This daycare is irresponsible, unsafe, and dishonest. I trusted them to take care of my child. The teacher of the toddler class neglected him. As a result, he is seriously sick now. At least two members of staff lied about the situation. No one really took the issue seriously. This center has no empathy or respect for children. Parents in my community and colleagues were horrified to hear our experience. We will make sure that all of our friends and colleagues who are parents and considering Bright Horizons are aware of how dangerous this center is. read more

My two kids (toddler and preschooler) both go to this center. I trust the safety and healthy food they provide. The teachers are all nice, and are happy to work with parents. I recently worried about the teacher stability about my younger one's classroom, as my son did not do well with unfamiliar teachers. The management team has well communicated with me on my concern and resolved my concern with the lead teacher staying in the classroom as much as possible. I appreciate their opening to listening to parents' concern and try their best to meet all parents and kids' need. I would recommend this center if you are looking for a safe place with good teachers/management. read more

I have a very picky and sassy 8 year old that is a tough critic. When I found myself in need of care the week before her horse camp started (horse camp is a big deal) I was able to send her to Back Up Care at Redmond BH. I was prepared to hear the worst and battle it out... Did not happen. When we arrived, front desk staff automatically made her feel at home (she is shy at first) and whisked her off to her class. She made friends, had tons of super engaging activities (she kept talking about what she did all the way home), and loved her teachers. She was taught and learned some sewing skills and played fashion designer (adding this to her list of future careers). By the end of that first day, she said she loved it so much she wished she could do horse camp AND back up care. I was floored. Whatever you are doing at BH Redmond, keep it up. Horse Camp is over and we are coming back. Mostly because she asked to come back :) instead of staying home (say what?!). Happy daughter, Happy Momma. Wish I could give you 10 stars. read more

We sent our daughter Mia to Bright Horizons for a couple of months (we have to move later), but the experience was just fabulous. This was Mia's first daycare, but the transition was easier than expected. I think the instructor Shay and Miss Mabel helped make this home to daycare transition smoother. Also, she was treated really nice by everyone (talked to her and smiled at her in the hall way). And one of her favorite person was Hannan, Mia smiled at her on the first day. She started to think that's her place. :) The place was clean and organized. They were out twice every day. We can tell her change, she was more sociable and explorable. Both of my daughters have gone through Bright Horizons centers and we have nothing but good things to say about the schools, teachers and play based educational philosophy. The staff have always been warm and helpful towards myself and my children. It speaks volumes when the kiddos actually want to go to school each morning. I know they are cared for and safe when they are at Bright Horizons. Yes, the tuition is higher. But the company does make the effort to pay teachers and staff competitive waves with great benefits. There is also an importance placed on furthering the teachers training and education. This is the kind of company I want to support. Thank you to all of the Leadership Team who have always greeted my family with a smile and by name and thank you to the teachers who made my toddlers transition into group care such a positive experience. read more

Before placing either of our kids with BH, I visited their intended classrooms for extended periods of time on my own, without my own children being there. I loitered quietly in a corner of the classroom with a book to occupy myself for for one or two period(s) of 2-4 hours each. Having spent upwards of 10 hours observing classroom dynamics, I believe I have a pretty good feel for the general vibe of a typical BH classroom. My expectations were high and they were satisfactorily met. Our younger child enrolled at BH-Redmond at about age 3 after moving from a different BH program located out of state (which we used from age 11 mos). Our older child also attended a BH program (out of state) from 18 mos through pre-K. Throughout my 7 years of experience, I have always been happy with BH and have virtually no complaints. In my experience, they have well-qualified, competent, conscientious, and kind staff; low staff turnover; good safety and health procedures; excellent communication with parents; pleasant facilities; and a fun, age-appropriate, and educational curriculum. The food service at BH-Redmond is very nice... healthful, varied, and tasty. The outdoor play spaces at BH-Redmond are merely satisfactory (IMO). In all other respects, BH-Redmond exceeds my expectations. I believe I'm a better parent, thanks to BH, in that I've adopted some of BH's ways for my own parenting toolbox. (Full disclosure... I don't have much knowledge of infant care--just toddlers through pre-K--because I declined to enroll until my children were walking, or nearly ready to walk... believing that non-mobile infants benefit so much from 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 care.) read more

Reviews say it all!!! Stay away from BH-Redmond! This center looks good on paper (as well as the tour they take u through). But you ll eventually know they are just money minded and look to extract every penny possible while they can. Coming to my son's term at this center, problems began right from day 1. My son got sick (kinda expected, but wait he got sicker and sicker). He went probably a couple of days and we didn't send him for rest of the week as he became so weak. And the next week he got better and we sent him again. Now this time he came back with Hand Foot and Mouth. And the center staff was so sure that my son was the first one. I read their notice sent to everyone which said like this - 'you can send your child to the care until the Hand Foot and Mouth rashes are present for more than a week' - wait that's too late to confirm the disease- aren't they contagious from Day1? Now you know why this center is spreading sickness for free. And when we asked about this, you know what they had said - 'this is our policy'. Ok, coming to the teachers, they hardly smiled or greeted the children or parents. We complained about this in the first week and nothing changed. Probably its their policy too. Finally we told them within 10 days since our child was in the care that we are stopping him as he has suffered a lot in the past 10 days, lost weight, ear infected, throat swollen, rashes and what not... And you know what the center staff replied with - 'Ok, we need a 30-day notice so please pay the balance'. That was sweet to hear, right. We already paid for 30 days when we started. And they demanded the extra 10 days inspite of well understanding our situation, the pain and distress we had gone through messing up with our personal and professional life. Again as usual 'this is our policy' song played by everyone in the center when asked for a refund. I just gave up disgustingly with the attitude of the people there which cared nothing about the service and all about money and the policy around making money. I coughed up the check for those extra 10 days on top of what we paid them for the future - I hope they were happy. I ve seen other Bright Horizons, especially in DT Bellevue and the Northup way one. Those centers seem to feel like they run it with a passion for what they do, children seemed happier and staff too. They are relatively small and may be thats why it works well there? I definitely like Bright Horizons when it comes to curriculum, security, etc., But this center seems to be on the other end of the spectrum in the BH chain of centers. When the reviews were so bad particularlu for this Redmond center, I should have given a second thought about it. Now I realize that I am not the first one and there were quite a bunch of unhappy parents who have made the same mistake. read more

My 2 school age children (7 and 9) have been really enjoying the school's out summer camp program! They have been learning so much while having fun and going on field trips. I see them interacting with other children and making new friends when playing games and doing various projects and activities. They also have been enjoying all the food and trying new things! All of the teachers have been wonderful! read more

I submitted an application for about 2 months and during the period of time, I made at least 3 phone calls to follow up and left voice mails asking them to call back. None of them got through and I never get any call backs. I also visited them 3 times but did not get anything out. This is how they treat their customers and I don't feel that I am paying money for a service. The last time I was there, their attitude was arrogant and did not feel any sorry of ignoring us. It's like, if you want to apply, just wait, if you don't want to apply, take your stuff and go home! Strongly not recommended this piece of shit. read more

They are doing an excellent job with kids! We have been with BH for 3 years now and the level of care is great. I see that my son is learning a lot in the environment of curiosity and play. Backup care is great too. Especially in a pandemic situation, I feel my son was safe there. We loved it so much that decided to come back full time. read more

As a parent I don't know how people pay so much for this place. We were here briefly. My daughter attended preschool for a month here. Her teachers were riannon and Cini. Riannon is the head of preschool department. And God only knows how she got the title. She is the most unfriendly teacher to the parents. She doesn't care for the children. My daughter kept wishing her goodbye miss riannon. And she wouldn't even look at my poor baby!! I got so annoyed that i called put to her so she could at least acknowledge my child!! Even then her response was super lame and I don't care attitude. She is always just in the class in some corner and she would never ever greet you. She is in the front desk manier times and she still wont smile at anyone. She just has a problem with smiling!!! Rude is the term. She needs the teacher training again. If I'm Paying this amount I want to be treated with a friendly attitude!! There are other teachers who are very very nice. But unfortunately my daughter was pur in this shitty class. . The student teacher ratio is super high and they clearly are not being to manage. Even after charging 2100$ for one child they don't put less children in each class. read more

As a mother of two, I can't express how happy we are and have been at BH Redmond for the last year or two. I get the same experience everyday, a smile from the wonderful ladies at the front desk and from my children's teachers who we adore. I know I can drop my children off and get through my work day with ease. The best part? Getting the photos throughout the day! There has been once or twice where I know my kiddo had a rough morning and drop off and I've been called just a few minutes after leaving with reassurance that they're doing okay and are having fun in class. It also makes me happy knowing that they're getting nutritious meals as well and not any junk food. We love Bright Horizons at Redmond!! read more

We came here for a visit as my wife and I are expecting and had a wonderful tour with Jasna. She answered all our questions and we left knowing that this place was where we wanted our daughter to go andI could not be more excited at the prospect of our daughter going here. I loved that they had infant playgrounds connected to the classrooms so that my kid could go outside. When we came in we saw some other children in the buggy's and they looked so happy and excited to go outside. Loved that the teachers were singing to the kids and talking to them as they went down the hallways to go outside. Our daughter has been in this daycare since she was 5 months. I was initially doubtful about this daycare, with the booties you have to put on and the gloves some caregiver use to change the babies I was very scared that it would not be a warm environment for her. In their long registration form on education philosophy, I just wrote "cuddle and love her". However, after a few weeks there, spending my lunch time in her class (=coming at various unannounced other times), I really witnessed how much her caregivers were sweet and giving her ton of attention. Infant class has a 1:4 teacher infant ratio and babies sleep a lot, so she really had much 1:1 time and I found that she bonded real fast to her caregivers there. I rarely came without her being held by a teacher or enjoyed a group activity. After spending several times in back-up care options when traveling that were far less picky about entering in the room with shoes or lousy with cleaning up the changing table after each change, and our baby getting some various fungus and viruses, I also realized that the booties and gloves are indeed important given the proximity of all these kids and germs and they do not mean less cuddle there are still plenty of hugs and kisses happening !!!! We also developed a strong bond with the caregiver and she gave us tons of life-saving advice to help our daughter with mild discomforts (like teething or diaper rash). When our second was born, he went into the same class and with the same caregiver. This is just awesome that the director tries to accommodate our preferences. It is so difficult to develop a relationship with new caregivers, as great as they could be, I really appreciate the effort spent in helping us feel comfortable. Our daughter is now in preschool and our son in toddler class. We know pretty much everyone in the center and they are friendly and helpful. We did have an issue of a primary teacher leaving earlier this year (our first issue in our 3 years at BH) and it was difficult to find adequate replacement. However, I must say that the management really did an impressive job and recruited a terrific new teacher. They did not yield to parent pressure to hire the first person they could, but instead, pursue interviews until they found the right person. We are now so happy with the new teacher. Concerning the educational program, I found the teachers truly amazing. They care about developing fun educational activities, they share them with us so we can do some at home. Most important they take pics and send email about the day!!! So i really feel that I know what my kids are doing when I am not there. A last note is about the food, which was one of my priorities when looking for a care option (I am french after all :-D ). Their menu is awesome with fresh fruits and veggies. Not so easy to find in other daycare options. They do have bunch of crackers and other stuffs that kids love but that are not so good for them. So they dont miss out on this but it is very well balanced with healthy snacks!!! To sum up, we love it there, I feel people do care and love the kids, which is key when they are at younger age. Ratio is great, teacher turnover is real low. Food is good. Toys are new and rotate in classes. It is clean and staff is mindful of washing up toys/hands/surfaces etc. Staffs are well educated and do their best to provide educational activities. Love it. read more

Out of all the childcare's we have seen throughout the years this is one of the best I've seen. My granddaughter goes here and she loves it! The teachers are so friendly and loving, so is the administration. We went to the harvest festival yesterday and it was such a great time. I highly recommend this daycare center. I've had two daughters at Bright Horizons since 2005. My oldest graduated from the very first pre-school and pre-K classes at this facility. My youngest is still there in pre-school. We've been through the growing pains with them and they really do care about the children, trying to minimize the disruption to their routines as they changed locations and expanded. The center is not perfect, but here are some things our family really likes about it: 1. The teachers are wonderful. Not every teacher, but a vast majority are excellent at their jobs and genuinely care about each and every one of their kids. That goes a LONG way in my book. 2. Problems that I've brought to the attention of the administrators and/or teachers are quickly addressed. Anything from "my daughter hasn't been eating well this week" to "this teacher doesn't seem like a good fit for our room". I have been fully satisfied with how issues have been dealt with both in a professional and caring manner (towards the children). 3. There is now a parent partnership group that parents can join if they want to be more involved. It's a great way to get your voice heard and be involved/knowledgeable about what's going on around the center. 4. The have enrichment classes such as dance, art, tumblebus, yoga, playball, etc. My daughters have tried them all. It's a good opportunity for them to be involved in vender-provided classes without me having to leave work early, pick them up, and frantically try to get them somewhere else for an hour class. 5. World at Their Fingertips - a constantly changing curriculum that is tailored to each class's interests. I don't actually know how formal this curriculum is supposed to be. What i do know is that I see the teachers taking advantage of daily teaching moments to help teach the kids about manners, treating others right, and good social skills in addition to things like counting, math, logical reasoning, etc. Also, the Handwriting Without Tears is a great way to introduce writing to little ones. My older daughter is in public school now and this prepared her so well for the challenges of first grade reading/writing. 6. Field trips - what a treat for the young ones to get the opportunity at 2+ and pre-school age to go on field trips! Some things I wish were different: 1. Expensive - this is one of the most expensive places I looked at. We chose it because we thought it fit our needs the best and it was conveniently close to work. However, there are less expensive options out there. You have to decide for yourself if this is worth it for your family. 2. Menus - The center recently changed chefs. I have yet to determine if this one will be much better than the previous one. The menus are nutritious but not necessarily things that my daughter likes. She eats but not always really well. I don't think she's that picky so I imagine other families are going to have this same feedback as well. 3. Communication - Since the inception of the Parent Partnership Group, I think the communication from the center to parents has gotten better but there's still room for improvement. Advanced notice of changes to teaching staff, transitions, etc. are important to families since change is always hard. read more

I had a very bad experience in bright horizon REDMOND center. My baby had loose poopoo, they asked me to get dr approval otherwise we can't go to daycare in 24 hours. the baby was totally fine, we dropped off the second day w.o. dr notes, they called me around lunch time, they said I have to pick up my kid immediately, I was told I was violet their policy! I asked why nobody prevent leaving baby in the center in the morning? they avoid this question, repeated 'you violet policy several times' on the phone, the director yelled to me on the phone, I was a paid customer, I paid $2820 every month, director yell to their client???? They are very close to Microsoft, they are doing Microsoft business, they don't care about service quality, and reputation. read more

This location definitely has some challenges. Most of the staff always look unhappy. They don't care for the kids, they just want to make it through the day. I don't understand why. We pay them higher tuition than other daycares. In the middle of the year they took away the 9:30am snack time. So your kid has nothing to eat for 3 hours. Most programs offer 9:30 snack times. If you speak up about care issues, the teachers snap at you. Not a good place. read more

I have nothing but praise for Bright Horizons-- My son began at Bright Horizons in May 2013 (attends on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays) and my husband and I have seen great progress. Bright Horizons has been very helpful in getting my son comfortable with making new friends and teachers since we had recently moved to Washington. I was happy that my son and I were able to "observe" his soon-to-be class a few times before his first day. His teachers were so helpful in answering all my questions and concerns and they always made every attempt to make sure my son was involved and felt comfortable with everyone in the class. I felt very comfortable with the entire Bright Horizons staff and am thankful we found Bright Horizons after we moved here. The leadership staff do seem to care what the parents say and encourage involvement via Parent Partnership Group. All the teachers I meet always are hands-on and has a smile on their face. This is very contagious because I have seen my son pick up some of this positive mannerism :) What has been a very helpful resource to me are the BH Newsletters. The items posted seem very appropriate (i.e. what to take when on a roadtrip, how to deal when your child is lying, etc). I have found myself applying some of these tips with my son and sharing with my friends who have kids. Lastly, my son, husband, and I have enjoyed the school get-togethers that were held. This was a great way for us to get to know the staff away from school and have fun. Thank you guys for being so well-rounded and always open for suggestions. Thank you Bright Horizons for helping my son blossom and continue to. You guys are wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great educational center to send your child to. This review is mainly about Mrs Milka, also for Bright Horizons management. When my kid enrolled for 1 year old class, Milka was the teacher for that class. I thought Bright Horizons charges over $2500 a month, it should be good. I was wrong. The key problem is the teachers didn't have any love in their hearts. I saw Milka put a crying kid down to the floor rudely and let the kid crying loudly and walk out simply because it's her break time. She could hand the kid over to another teacher, but she didn't. The first few weeks for my kid in daycare was very challenging. Milka and Bright Horizons' theory is to let the kids cry and did very little to comfort the kid. They even locked my kid in a little dark room during nap time because the crying. Bright Horizons supposed to provide lunch. However if your 1 year old can't each by themselves, they will be starving for the whole day. We eventually dropped from Bright Horizons since my kid got sick badly. It's no surprise that the kids will be sick if they keep crying, starving and lock into a dark room. I gave this review because my younger kid recently enrolled in another daycare. The experience is totally different. Way better!!! I feel I own my older one an apology since I put her into Bright Horizons. I don't want other parents go through the same horrible experience. I don't understand the couple of recent poor reviews here and wanted to ensure others knew about the great experience that is available at Bright Horizons Redmond. Our family has been with Bright Horizons Redmond center for over 6 years, with our son progressing from the infant room through kindergarten prep and now our daughter who is in toddlers. The community this center fosters is helpful in socializing and shaping the children as well as building a support network for parents. We appreciate the curriculum which is age and development appropriate. Our son is the youngest in his 1st grade class, but continues to excel due to the foundation this center provided. While we had the choice to go to other day care centers, the attention to detail, safety, learning and caring has made it easy to come back year after year. Additionally, the staff at this center loves what they do and it shows in the love they have for the kids. On Monday mornings when I drop off my child, I breathe a sigh of relief knowing they are in capable, caring and loving hands which allows me to focus elsewhere for a few hours. It is the best of both worlds. read more

Our son has been a Bright Horizons at Redmond for almost a year now, and we absolutely love it. He started in the infant room and recently transitioned to the toddler room, and both experiences have been great. We did experience turnover in the infant room when we'd only been there a couple of months, and with both teachers leaving within just a few weeks of each other, it was hard. But we brought our concerns to center leadership, and they scheduled a conference where we talked through our concerns and they gave us updates on the plan to replace the teachers. And honestly, we were much happier with the two teachers who ended up taking care of our son the rest of his time in the infant room. They were wonderful, incredibly caring people, and our son just loves them. He still visits them when we walk by on our way to his toddler room. His toddler teachers are wonderful, and our son is having a great time and learning all sorts of new things. From what I hear from my friends who have children in other day care centers, teacher turnover is pretty common in this industry. I do think that Bright Horizons hires really smart, engaged people, and I've always been impressed with the "all hands on deck" mentality at our center. Every employee is engaged with the kids, no matter what their position is. Everyone knows our son's name, even as big as the center is. Center leadership has been consistently responsive to any questions or concerns we've had, and they genuinely care about making the center a better and more welcoming place. There is an engaged Parent Partnership Group as well if parents want to become more involved. Leaving your child (especially an infant) in anyone's care is scary and stressful, but I've never doubted that my son was loved and hugged and engaged during his days at this center. He's learned an incredible amount and absolutely loves coming to school every day. I think the parents at this center (my family included) can be a pretty tough-to-please crowd, so I have to say I'm impressed by how many families I meet who express how much they love it here. read more

My son has attended BH Redmond for 8 months in the infant room. His teachers: Linda, Shyamali and Mitka were incredibly caring. He was always very happy there and you could see a true connection between him and his teachers particularly Linda. Communication with parents was also great. I have no complains whatsoever for the care and attention provided to my son but I had to remove a star because of the high price which made us have to change daycare. read more

Our daughter has attended Bright Horizons in Redmond (next to Microsoft) for right at almost a year now. She started there when she was 6 months old after we relocated to the area. While we were reluctant to go with a "big" daycare, we have been nothing but satisfied with the entire experience. We have always been thoroughly impressed with how all of the children are treated, how strong the educational program is, the cleanliness of the facility and how involved we are allowed to be in the process of her education. We also love that they strive to feed very nutritional, in season foods and organic wherever possible. We would highly recommend Bright Horizon to any parent who truly cares about the raising of their child. read more

In my view, Bright Horizons in Redmond is as good as it gets. Just a couple of feel-good things: every teacher there seems to knows every child's name and greets them with a smile in the morning, and every teacher shows happiness when they interact with a child, particularly if the child gives a goodbye hug. I have only seen excellent attachment by children to their care providers. The center provides great learning experiences every day, including both indoor and outdoor activities. They provide detailed lesson plans every week, as well as details of the child's day every day. Art classes, music classes, and physical fitness classes are all available. Furthermore, they teach children the appropriate ways to interact with others. I was extremely happy with how well my child did when he went to his first soccer practice, and I feel confident in saying that it was because he was taught good group behavior at Bright Horizons. They also teach the proper way to respond when a child does not show respect; a child is encouraged to use words rather than to respond with disrespect. Finally, the children are provided with healthful snacks and meals throughout the day. It is a really helpful benefit included in the tuition. You can feel confident that your children are receiving a balanced diet while at Bright Horizons. Snacks are fruits and vegetables (and sometimes crackers). Breakfast is whole grains, lean protein (egg/turkey), and fruit. Lunch is lean protein (chicken, turkey) and vegetables. Bright Horizons also does an excellent job of accommodating dietary needs if you prefer. A quick side note: I have never seen or heard anything consistent with what Anne L. has said. The one time that we provided feedback to the center director about a teacher, it was met with a positive response, and the director provided an update as to how the feedback was delivered and heard by the teacher. Second, Children moving rooms is common to ensure the proper child/teacher ratio (for infants, it's 4:1), and our children always responded to the new room without issue. Finally, I cannot speak to the circumstances under which Bright Horizons threw away breast milk and diapers, but I know that they have extremely strict policies about storing milk. For example, milk left in the fridge overnight is thrown out because there is no way to verify that the fridge did not stop working while the center was closed, and therefore running the risk of the milk going bad. While it is tragic when breast milk is thrown out, I would prefer that my daycare be better safe than sorry. read more

Teachers and the leadership team are always there with smiles and helping hands (which who doesn't need with juggling kiddos and all their stuff!). The worst daycare center in Redmond area. We enrolled our kid when he was 14 mo old (his teacher was good), later he was transitioned to toddler classroom (and the worst teachers I have seen/heard about). They proudly say, they provide milk 2 times a day (but has anyone cared to check out the quantity of milk?? I had been there a couple of times, to check on my kid, and its less than 1/2 a cup, and if the kids spill the milk by mistake, that kid goes without drinking milk that day, and parents assume they have had enough milk in daycare). We finally planned to dis-enroll our kid from this center and move to a different preschool (when he was 3yrs), the frustrating part is, once they came to know we were quitting, they kept moving our son from classroom to classroom (without notifying us), and when questioned why they were moving him around so much, they said they have too many kids - really??? as per law they are supposed to have 12 kids in a classroom (for toddlers), and what the hell is happening here. I'm glad we are moving our kid from the horrible/worst daycare center and NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY TAKE. The only reason for us to stay with this center was BECAUSE they provide "food"; but we have decided we will never be sending our 2nd child here (especially to the Redmond center) read more

After working at a few different childcare centers, I have come to really appreciate the way Bright Horizons takes care of its employees and customers. The children are the focus, and an emphasis is made on child-directed learning. Teachers are actively engaging children in fun learning activities on a daily basis. Bright Horizons as a company values furthering education. With that in mind, they provide many opportunities for training and growth. The leadership at this center seem to really care about the individual employees and the families we care for. When challenges come up, as happens in any field, the focus is on finding a solution that works for everyone. The employees are friendly, usually willing to lend a hand when needed and always asking how the day is going. read more

My son was in the infant room at this Bright Horizons center for two months before we found a new center for him. We had looked at other Bright Horizons and assumed they were all the same, so when we got a space in this one, we took it. I always had a bad feeling leaving my son there, and one of the teachers in his room told me they tried not to hold the babies very much, because they got "addicted" to it. When I went to talk to one of the center directors, she denied that this was possible and implied that none of what I was telling her could actually be happening. After we gave our 30 days notice, the quality of his care went down further - they moved him to other rooms without telling me, threw away entire bottles of breast milk and clean diapers, and were completely unapologetic. When the center director came back from maternity leave, they moved my son to another room every day her baby was there so he could have his spot in the "nicer" room. If you want your baby to be held and cuddled, and have a consistent experience so he can securely attach to his care providers, I'd recommend shopping around for a different center. read more
