgeries and numerous other soft tissue injuries managed by Weiss. I won't go anywhere else. I know this guy is a legit, honest, technically competent, dedicated professional Doctor who makes all options available clear to me, the repercussions of each made clear, other damage I might do by not doing something, made clear. He enables me to continue to do the things I want, getting me back in life asap. He is aware of newest methods and treatments. I trust him. Carly in his Novato office (which I use now) is professional and has been timely with getting documentation/medical records in the right place at the right time, when she said she would. I have to say that I agree with ONE, minor, minor, aspect of another reviewer's experience: His occational lateness is not becoming. I personally have never waited 90 minutes to be seen as k.b. did. Since I have been a patient for so many years, I can say that his time management has gotten better...my time is valuable as his, however; I for one will wait for the best in medical orthopedic care. Dr Weiss et al took excellent care of me and my shoulders. Jan 2016 & Aug. 2016. Was referred to Dr Weiss by my present Orthopedists so you know that is a high recommendation. Starting with Darlene at the desk, through Jen the Doc Assist. I felt more like a friend than a patient. Oh sure they did their professional stuff with me and believe me I was scared as I am NOT a good patient. I don't take doctors orders well (leave at that), Dr. Weiss warned me I would have a long recovery which is great for my brain as I need to plan... I/We did so well that I returned within 7 months for the second shoulder. Second one was even easier both surgically and recovery. Doctor Weiss encouraged my insistence on PT with 9 corners (Chiro and PT.) And here I am Two shoulders reconstructed with-in a years time; I am doing GREAT - Thanks to my team at Weiss Orthopaedics! read more

I had minor injury to my hand and finger which caused trigger finger. I went to Dr. Weiss for x-rays and treatment. My first impression of Dr. Weiss was that he seemed disorganized and his staff was impersonal and unfriendly. I just assumed it was a busy day for them and chose to ignore the cold atmosphere. When I returned for treatment on another day, the atmosphere was the same. He performed his treatment, percutaneous release surgery (digging a needle deeply into the hand to scratch the tendon sheath until it breaks) which he did multiple times during that visit because he had difficulty cutting the sheath. In spite of a local anesthesia, during those multiple attempts I could feel excruciating pain travel up to my elbow and shoulder. (Although I have had general surgeries in the past, I have never felt that kind of pain.) Unfortunately, Dr. Weiss' treatment caused temporary nerve damage that took weeks to heal and left me with a permanent, pea sized, hard painful lump on the palm of my hand, below my finger joint. When I mentioned this to Dr. Weiss, he seemed unconcerned and acted as though it was normal. I did not feel that Dr. Weiss or his staff cared about my well being. I would not recommend Dr. Weiss to do this type of procedure to treat trigger finger. read more

My husband hurt his finger so badly that he can't move the tip anymore. It was a work accident and was approved for workman's comp. Getting an appointment with Dr. Weiss is near to impossible, because the only appointment taker works very limited hours. At the beginning, we were told to leave a message and he'd get an appointment. However, the second they found out it was a workman's comp claim, they said they are not accepting new patients. I cannot believe this. I thought doctors were supposed to be unbiased healers. What I'm seeing is that Dr. Weiss is only concerned with money. Very sad state of medicine today. Just had surgery #4 with Dr. Weiss and PA Jen Lo. I originally broke both arms on vacation - had the first repair in Central America then came home to have it "dutifully checked." 2 months later my wrist and elbow were not healing properly and I was in constant pain. My original orthopedist referred me to Dr. Weiss as he was the wrist/hand specialist. Night and Day! He was clear, concise and listed in order the necessity of repairs (5 to my wrist) with great pictures on his exam room's whiteboard walls. I saw him on a Wednesday, had my MRI on a Friday and was in the surgery center the following Friday. Two weeks later I had my elbow repaired. (rebroken and set with pins) I was out of work for almost 9 months, yet diligently followed my PT program. One year later, I ruptured my ACL camping (dancing and piggy backs don't mix well.) This activity earned me one cadaver ligament and two shiny titanium buttons. This summer I tore my meniscus during SUP Yoga. Dr Weiss repaired my other knee and this was the easiest surgery so far....... Each time I have been to his office, the staff have been pleasant, helpful (when I couldn't write they'd transcribe) and apologetic if running late. Even though I feel like a broken down car, I have been given excellent care from Dr Weiss (and his google glasses) Jen Lo, his PA, the rotating medical assistants and Laurie the surgery scheduler. I also have complimentary therapies to ease/speed the recovery and have been lauded for my advocacy. As I also work in the medical field, I appreciate the attention to detail for my care. One cause for change - it would be helpful and convenient if a patient could contact the office via email - or a secure patient log-in to view x-ray, MRI and lab findings, operative results, as well as ask questions when the office is closed. read more

I received a referral to Dr. Weiss from my GP for an injured wrist. I was initially impressed, as his staff is very nice and his office is quite high tech. Dr. Weiss' diagnosis was a ganglion cyst. After it was clear that cortisone shots weren't working, he recommended surgery to remove the cyst. I went into surgery expecting a three to four day recovery. I woke up with a torn ligament repair and faced six weeks in a FULL arm cast. And with that lovely surprise, Dr. Weiss didn't even stick around to tell my husband the outcome of the surgery. From the outset, I had problem after problem with my 'repair.' I had tremendous pain immediately following the surgery. When I called the office, I was ignored or passed off to the PA. Often, my calls were not promptly (or never) returned. My physical therapist, who was concerned about my pain level and lack of healing, attempted to reach out on my behalf and was also brushed off by the practice. When I rarely did see Dr. Weiss, I was told the pain was in my head (and not an actual nerve issue). I ended up going to Dr. William Green - who is amazing. Dr. Green did a second surgery to repair the (very real) nerve compression. I will eventually have to have the wrist ligament "repair" redone, as three years later I'm still having problems. DO NOT under any circumstances go to Dr. Weiss. Save money (that high tech stuff isn't cheap) and most importantly save yourself pain and frustration. read more

I've had two surgeries done by Dr Weiss. First one was in July. I had a very difficult repair of the hamstring tendon that had torn away from my pelvis. I was terrified but dr Weiss assured me it was necessary. He was honest about the difficult rehab. I was prepared to take this on. Today I have no problems with pain or walking. He set me up with a great group of physical therapist in the same building he is in. I just had knee surgery and am waiting to see how all went with a follow up appointment. If all went as well as in July, I will be extremely happy! I agree, he has a very busy practice, but there must be a reason for that. I would rather wait for an hour knowing that I am being taken care of by one of the best orthopedic surgeons. I did not have to wait long at many visits I must say. Also, Lauren does a great job at managing the front desk and has always been friendly as well as professional. Would highly recommend Dr Weiss to friends and family. read more

I've had a total of 9 orthopedic surgeries, the last two done by Dr. Weiss....wrist and shoulder. He and his staff are spectacular. I've sat in more waiting rooms of ortho surgeons than I care to think about but knowing that I was in the care of Dr. Weiss and Jen (his very smart and wonderful Physician's Assistant) made it easier. I'm in the recovery process now, and it's slow and ouchy, but that is the nature of the surgeries. His office staff is great. Having to deal with the numbskulls at the insurance company elevates his office staff to "hero" status. I couldn't possibly have a worse more incompetent insurance carrier and yet these office angels make it happen. Yes, I too have had to wait in the waiting room. It's expected! Not every patient is textbook and more time may be required. Remember that the next time your situation takes longer than expected and the person behind you has to wait. To the "doctor" that wrote the review about how angry they were they had to wait past their appointment time.....just stop it. All of us are important and have important lives and important jobs....blah blah blah. You are no different because you have "MD" after you name. We all matter to Dr. Weiss no matter our job title. I have never actually written a review before, however before I scheduled my appt. with Dr. Weiss I did read through these reviews. I will say after reading some of them, I was a little skeptical in seeing him. He had been highly recommended to me by my own Dr. so I decided since I was seeing him for a second opinion I would take a chance. I am so pleased that I went ahead and scheduled my appt. His office staff, from the receptionist to his medical assistants were not only cheerful but very helpful . I had a very short wait time (10 minutes) and was greeted by Dr. Weiss within 5 minutes once in the exam room. I found Dr. Weiss not only very charming, but very thorough and extremely knowledgeable. He went over my x-rays, my ultrasound, discussed options and further treatment etc.. I was so impressed by his expertise and knowledge I will be continuing with him as my primary orthopedic specialist. I fell and broke my arm in several pieces and damaged the nerves. I could not hold my hand up at all without a brace. My other Dr. could not help me use my hand again. He sent me to see Dr. Weiss. Dr Weiss said ok we will move this here and this there and you should be able to use your hand again. It worked it's not 100 % but at least I can use it now. Dr. Weiss had me wait 90 minutes past my appointment time...every visit. In fact, one time I had a 4:00PM appointment, waited until 5:30PM, when I was told," The doctor has left for the day." going out the back door and not talking to me in person. He fired my physical therapist and never notified me. Three weeks later (messages not returned by physio or office) I went into the office and was told. No referral to someone else. He spent 5 of the 7 minutes of each visit, speaking into his recorder/medical notes suing medical and legal info. (Felt like all he was doing was covering himself from being sued in future) My procedure, I had a finger being held dislocated while the bone healed. It got snagged in my car seatbelt and bent the wire's framing the joint. I called the office the same day and told them that the wire had bent and my finger was not straight. Dr. Weiss told via the phone, that it was impossible to bend the wires. I told him I wanted to see him right away and he did not accommodate my appointment for 8 days! His response was, wow I haven't seen that before. Subsequently, it was now too late to straighten. (Still bent in shape of the bent wire/knuckle is frozen) This physician's only concern is his pocket book. I have never had a problem receiving medical treatment prior or since. If you have an ortho problem, you deserve a physician who cares about his patients more the vacation home. read more

All I can say is don't go there. I ended up having two collarbone surgeries two weeks apart. He misjudged the length of the titanium plate in my collarbone and within 3 days it was broken in 3 places. The fluoroscope showed the lifted plate and dangling screws. Still, he had me wait another week before scheduling another surgery. Stupid me, I let him do the second surgery. Should not have, at more than a year later I am having my collarbone x-rayed because something is not right and it looks and feels weird.. He fired an excellent PA and he was gone my next visit. There are better surgeons for sure! read more

I generally don't like to write reviews of medical practices because I tend to be hard on them. However just yesterday I had one of the best experiences of a medical practice that I've had in a very long time. Since it was so outstanding I thought why not make their day. From the moment I made my first inquiry call to the office a woman by the name of Deidre was outstanding. She answered all my questions with plenty of patience in her voice even through I could tell she was very busy. First impressions are always very important, well begun is half done. I arrive at the office on time with my paperwork in hand and was greeted by Deidre. Not too long of a wait in the waiting room. Another woman then called my name and then greeted me to follow her to the room where I would meet with the doc, apologized for the delay. Nice high touch and very professional. In a short time Doc Weiss comes in to the room, he's very chipper, nattily groomed, nice glasses, proficient, intelligent and a bit comical very important to have a bit of comic relief in a medical office, looks at my rather large cyst on my wrist and then begins to described that we'll go to the next room and take a better look at the cyst with some rather cool Cray kind of digital equipment. He more than adequately describes what we're both looking at in detail and remarks that this cyst is rather strait forward. We go back to the other room and he offers me three options as to how to take care of it. I opt for having it aspirated, basically drained. He then calls in yet another Great person who is the woman who will do that task. She is friendly, upbeat and knows what she's doing. I couldn't have asked for a better person to stick needles in my wrist and and then withdraw all the sticky fluid that accumulated in the cyst. Sorry for the graphic description. She finishes the entire procedure and let's me know if I have any additional questions and or need any more attention to make sure I keep them posted. All in all this was a very good experience and if I have to have this cyst surgically removed at some future time I will go there and have this practice take care if it. All of the staff is first rate and Doc Weiss, even though he personally didn't conduct the procedure, I was still impressed with his emotionally intelligent approach to a new patient. One parting comment is I would have preferred if he had taken just one minute as I was leaving the office to have said good bye and hope to not have to see me again. Carpal tunnel release surgery went well, and recovery was swift. This was a worker's comp case, and his staff handled all the paper work well. This would be a five star except for the fact that I always waited at least 60 minutes past appointment time to see him or his PA. Waiting room enviroment could be improved if they asked patients to refrain from using cell phones. Not pleasant to have to listen to 3 to5 people on the phone at once. read more

Dr. Weiss is and has been ranked one of the top Orthopedic Surgeons in the country. Orthopedic Surgeons that have been practicing for 25+ years and Physical Therapists who see the work of other surgeons daily have told me they respect his work and he's a great surgeon--one of the best. Dr. Weiss unlike other doctors and surgeons I had seen in the past correctly diagnosed my condition. He has performed two surgeries on me and I wouldn't consider using another surgeon. Although my conditions have been tricky and challenging to deal with, he has always had wonderful bedside manner, truly cares and hasn't given up on helping me. After each surgery Dr. Weiss updated my husband and I on the results of the procedure. And his staff gets an A+ for professionalism, awareness, knowledge and patient care.
