I believe our instructor's name was Hannah. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and encouraging. She brought great energy to the class and got everyone laughing and excited to paint! I love to paint and draw, I just don't have any real creative talent :) It was fun and easy to follow along and even find ways to make the painting your own. The studio itself had great vibes overall. I feel like the staff does a really good job of making the environment really fun and upbeat. There was fun music playing the whole time, which was really nice for painting and socializing. They had a decent selection of beverages, including wine, beer, cider, soda, and water. My boyfriend and I each got a glass of wine (I think they were $9 each), and then we ended up splitting a ginger ale later in the evening. We definitely got our money's worth with the wine, and it was really fun to be able to have a drink in hand while being an ~artist~. Overall, I had a really fun time during the class. Through this group, I've taken trips, celebrated birthdays and holidays, and even had the honor of officiating my best friend's wedding--someone I met through ITL. One thing I appreciated from the start was ITL's clear distinction that it's not a dating site. That was exactly why I joined--I wasn't looking to date, just to find a solid, supportive group of friends. I have been to Ireland, Cabo, Thailand and soon St. Lucia with folks from all four locations across the the country. They make traveling so much fun, events planned at the various countries and incorporating learning about the culture in a fun way. I've been able to connect with and reconnect with folks on trips. Details I love: the bathrooms are spacious and single-use only, which is a relief. As someone who positively hates using a cubicle with huge gaps at the door hinge, this is great. They have little lockers to store your belongings, and also a coat rack. The designers of this place clearly put a lot of thought into planning it! It's nice that everyone was able to do their own booking and we could still get spots sitting next to each other. Some of us were lucky enough to find a 5$ off discount code as well. The class started and ended on time. Everything was set up when we arrived and aprons were provided. It did fill up though so perhaps it is important to register asap. There were two instructors who helped with everything we needed and demonstrated the painting in the front of the room. I liked that the class I took had the pretraced picture on the palette when I arrived. I had previously taken a wine and paint class with another company and it definitely does not look as good due to this. It was also nice that we had a variety of colors to choose from for our background so each picture looked individual. I am surprisingly happy with how mine turned out. A member of our group arrived very late and was still able to catch up and ended up with a great finished product. I think everyone was slightly disappointed that the class did not include any beer from the brewery, but we were able purchase and drink while we painted. One of the instructors ended up doing some waitressing for us as well, which was incredibly nice and allowed us to keep on painting with little distraction. They also did a few raffles for some small prizes which was a nice touch.

I've done a few events with them at Emory's on Silver Lake, and everyone just has a great time. For a non-artist, I'm pretty impressed with my results. It's neat they travel to different locations, so you can find something near you on a specific day and it's easy to sign up! And I LOVE that they do more than just canvas prints, so you can get more creative and not have all these prints and nowhere to put them! The wine bottle lamps are AWESOME.
