Had them make some custom name badges for a costume. Turned out great. Price and turn time was reasonable.

Have recently ordered two medal displays from here, after hearing about the company on running…read moreblogs and at race expos. The first medal hanger I purchased was the "Always Earned, Never Given" 30" single bar with a male runner figure for my boyfriend's birthday present -- medals for wrestling, obstacle races/mud runs, and road races. This was a design as-is, no customization, and the online order process was a breeze. When I needed shipping address info corrected, Joel was able to relay it to FedEx and the delay was not noticeable at all! My second order was a custom design for myself. I really liked the "Cityscapes" line of hanger designs they offer for most major U.S. cities, but wanted something more personalized, representing Sacramento. E-mail correspondence took a little over a week; Joel and his graphic designer were able to draft up a few versions based on what I had in mind and always asked for my approval along the way. My original vison was more wordy, but the end result is simpler and clean. After creating the design (days or weeks depending how busy they are), the actual production takes a few days. Payment is easy via PayPal, and shipping is through FedEx (pretty quick from WA to CA). I ended up with a 24" triple bar hanger, since I have a little over 30 medals already but capacity should hold anywhere from 45-60 eventually. I'll add a photo once it arrives! The Sacramento skyline is now available as a standard option on the website, and can be found at the following link: https://www.medalhangers.com/view/586/Sacramento-Cityscape- (mine was customized to include the female running figure).

If you run a lot of marathons, half marathons, ultra marathons, and even IronMan triathlons, you…read morecertainly get a lot of finisher medals for completing them. What do you do with them? Put them in a shoe box? No way! Most marathoner friends of mine have pointed me to get my medal display here at Allied Steel Medal Displays. I've been told beforehand that they do great work. Plus, these medal displays were pretty awesome anyway. I had held off an buying one during my 50 states marathon quest for fear that it may be a jinx from finishing all 50 states. Now that I had officially finished it, albeit 3 months removed, it was a perfect opportunity to look into this great investment and to remember the great journey that I had embarked on since 2009. They are a small family business, so supporting local means a lot here. While not the cheapest, the craftsmanship and the work that they do here to make these medal displays are invaluable and provide a great service to the running and triathlete community. I particularly liked their website and how they catered to the Marathon Maniacs club as well. I may be ordering more in the coming months to display all my bling. Allied Medal Displays is located in Redmond, WA. While they do local pick up, most of their orders need to be shipped. They typically use USPS and Fedex, but prefer that they use Fedex. For my order, I opted to use Fedex, which was about $20 more versus USPS in just shipping costs alone, but when you ship something to Hawaii, it does get pricey and dicey. I consider that an investment. They accept payments via credit cards on PayPal, so that was nice. I ordered a customized medal display, which added on from the 50 States 50 marathons medal display already. The customization add on was $10 and it was definitely affordable! Nice to have that little reminder that I have done this grand adventure from Hawaii. Not an easy thing to do, physically and financially. :) The communication with Joel was great. The timing was kind of off, considering that I had started the ordering process ahead of MLK Jr. Holiday weekend 2015, but they were able to make it and ship it the day after MLK on Fedex and it arrived 3 days later. The medal display is stainless steel and definitely well worth the expense. While not cheap, they are well worth the accomplishment you have put your mind and body through 26.2, 13.1, and any other distance you can get finisher medals for. They do have a website and have a wealth of medal displays to choose from. They do customization, so just email them for what you want and they'll accommodate you as best that they can. Allied medal displays do great work. I will definitely recommend them, if you need a medal display to commemorate you achievements. Race more! Support local! A+
