LWTG has been a game-changer for us and has influenced every aspect of how we parent and connect with our kids. I have been going to toddler group for 2 years and it is such a welcome time in my week! I get to spend two hours of uninterrupted time with my son and do activities that we would never do at home. He learns how to socialize, follow a routine and take commands from other adults, and it is all play based! They also include weekend activities for the kids and parents, educational lectures and discussions and family fun events. I am very happy I joined! read more

My son has thrived at LWTG! We started in the youngest class when he had just turned one, and it has been so fun to watch him grow in this program. The classes are thoughtfully designed according to the developmental levels of the students (we're now doing more art projects than at the beginning of the year), and the teachers are so knowledgeable and friendly. We've really enjoyed the bonus experiences offered throughout the year as well (panel on nutrition, puppet show, exclusive Caspar Babypants concert, just to name a few!). We love Lake Washington Toddler Group. My son got to go for two years but now he's aging out. The best part about it is how involved the teachers are with all the parents and children. Each class can accommodate up to 18 kids and the teachers will usually know you and your child by name within the first few weeks. They genuinely care about you, your child and your well being. They are very accessible and will answer any questions or concerns you have. It's a great community feel when you get to know the other parents. We have made some great friendships over the last two years and will be sad when we have to move on. Highly recommend LWTG. read more

We love LWTG and look forward to our class every week! My 2.5yo daughter LOVES Teacher Kym and talks about class all week long! It is a clean and welcoming environment for all children. The toys/activities get switched out every couple of weeks and every week there are new art projects that the children have the opportunity to try. It is definitely a play-based environment and the co-op model is perfect for us. We were new this school year and I am so glad that we found this place. It gave both of us the perfect pre-preschool foundation and we will go into next year's co-op prepared and ready to go! read more

My kids love this place. I am in a sibling class where both kids can attend at the same time. I enjoy the parent education portion of our weekly class and the opportunity to participate in the school board. The "outside activities" are lots of fun as well. Last night's annual "Pajama Night" was a private concert with Caspar Babypants! We will be coming back next year for sure. read more

LWTG has a special place in my heart and I would recommend to all parents. My first two kids were a year a part and a lot of days were pretty overwhelming for me as a new SAHM. Mondays were not though because I knew I would get to go to LWTG that afternoon with my kids. That year we had Teacher Kim who is all kinds of spunky and fun. Fast forward a few years and I now attend with my third child who just turned two. Now we have Teacher Kris who is so sweet and easy to talk to. This class is a gift to the kids because they get to come do all age appropriate activities and they get to practice playing with other kids their age. This class is a gift to the parents because everything is set up (art tables, sensory table, water table, the list goes on, and they are constantly changing themes so it never gets boring), you just get to show up and let your kid has fun and wear themselves out for a great nap afterwards. Adults have the opportunity to talk and connect with other parents who are in the same stage as you in a casual environment. read more

We love LWTG! This is our first year attending and my toddler has loved it. Every Monday my little girl knows exactly where we're going and gets excited. Teacher Amy is kind and patient. You can tell that all the kids love and trust her when they leave their parent's laps during song time to sit in hers. I was amazed at how quickly Elora picked up lyrics and hand motions from songs! She regularly asks to sing them at home. The toys are kept clean and in good condition. The play areas are changed around regularly and we love the themed play area (the store with cash registers is our favorite so far). All the mother's that have been in my class have been very welcoming and friendly. We take joy in sharing recipes and parenting advice/issues. My husband and I have particularly enjoyed the after-hours talks and seminars that LWTG holds. The Preschool talk and fair were especially informative. We're now expecting baby number 2 and can't wait to bring the new addition along to the fall classes in September! read more

We love LWTG! My older son and I have been going for the last two years and next year, I plan to take my younger one too! The toys keep getting rotated, so there is always something new. There are different art and craft activities for each class. My kiddo loves the sensory play areas the best - the water table and rice table. There is a parent ed component too that I really enjoy. And it's always nice to connect with other parents and see the children interact. And they host a bunch of speaker events for adults as well as some concerts and things for the kids. read more

I'm new to parenting and found out about this co-op literally the day before tuition was due. I was very fortunate to be able to get enrolled here with my toddler. There's a review before mine and I remember that yelper being in my class. I tried conversing with her and she didn't care to talk. Her daughter was having a great time and I'm sad to see that she quit going over a personal issue! We attend this toddler group and it is a great fit for our family. Teacher Kris is the bomb! Their slide and songs are a big hit with my 1yo. In looking to begin a 2yo program/preschool I gave up on finding anything better and am excited to register for next year again! We have been a part of Lake Washington Toddler Group (the Kirkland location) for two years now. We love it! It is especially great during the colder weather months when we aren't getting out of the house as much. LWTG gives my children an outlet to run around, climb and play with other kids their age, and experience new activities each week that I wouldn't have thought of doing myself. Each week consists of open play time with tons of different stations excellent for toddler developmental growth: sensory table, play doh table, quiet reading area, an art project section with a new art project each week as well as a painting station, circle time with songs and (sometimes)dancing, and snack time. All of the teachers are kind and gentle, and are experts in all areas of toddler development. Ask them a question about behavioral issues, potty training, language development, or any other toddler-related topic, and they are guaranteed to share some ideas and advice you hadn't thought of before. Likewise, every other week parents take turns having a short circle time of their own in the classroom, in which they can share positive experiences or challenges they are having with their little ones. There are so many weeks when I have picked up a great tip from another parent to try with my little guy. I have also developed some friendships with other parents through this group. I am a stay-at-home mom and one of the first of my friends to have children, so it was a lovely surprise to befriend some other moms and dads with kids my age. A few of the administrative things I like: * This toddler group offers many different class time options, including an early evening class for parents who work, or for other reasons are unable to go during the day. * They also have a wonderful baby class, so don't let their business name fool you! It's not just for toddlers! * When I was researching other coops in the area, I found LWTG to be the most convenient for my family due to a few factors: they have extremely reasonable fundraising expectations (raise or donate only $35 during the school year), they permit younger siblings to attend class (so I didn't have to hire a nanny or babysitter for my baby); reasonable tuition costs; reasonable expectations on the number of coop events that parents are required to attend. And while I'm on the topic of parent events... They offer so many great events for parents (you can pick and choose which ones you attend). Some of my favorites include: private (open only to LWTG families) Caspar Babypants concert, potty training information night, preschool information night, family pumpkin patch day, toddler dance party night, and they have tons of informational speakers throughout the year on a variety of topics (such as, Kindergarten readiness, safety issues, nutritional speaker, and lots more). Their events are listed on the calendar on their website if you're interested in learning more. I cannot speak highly enough about Lake Washington Toddler Group. My favorite activity I've done with both of my kids! My daughter went here 2 years ago and is now at Kirkland Co Op (another fantastic school!) and I loved my experience at LWTG with her so much, that I now go every Monday with my 2.5 year old son. For both of my kids this place has been our "special one-on-one time" each week. I love the parent education that they provide, the sense of community you get with other parents and to be able to watch my child grow socially. Toddler Group day is my son's favorite day of the week. We've been attending for the last 2 years and adore the space and the teachers. For me, it's a great way to get out of the house and to involve my toddler in activities that I'd rather not set-up at home (i.e messy paints, water tables, rice). We love LWTG! Both my kids attended when they were 1-2 years old and it's a great transition from baby groups to preschool. The activities are age appropriate and the parents can mingle while the kids are playing. There is structure with dedicated play/art time, snack time, singing, and bubbles. I like that there is a lot of variety of activities from art to science to imaginary play and they change it every week to keep it fun. This is our first year at LWTG. The teachers make exploring, learning and confidence building simple and enjoyable for your child. Every week there is a new "theme" but with the same routine so it's comfortable for your child and allows them to experience new things. Circle time and learning new songs seemed favorable for a lot of kids. I think the biggest take away is the confidence building for your child. Also, they are great at communicating. Now I am taking my one-year-old daughter to toddler class, and am just as happy with the teachers and other parents. LWTG is fantastic! I'm attending now with my second daughter after aging-out with my older daughter several years ago. I'm so happy to be back and to be able to give my younger daughter the same fun experience that her older sister had. LWTG is a great place for toddlers to explore different types of activities and toys as well as getting some social interaction with other kids. I love watching my little one find a new part of the room, or try something new like painting for the first time. With all the different play areas, there is something for everyone, and I think it's a great way to see what your child might like that you didn't expect. Both my girls have loved the sensory (rice, lentils, etc) table and I'm so glad it's not in my house :) Even the second time around the parent education discussions have been informative and interesting - always something new to learn about parenting! The teachers are wonderful and terrific with toddlers and parents alike. There is also the benefit of getting to know other parents with kids around the same age. They have lots of crafts, activities and fun toys for the kids but I didn't like how "cliquy" and unwelcoming the moms were. They would all huddle around and have social hour instead of interacting with the children like they were suppose to, which was stated in the rule book. I didn't like the vibes I received while attending there, needless to say I was glad when the Fall quarter was over and quickly withdrew. But from a perspective of a child, it's a very fun place. read more

It's a great opportunity for her to socialize, play with developmentally-appropriate things (that rotate regularly) and get exposure to new things...namely messy art projects that I don't want to do at home. Thursday is my favorite day of the week with my son because it's LWTG day! He is 2 and he LOVES it! I started going 2 years ago with my older daughter (who was 2 when we started) and then brought my son along after he was born. I took my daughter until she aged out of the program. Next school year I will take my son and our new baby who is due this Spring. So basically I have taken kids newborn through almost 4 years old and they were very enriched by the program. We love LWTG because it is a welcoming place, with educated teachers, involved parents, and endless fun for the kids. There are play structures, art projects, imaginative play toys, songs and dancing, snack, and more. Each week there is also a "Parent Education" component where parents sit together with the teacher and discuss a relevant topic (all right in the large play area where you can see your kids and they can come and sit with you if they want a break from playing). I highly recommend LWTG and will continue to go there many years to come. read more

We have really enjoyed LWTG this year! I started this fall with my 18 month and he loves all the activities the facility has to offer. It's great because there are resources, art projects, and toys here that we don't have at home. Our teacher changes up centers around the room, so the toddlers are always discovering new things.
