Tried to visit someone there, but couldn't get in because the gate keypad doesn't work.

I like living here. It's nice, quiet, and sits back from the noisy traffic.

Garbage was piled up for days on end - spilling out to the hallway so you can only imagine the smell. Trash in hallways is never cleaned up. Management is useless. They will give you every excuse in the book as to why this happens. Stay away from this place. The only decent thing about this dump is the proximity to the college. It is in no way worth living at The Standard for that reason alone.

There are multiple holes a previous resident made in the doors and they half filled it. None of the facilities work. And there is a massive bug problem that they refuse to acknowledge. The building itself is very unsafe, most of the locks and parking garages are left opened or unlocked allowing anyone to be able to walk in. The mail room is a disaster and have lost/ruined multiple peoples packages. And if you have any issue with the things listed above management will make sure to do nothing. The price is ridiculous, the interior hallways are disgusting and dark, and the parking is very expensive although they refuse to ever lower or fix the gates. Also all the roads around the building are closed and there is loud construction noise 24 hours a day and this is not an exaggeration.

UPDATED from 3 months ago…read more TLDR: The front desk is poorly trained and mean as a snake. The apartments themselves are good.... I've lived in QT for a couple months now and the apartment is great. There's a big closet and a bathroom as well. The remodeled gym is great and so are the maintenance people! With all the great amenities comes the rudest front desk staff you've ever met. Allow me to give a personal anecdote. While sitting on my balcony I watched a person (non-resident) park a possibly stolen car and abandoning it (no license plate, windows busted out, etc.). After bringing it to QT's attention (telling them that the car was illegally parked, with no parking pass and it needed to be towed) I was told multiple times that they would, "get to it when they get to it". After nearly a week, I posted a picture on my Instagram story, bringing the public's attention to it, and Quarry Trail promptly towed it. It's sad that it took multiple requests and me having to go public for them to do something but alas here we are! I don't have enough characters to talk about how they try to up-charge people who are subleasing, how they are everything but kind when you have talk to the ladies at the front desk, and that they allow people to deal out of their apartment complexes. It truly is crazy how bad QT has gone down hill. I heard old legends talk about how great the staff use to be and how they did these crazy cool giveaways all the time. But those days are behind us.

After about a year of living here, the complex went under new management. That was when everything started to suck. All the posts about bugs and mold are true, and I have personally experienced a lot of problems since this year started. My roommates and I were emailed in October 2025 about the chance to move out of our non-renovated unit into a freshly renovated one and the same building for no cost. I jumped on this opportunity because it seemed like a no brainer, but I was SORELY mistaken. We were shown a beautiful unit with all new appliances/furniture/etc., and we expected our new apartment to be the same. The move-in date was changed around a lot, and then the management did not allow us to view our unit until move-in day, because they were renovating it up until the last second. Once I saw it, I immediately noticed countless problems. I notified management immediately. We were told to still move into this unit anyway, only given 3 days which happened to be during finals. To name a few of the problems, we had: 1. A non-functional water heater 2. A dishwasher not hooked up to water or installed properly 3. A washer with the hot and cold hookups switched 4. Mold in the shower 5. Mold in walls 6. Non-functional bathroom outlets 7. Closet racks that were not mounted 8. Inadequate storage in the pantry (2 shelves 6inch depth) 9. A patio door that would not lock 10. Front door would only stay shut if locked 11. Incorrect outlet covers making plugging in the Ethernet cord impossible All of these problems listed were the problems I noticed when we first moved in. The maintenance for these lasted about 3-4 weeks to fix all of them. Since then, we have experienced mold, water heater dysfunction (again), and most notably, our A/C was broken for 39 days starting in March. I live on the first floor and had to keep my window open at night just to be more comfortable, which is a security problem. At one point, our apartment was 79 degrees. My roommates and I asked for some kind of compensation for when we had none of the amenities we had in our old apartment for weeks, which we were denied. This complex makes $3000 per month from a single 3x3 unit every month, and the quality of their apartments is NOT worth the price. Let me be clear: This apartment can and does take advantage of young adults who do not have the life experience to know what they are getting themselves into. Also, the lease is airtight, so the property can avoid any kind of legal action against them, even for safety concerns and things required by TN law. It's also very costly and difficult to get out of your lease, even when you deal with these problems. If I could go back, I would have never renewed my lease and I would have happily paid more for an apartment complex that better takes care of its residents.
