I was devastated when an award I received for work fell off the wall and broke. I went in last minute to try to get a couple of neck ribbons for "medals" that we were giving out at our holiday party this evening. They had exactly what I was looking for (thicker width, dark blue color) and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Super friendly and helpful - Chris F even ironed them for me because he thought they were a little wrinkled! Ended up not even charging me for them or even accepting some token coffee money that I offered. Recently went here for a quick embroidery addition to my jacket. If you go with a font that isn't on their list it's $150+ plus which I think is ridiculous but when you go with one of their standard fonts it's $20 so I went that route. They have enough colors that color matching was not an issue. Dropped the jacket off, maybe a week or so later I got a mock up "sew out" to see what it would look like - looked good - then waited a few more days for it to be ready. All in all got the job done for what I wanted and it did not cost much! The guys are nice enough and my dog was allowed in because he's well behaved. read more

What an AMAZING gesture. Please take a moment to read on about what Monty and his crew at Athletic Awards did for my daughter. My daughter is graduating high school this year. With the pandemic upon us, there is no formal graduation or walk to receive graduation diplomas. My daughter has accepted the fact that her graduation is simply different than her older brothers graduations. Her high school is doing a virtual graduation that will be streamed online. Students and families will be able to watch the ceremony online. Each student is submitting a photo of themselves in their cap and gown so that their photo pops up when their name is called. My daughter worked very hard in her academics, and has received cords for the school district honor society, national scholars honor society and for her volunteer work that she's done throughout her school years. She also received her "Magna Cum Laude" Medallion of Honor. Her medallion arrived without the medallion ribbon to hang the medallion around her neck. Due to timing, it wasn't possible to have the proper medallion ribbon shipped to us before the photos were due. I reached out to an online awards company and they said that they could overnight ship a ribbon to us for $34.00. I then called Athletic Awards that is located on Republican Street in Seattle. I explained the situation to Monty who is the owner. He let me know that they have the ribbons in stock and that if I wanted to drive over to their store that he has curb-side pick-up available. I drove over to purchase two different ribbons so that my my daughter could choose the one she liked best. As Monty and I chatted, me from my car with a mask on, and Monty from the sidewalk with his mask on, he said, "Here, they're yours, no need to pay for them." His generosity and empathy for my daughters situation came directly from his heart. I stopped by to see you about getting a watch engraved as a gift for my son. After inspecting the watch, they determined there was limited space to engrave but would have the engraver look at it anyway so I left the watch with them. The next day, I received a call saying that there just wasn't enough space to engrave and they apologized. There was no need for an apology, I did not expect that the limited space would be enough to engrave upon. All of this to say... I just appreciated the helpful, gracious, willing customer service both when I dropped off the watch and picked it up. Though I couldn't give them my business this time, I will definitely do so when I next have a need. read more

I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge Dave Mercer and the dedicated and professional employees of Athletic Awards. We didn't have much time to plan a swim and dive banquet this year, and I had sent Dave a list of plaques for the team only 4 days before the banquet, fully expecting that it wouldn't be enough time to make them all. Dave not only accepted the challenge, but he delivered with hours to spare! Then, I started to unwrap the plaques and discovered some were missing (not Dave's fault, I had sent a second email that just hadn't made it into the order process.) I called him after the office had closed, and he rushed back to Athletic Awards and made them on the spot! I was able to hand out all the plaques at the banquet that night. I felt what Dave did was above and beyond and his dedication was especially noteworthy. I cannot tell you how much it meant to the athletes to have those plaques in hand at the banquet. Many of them are leaving for college in the next couple of days, and that would have been their last opportunity to be recognized for all of their hard work this season. These guys are awesome. Dave has been extremely helpful with all the projects we have brought his way. They do all sort of different engraving projects. We have had them make several trophies and plaques. They have also made signs and such for our workplace. They can engrave metal and plastic (and probably other materials too). My favorite has to be our trophy for our fantasy hockey league though. Their engravers are awesome and they work with you to make sure you are happy with the final product. Stupid me, waited till the VERY last minute to purchase a corporate gift for an employee who was retiring. I called at 9 am in a panic, expecting them to tell me they couldn't accomodate my request. This place seriously delivers if you are in search of personalized awards. I use this place for work every year and they have never failed me! Customer service is their top priority and boy it helps when you're in a time crunch. I've ordered engraved clocks to plaques and have even placed my order less than a week from when I need it and they get the job done. Everyone I've talked to is very helpful and though I don't worry about the prices since it's not coming out of my wallet, I do notice that their prices are reasonable and affordable. I had driven past this place a thousand times, so it was the first place I thought of when my CEO wanted his golf trophy refurbished. It took a week to get an estimate, and when I gave the okay to go ahead, no one called me when it was "finished". I called to check and they said it was done, so I went to pick it up on my way to work and the job was half-finished. They finished up quickly, and then charged me $10 more than the estimate. Very impressive showroom, but unfortunately the service didn't back it up this time, at any point along the process. I don't think I'll be going there again. read more

I have shopped at Athletic Awards several times and have always been pleased with the quality, pricing, and the service. But my most recent customer experience truly blew me away! I ordered trophies to present at an end-of-season soccer party on Sunday. On Saturday evening, I realized I had forgotten to pick them up. Oops! My wife was NOT HAPPY. I called the number, expecting the store be closed, but the owner answered on his cell. He told me they are closed and are closed on Sunday, but he offered to come meet me at the store Sunday morning at 8AM. Totally exceeded my expectation! I had been expecting that I'd have to tell the team "sorry, but I'll get the trophies to you later." But Dave at Athletic Awards helped me go from Zero to Hero. read more

I ordered trophies to hand out to my team and they were ready in just a few days. I then forgot to pick them up and needed them for Sunday. I called on Friday and I was told that they were open 9-1 Saturday. Well....1 came and went. I called around 2:30 praying someone would answer...and they did!! I do not remember the guys name unfortunately but he was willing to go all the way back to the store even though they were already closed so I could get my trophies. Stellar experience!! I just wanted to recognize the great service received last week from Athletic Awards. My son plays select soccer and his team won their Fall League. The team captains decided on Monday morning to celebrate the achievement on Sunday and I wanted to get the kids a trophy for the occasion. The time window would have normally been short, but all the more so considering last week was Thanksgiving! I called Athletic Awards on Monday evening right before their closing time and spoke with Jerry who was super nice and welcoming. I explained that I had a small order (13 trophies) that needed to be ready by Saturday at the latest. I was bracing for bad news but instead he said he would make sure they got done in time. He explained what he needed and then I sent an email later that night. I was still a bit in disbelief, as it seemed too easy. But there really was no reason to fear. I called them Tue morning to check and at first it took them a couple minutes to find my email (so make sure you get confirmation that they received your order to be on the safe side). In the end, the result was much better than expected. I got my order first thing in the morning on Friday! Not only it was earlier than anticipated but did I mention Thursday was Thanksgiving??? To top this off, as I was picking up, I asked if, in the event that I had made a mistake, they would be able to make a single replacement and they told me that not only they would gladly make a correction but also they would not charge me for it! Now, that is well above and beyond - I had zero expectation that they would cover my own error. So what else can I say - Top level customer service.
