When we arrived and paid (nearly $300 for two people), she made a comment about having "seen crumpled one-dollar bills before but never hundreds," which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Throughout the ride, she micromanaged constantly despite us following instructions and staying behind her horse the entire time. At the end of the ride, when I said thank you, she commented that it looked like my shorts were undone. They were slightly baggy Levi shorts -- that's the style -- and they were clearly not undone. When I calmly said, "No, they're just baggy," she turned to the other attendants as we were walking out and asked them to look and confirm. At that point, we simply left. Making personal comments about a guest's clothing and involving other people was unnecessary and inappropriate. For the price paid, I expected professionalism and a welcoming atmosphere -- especially for a birthday celebration. The horses were wonderful, but the overall experience felt overly critical and oddly personal at times. For guests celebrating special occasions, a more professional and welcoming tone would have made a big difference.

We rode nice and easy for 1.5 hours. We were first time riders, so we'd say it was worth every penny, and we got the souvenir photos. We definitely left wanting more -- in a good way. The only disappointments were that we could not trot with our horses once we got comfortable, we were in such a large group of novice riders that most couples' horses had trouble staying next to each other, and the weather was less than ideal. It was cold and cloudy, so no beautiful sunset was seen. We'll have to try again soon! Tips: 1. Check the weather before you book, and if it isn't looking like it'll be to your liking, change your reservation in advance. 2. Dress comfortably and cutely for photo ops. 3. Do NOT drink/eat much before you go. (They only have porta potties.) 4. Bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer... for the porta potty.

When the fish weren't showing up, he kept us moving to try different areas. So, we got a nice tour of Lagunda Madre too. Lots of dolphins both day. Got some great video of three jumping along the boat in tandem. All kinds of birds. A few stingrays were caught we got a close up look at them. So, even if you have someone who doesn't fish they can go as an observer, see lots of wildlife and enjoy the day. Had fun both days and would definitely recommend them.
