They were respectful, apologetic, and gave clear examples of how they were intending to fix the issues we experienced. No one is perfect, the best that we can expect is that when something inevitably goes wrong, that the company does its best to fix the problem. I personally would still be hesitant to stay at this park because of my negative experience. But if the main management​ is able to fix the issues we experienced, our stay would have been quite pleasant otherwise. And top-level​ management definitely takes great pride in their parks and seems to be striving to fix the issues, so you may very well have better luck during​ your stay.

We've found…read morePadre Balli park isn't as crowded as others, and if you park by the pier (currently being restored from Hurricane Hannah), you can walk to the showers (rinse only - no soap or conditioner). Lots of people bring canopies, and we saw some that had bag holders for the canopies so your beach bag isn't full of sand on the bottom. We'd also advise a picnic/outdoor blanket to set stuff on and cup holders that go into the sand to hold your beverage. It's fun to watch the local surf school give lessons, and there are lots of locals/families.

The balcony overlooks the ocean and is definitely a quieter area verses balconies that overlook the large pool/hot tub areas. The outdoor amenities are quite relaxing. Four large hot tubs are available, so there is not an issue with overcrowding. We brought our own food and drinks for the condo for breakfast and lunch and then would eat out for dinner either in Corpus or Port Aransas (this resort is right in between the two towns). We are definitely going to stay at this resort and condo again in the near future.

I will not be back and highly recommend everyone else avoid Port Royal unless they are able to guarantee you will get a decent unit. Broken drawer, broken old and dirty blinds that are not the correct size for the openings. Mini fridge broken and smells strongly of mildew or mold.. Wires cords and unfinished electrical items everywhere. Sharp dangerous tile and drain in shower. Inadequately stocked kitchen. Water damaged walls. Old dated fixtures appliances outlets and switches yellowed with age. Sparse decor most very dated. Uncomfortable beds that are very tall. Should have a step. I have never seen a bed that tall. The large tacky night stands were very tiny and too short next to the large tacky beds. Roaches outside everywhere. The only good part of the trip was the pool but there are many better places to stay that are worth the cost that also have nice pools.
