She is warm and responsive in her communications, and I feel like my child's neurodivergent needs are respected. I think he truly enjoys having significantly more outdoor time than the previous corporate type setting he was at. Being so close to nature is a positive for his nervous system as well. Teachers here are easy to communicate. ELLs also hold some events such as Chinese traditional culture, summer graduation celebrations, and some nice coffee time. It was also comforting to see that there were no TVs, swings or jumpers -- nope -- they actually rock babies to sleep in their arms & interact with them 1:1. The center director is super sharp (I was blown away that she could remember my babies birthday off the top of her head), kind, attentive & runs a tight ship. When it was time for my daughter to transition to the toddler room, they made it as easy as possible. They worked out a schedule so that my daughter didn't feel like she was being thrown out of her old classroom and into a new one with way bigger kids. Their #1 concern was that my daughter didn't feel stressed or displaced. The price? Yep - it's expensive, but you're getting the best care and, come on, you've got some precious cargo - if you can afford it, it's worth it. Highly recommend!

That seems standard for childcare centers, unfortunately, and I would've given 4 stars except my 18mo-old child contracted Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease, which is highly communicable. I expected him to come home with a cold -- because daycare -- but this resulted in multiple ER and doctor visits and 2 weeks of recovery for our entire family. So I don't think it was worth the cost or effort to get there (45min commute each direction). Time-wise, it would've been better for me to just take 3 days off work and hang out with my kid instead of using backup care to end up at this location. But at least his immune system is a little more fortified, I guess?! Also, I have a feeling the only reason BH Kirkland had an opening for us in the first place (our original reservation at a different BH center closer to us was canceled last minute because they had no space) was because someone ended up out sick and staff clearly didn't take appropriate cleaning and sanitizing protocols as a result.

I knew after the amazing tour Sam would be in good hands, but I didn't expect to gain a family. Truly life changing and I hope everyone gets to experience what I have found here. In the past 6 months, Sam has grown leaps and bounds. He is more behaved at home. He is learning things that unfortunately I did not have the capacity to fully teach him while working multiple jobs. My 3 yr old I didn't realize how much care and love her 2 yr old teacher put in until she commented one day that she didn't have to sit there rubbing her back for nap time and she was able to self soothe now. The teachers truly care that the kids feel cared for, safe and loved. The outdoor spaces are great and separated by age appropriate things and they do so many art projects as well. The staff are kind and understanding with parents when you call to check in if your child had a big feelings day and drop off was challenging. We love it there!
