I took a chance and gave her a call. we had done most of our homework on the process already but my son was really struggling with his essays. I talked to Angel and it seemed like a perfect fit. Her fees were very reasonable and she was willing to work with my son on just exactly what he needed. She had her work cut out for her because getting my son to dig deeper was really a chore. Well, a month before he was supposed to submit his essays he decided that he did not like what he wrote and that it wasn't representing who he was. In a panic mode we contacted Greg to help. In just a month they were able to do an incredible common app essay and over 10 supplemental essays for all the EAs my son was sending out. He really (mostly by phone or video call) encourages the student to think independently and do the necessary work on a regular and ongoing basis. From listening to our daughter talk about her friends at other schools not having a good sense of why they are applying to certain colleges or understanding the college application process, we can have the sense that many high school's guidance counselors are overwhelmed with the number of students they need to work with and a lot of students are left to figure things out without much real guidance. Our daughter received lots of feedback and practice with writing college essays and answering the application questions. Trevor has been very helpful with the ins and outs of college financial aid. The guidance that Trevor Ramos provides has been invaluable. We are currently starting with our son who is in tenth grade with Trevor.

I specifically came here when I was in high school for Calculus BC and was hoping to earn a 5 on my AP exam. I worked directly with both Mr. Han and Terri, who were both great at breaking down a tough subject into simple and understandable steps. I ended up earning a 5 on my exam and accomplished my goal. I couldn't say enough about their support. They are professional, organized, encouraging, and really good at what they do. I heard they have since expanded and offer more academic support for SATs, writing, and other AP subjects. During my time in high school, I had a lot of trouble as the difficulty of class increased and the availability of my teachers and peers that could help were few. This institution was very supportive to my learning experience. All the tutors I have met here are very enthusiastic and patient about teaching their students. They come prepared with a lesson plan and really make sure everyone leaves understanding everything that was taught. If there were ever a problem, I would let them know and we would look at the problem together when we meet.
