I got a bracelet to with my late dogs name engraved on it and it was a bit too big. The jeweler I ordered it from was a big chain and wouldn't do alterations, so I took it here to see if they could shorten it. The chain is really delicate, so they did charge me $45 so that they could put another layer of gold over it to make it a bit more sturdy. I liked that they were proactive about that and let me know! They put great deal of care into measuring my wrist and making things just right. The bracelet was ready to pickup within a week and looks even better than how I left it! It fits perfectly and I am so grateful. They also have a VERY sweet dog who roams around the shop. I had a great time with the pup while they pulled up my order and info in the back. read more

This is my favorite shop in Redmond Town Center. The owners are kind, considerate and gracious--always available during business hours to help with any jewelry-related need. It can be simple, like changing a watch battery or replacing a watch band (not something you can do easily at home). I love having ALL of my watches in working order now. For other things like heirloom jewelry (gold chains, for instance) they can help you find the right product for your needs. The in-store inventory is also impressive if you need something right away. So impressed with this place! I accidentally broke my bracelet clasp, and wanted to get it fixed at a place that I knew would fix it properly. I came to Getty Jewellers, showed them my broken bracelet, and within 2 minutes, they gave my bracelet back to me all fixed. When I asked what I owed them, they said I owed them nothing at all! The true test of excellent customer service is not when everything goes right, but when something doesn't go right. The couple who owns and runs Getty Jewelers are kind, straight-forward, and professional. While visiting family in WA, we decided to get a ring sized for me to wear. We brought the ring in 4 days before my flight left, and they graciously offered to fix it a little earlier than normal so I would be able to fly home with the ring. The day before my flight, we went into pick up the ring and found it didn't quite fit. (I was sized using a narrow band instead of wide band and apparently that can make a difference on some fingers...such as mine.) They were able to work my ring in for a second resizing, and in time for me to pick it up on the way to the airport the next day. Though the situation was less than ideal for both sides, they were accommodating and gracious throughout the ordeal. That earns a solid 5 star rating from me! read more

I love them! I bought my husband's wedding band there and they were patient with me as I was having problem's deciding. They engraved the ring for me too and it was all really affordable and less than I thought it would be. Also, I had lost a diamond in my engagement ring. Even though I didn't get the ring from there they were very accommodating, quick and reasonable when replacing it for me. The ring looks great and you would never know it was fixed. Okay, I only had a minor watch repair done: my new watch's stainless band was too large and needed to be made smaller. But the guy who works here did a great job, right on the spot, and he charged $10 (what I know the watch guy at Macy's downtown charges for this service) - and his dog, Marcus, was super! It's good to know I don't have to go downtown or pay more to get my watches serviced. read more

My now husband bought my engagement ring and wedding band at Getty Jewelers and I could not be happier. The first week I had my ring (brace yourself) THREE of the small diamonds fell out! I didn't know what to do and thought we would have to pay $$$ to get it repaired or have the diamonds replaced. I brought in my favourite necklace with a broken chain for repair. The owner lady there was friendly and a bit bossy (in a maternal sort of way...) She was totally straight-up, no BS, and matter-of-factly, which was a bit of shock. I dropped the necklace off at 1, and it was ready by 3. It cost me $16 + tax to fix the chain. (I am not sure of the going price for chain repair.) I'm happy to have my necklace back! read more

I stopped in mostly to get my watch repaired, which the jeweler did, quickly and inexpensively. While I waited, I looked around the store, as I have some jewelry I'd like to have re-set, among other things. The sales clerk never acknowledged me. Initially, she was helping two other customers, but after a while, she was simply chatting with one of them. The selection is nice, nothing exceptional. The displays are a bit rough - in need of some window dressing/polishing up. I can't speak to the prices, as they aren't posted. Brought two watches in for a simple battery change. When I picked them up, they charged what I thought was way too much for a quick and easy battery change. After I got home, I noticed that BOTH watches had scratches on the back and they clearly damaged that part of my watch. If they aren't able to do this or don't have the tools, they should just tell me so. The least they could have done would have been to tell me about it, but they didn't even have the courtesy to do that. In fact, they even were extremely unfriendly when I picked it up, which probably was a tactic to avoid me noticing their damage. Worse even, one of the watches has a little more complex way of setting the date, and they screwed it up so badly that it took another jewelry store 30 minutes to fix it afterwards. The other watch ran out of battery a week later, so I assume they must have put in a weak or old battery. This was the worst experience I ever had in a jewelry store and I can't tell you strongly enough to stay away of this place. read more

I went to Getty after reading some really awful reviews on other jewelry stores on Yelp. My girlfriend had a wedding/engagement ring combo that she inherited from her Grandmother who passed, and I wanted to clean it so I could propose. I really didn't want to just take it to the nearest shop and hope that everything worked out. Sandy did an amazing job. Right away she showed me how loose the diamond was by tapping it and moving it around. She also taught me what kind of cut it was, since they don't cut them like that anymore. After a week they gave it some new points, polished it up, and I was amazed! So was my fiancé. A week after we got engaged we went back and got it resized and polished. Very affordable and very fast turnaround time every time. You can see the jeweler working right behind the cash register so you know you're supporting a local jeweler. And yes, their Golden Retriever is adorable! read more

We showed up early and the owner unlocked the door right away for us. Once we stepped in we were greeted by their very handsome Golden Retriever Marcus. I had a ring that needed resizing and was told that it would take about 3 days. I had a party that I wanted to wear the ring to that night, and I was also flying back to TO in 2 days. The owners were very accommodating and ended up resizing my ring in just under 3 hours! :) I would definitely recommend them. They had excellent service and if you don't want to stare at your girlfriend while she looks for jewelry you can play with the dog. read more

Super dissapointed.....I took in a ring that I inherited from my deceased mother, which needed to be resized. I was told that they would cut the ring and add gold to make it bigger (my husband witnessed this conversation). She charged me $75, which I thought was a great deal. When I went to pick up the ring on the day it was supposed to be ready, it was not. I went back the next day to pick up the ring and it was very clear that they did not add anything to the ring, all they did was melt it down and stretch it. A while later, while wearing the ring, I rolled our yard waste down to the street and the ring bent into a square on my finger. They melted it down so thin that the tiniest bit of pressure bent the gold. When I went back to show them what happened she said I was too strong and gave me a quote of $300 to add more gold so that the band would be the same width all the way around like it originally was, which is what (we) thought they were going to do in the first place. She said that this amount included a $75 discount of what I had already paid. In otherwords it would actually cost $375 for what I originally wanted. I understand that gold is expensive, but I feel I was lied to and the ring is now pretty much destroyed and unwearable except for special occassions (not what I wanted). I am heartbroken about this because it was my mother's ring and I really wanted to be able to wear it on regular basis. Yes, I could have paid the extra $300, but I feel that they completely mislead me. Sounds like they are good at replacing batteries, fixing clasps and making rings smaller (they probably keep the gold), but I won't EVER shop there again for anything. You have been warned! read more

Nice local jeweler. I brought my girlfriend's necklace in to repair a broken chain. $18, and it was ready earlier than the quoted time. The items they had on display that I looked at while I waited appeared to be very nice. It is an older couple that runs the shop. That their golden retriever is a member of the staff is ingenious. I actually went to pick up the necklace sooner since I knew I could pet him! It makes the place feel a lot more relaxed and welcoming (unlike most jewelry stores where I feel more pressure to buy).
