My last review was taken down because It stayed that it was not about the RUSD. The Redlands Unified School District is a very good and known school district with many good attributes and employees. Many have been there many years and have done great work. However it has came to my attention that there is some shady business going on whether it be through the RUSD administration, employees or the actual school administrators but there have been not one, nor two but SEVERAL complaints about sexual misconduct involving RUSD staff/teachers and students. In one occasion it went so far the The teacher Mrs. Laura Whitehurst employed by RUSD and a teacher a cvhs, who in several occasions had sexual intercourse with one or several other student(s) in the classroom, even had a child with a student. Another case was involving Mr. Kirkland who was also employed by the RUSD and a teacher and coach at RHS and sexual encounters and actions with several students on and off campus. During a lawsuit that that resulted in a $15.7 million settlement against the RUSD, it was alleged that staff of RUSD to covered up multiple complaints of sexual abuse and sexual misconduct. It is said that There was evidence brought forth and that this may be one of the reasons why RUSD May have lost the lawsuit. And just recently another sexual abuse/misconduct case has risen involving former RSH teacher employed by RUSD/RHS known as Joel Everett Chandler Koonce a drama teacher, has been arrested for having sexual intercourse with multiple students on and off campus. It was also stated that he even went to the extent of having an orgy with multiple students inside the theater building at rhs. Also stated was that he would smoke marijuana with his students on/off campus and have intercourse while filming. There was also an incident were a security guard was seen on video using excessive force on a student when it was not needed, there have been recent bomb threats/ school shootings to several schools in the district which has been taken into account and a new fence has been placed on campus. Maybe complaints have been made to RUSD staff/school officials about the food offered on campus and there has been a few changes here and there but students are still complaining. No doubt there is something severe going on here. Wether it be the administration, or the hr department that is not properly screen applicant or maybe complaints are not being handle as they should be. There shouldn't be a necessity to have SEVERAL complaints about sexual misconduct with a minor and still not do anything about it or try to cover it up! I'm not saying it is true but Maybe someone in a high position at RUSD is receiving a bribe to keep quiet about certain things or there is a lack of communication which shouldn't exist after the first complaint went viral. This is just an opinion and a personal review of mine about the Redlands Unified School District some of the above listed can be verified by online sources others are personal opinions and should not be taken as an offense to the school district but as a complaint to the district for review and hopefully some change in the way they operate and take complaints read more

It has been great up until the current generation. Particularly the Redlands High School Baseball team known for being arrogant thanks to getting spoiled from the true culprit Estevan Valencia. Portion of the baseball players are known to be immature, deceitful, ignorant, and rude mostly on the Varsity team. Examples include Charlie Lutz, Jason Mayorquin, Jason Henning, Chet Brown, etc. Jason Henning was one of the biggest examples and after defeating REV to end the season, he displayed such attitude that can never be respected and all he thinks was how good his team was after losing many games and not making playoffs. Jason Mayorquin followed his footsteps and so did Charlie Lutz but what is worse is that they do not listen to other people because it shows how vile they are with such pride. Chet Brown on the other hand is shown mocking other teams and players especially to those who went from RHS to REV. Some of the coaches like Gary Pool and JR Reilly are shown having such attitude too even Reilly is at Kaiser. With said, Take this review into consideration and not to involve yourselves with them even if there are good people. Valencia is a liar and a scum who allows sympathy to ruin the baseball team's reputation thanks to the psychopaths, sociopaths, and other evil people in the planet to see how bad it is today unlike during Bob Ramirez era. Just like REV, RHS too is sketchy and do your best to keep your behavior so that you do not get involve with such types of people. Some staff should be aware of such issues but regardless they are great nonetheless. Join programs and make friends to keep your distance from other people and remember that you are not here to make friends but to get your education. Sad fact is that this school has zero school spirit and is mixed with different stereotypes to the likes of athletes, rich kids, nerds, etc making this school the type of place either not tasteful or tasteful depending on your preference. read more

Want to know why I hate RHS and yes I still do: 1. Full of overprivileged and conservative staff who care nothing about their students shown in the last decade 2. Poor political system that allows Americans particularly the Caucasian ethnicity to underestimate and discriminate other races as a proof of that systemic racism exists on the hidden side of the school 3. Lazy dullards and instigators who get away with nothing harmed upon them 4. Gap between the upper class, middle class, and lower class to prove that the elite rules the school 5. Even the most intelligent students are rude and will not get along with those intellectually below them 6. Special Needs Students are being exploited everywhere you go 7. Fights are everywhere you go 8. Rallies have somewhat of a mixed reception especially the Step it Up Rally where it proves that it gets worse every single year and not one has been considered tasteful to the majority 9. Ignorant and feeble minded students and athletes do not care about their ego and use it to harass others 10. Teachers harass their students and no one is in check to prevent that 11. RUSD has done a poor job on doing a background check allowing teachers to prey on students School needs to restart from the fresh erasing the name Redlands High School to history if you are reading this. read more

Redlands High School and school district continues to protect rapists and abusers. The principal, other adults aware of what is happening, Redlands police,and San Bernardino district attorney will always put the blame those abused. Unfortunately Redlands schools has had its share of perverts, molesters, and other deviants who have given a bad name to the profession in which thousands and thousands of outstanding teachers have worked hard to educate and help create opportunities for our youth! Always has to be those few who cross the line! Majority of the teaching staff go to work everyday to educate our children, of all ages and maintain that professional teacher/student relationship! My heart goes out to them in situations like these! Law enforcement faces the same scrutiny when "bad cops" are brought to light. In both these professions, "One bad apple, doesn't ruin the whole bunch!!" 99.9% of educators and LEO'S are in their chosen profession and take great pride in their work. Please don't lump them all together because of the poor behavior of one individual. For that one or two who make that bad decision, I hope you get what you have coming! I was born in Mexico but raised in America. This school is extremely racist and very offensive extremely discriminative towards everyone. They preachy quality but they definitely do not show it. I have pulled my children out of the district because of it. They treat their teachers horribly they tell them you don't need your pay because you should be honored to work for the Redlands School District which is a very racist School district they have many lawsuits for child pornography and molestation it's definitely not what it used to be. Bottom line the School District Avenue horrible I would highly recommend taking your child to a private school because this place they will learn racism and if you are white you will be hated by the school district. read more
