Early in the process I noticed how little weight my input seemed to carry, and when the first match was presented I couldn't ignore it. From the beginning, I was explicit about two strong preferences: staying based in Seattle, and not wanting to have biological children of my own. The first match I was presented with, described as my "future wifey", lives in LA and wants kids, and I was persistently encouraged to fly there to meet her as soon as possible. Now, "strong preference" dealbreaker, so while this was an odd first match to push, not out of bounds. The issue is that when I expressed hesitation, I was told to emphasize my willingness to relocate while downplaying the significant reservations I'd shared during the interview. On children, I was advised to describe myself as "open to" and "ready for" starting a family, despite having been clear that those descriptions didn't accurately reflect where I was. As justification, they told me women are "always looking for red lights and reasons to write you off." I wasn't asked to lie outright. But it felt...unsettling. It felt less like thoughtfully introducing two people and more like a sales process. The kicker? They tell you that it's the people who question their guidance who don't succeed. Maybe. Or maybe that's a convenient unfalsifiable premise. So I came into this expecting that I'll be seen and set up with people who, you know, actually match, rather than get packaged into something easier to sell. If that experience isn't unique, it raises an uncomfortable question for anyone using this service: how much of what you're told about a match reflects who that person really is, versus the guidance they've received about how to present themselves? I can only speak to my own experience, but I think prospective clients should ask. There were other disappointments--including slow and often curt communication, bland/generic styling advice--that contributed to an experience that, in my view, wasn't remotely worth the price, but the main issue was simply the lack of trust.

I've had the opportunity to work Monique for several years…read more This is a professional service not unlike your high end advisors and consultants. Be prepared to make an investment of finances and time. Be advised, this is not a simple dating service - there are apps for that. To me, this is a relationship service, where Monique and her growing group of team members come to your aid and help you be better, to have a great relationship. As a relationship broker, she is kind, empathetic and her demeanor is one of impeccable bearing when first encountering. She is also highly inquisitive, especially during her assessment of you, what you are looking for, and what you are attempting to achieve. All of these were comforting components that I would expect of a coach, and advisor. Like any other coach, she is thoughtful and will be brutally honest in her analysis of you, as a person. But do not take this personal, as her honesty is a necessary step to improve not your dating, but you as a person. Now, remember, not all pairings will work out on the first meet. That is nature and that is life. And I known that is beyond Monique's control. However, we are encouraged to try again and get better. That all I could ask for. Please do set your expectations accordingly on who you are, as Monique and her people are really trying to help you. Also, this is a premium service, so understand what you are INVESTING both emotionally and financially - the fee can be reasonable, but not outrageous. This is an investment into yourself, and I am happy Monique was able to help me be better. Thank you Monique!

MONEY- be prepared to fork it over for nothing- save time and just burn it!…read more As a successful 55-year-old woman I was tired of being alone or dating men with serious financial problems. I thought by going to an upscale service I'd get better options and personalized attention with more appropriate dates. I'm only writing this to save another middle-aged woman thousands of dollars for nothing and a year of being made to feel very badly your quest to ever find a partner, and to end up feeling bad as it's nicely made clear your third rate goods. First, I was told there were many, many options only to find out once I've paid the money and did the photos, 2 weeks later actually none of those men available, suddenly all taken. During the year, I had a total of 5 dates- all of them bad, a couple of them truly awful. The best one the man was 8 years older and looked 9 months pregnant (!) - the rest ranged from totally off the rails with a serious criminal background (which Sophia knew about but did not disclose), to a man 22 years older, not fit to the point of walking, unstable, with a cane ; I had asked for someone with fit health within 5-10 years of my age... The next date was 17 years older and only wanted a petite woman as he was short and rather feminine - I'm 5'7, 5'10 in heels- he let me know I was not his type at all within in minutes- he told me Sophia knew this and was irritated she'd even matched us up. I was supposed to take what ever a "desperate" old woman was offered, no matter how bad the offering was- and it was clear I should have been grateful. I, according to her, was just too picky for what I had to offer. Sophia doesn't really like having middle aged women as clients, but you don't find this out until you pay the money- Sophia is very persuasive but it's clear she takes on clients she should not- I was someone she should have turned down-

Aka millionaire matchmaker…read more Well, for any considering this, I figured a word of caution. Sophia is not qualified to even attempt about half the things she does, whether spiritual, hypnotic, or psychotherapy. It's just not a good idea to let someone untrained practice on live subjects. More details: she sums you up based primarily on your looks and does not want to hear anything about who you are or your history. She will have you read literally dozens of self help books. She does not take notes and will contradict things she told you to do at the last session. More importantly, it's pretty clear that she is unaware of her own actions/ reactions to people: for example, if you're having a bad day, she may attempt to build you up, a little. But if you're feeling great, confident, sexy, and energetic: she unconsciously tears you down and leaves you feeling crummy. Why? Hard to say, but I bet it had something to do with a NEED she has to be important. This is exactly why she should not be attempting psychotherapy. The deal is 3000$ for 20 hours of sessions, which if you complete you can be lucky enough to enter into her database if exclusive clients. Now at some point I quit, probably after ten hours of this nonsense (dragged out through most of a year). But I can tell you in a nutshell how to get exactly what I got for substantially cheaper. 1) lose weight 2) wear nice clothes or get a personal stylist 3) get your hair cut at gene Juarez 4) get your makeup done at Flawless Beauty Bars 5) get professional photos taken 6) get a match.com account (and half a dozen others) 7) write a profile that's short and light and use only the professional photos. As for the rest - get a self help book.
