A beloved neighborhood staple! Great wood-fired pizza with a delicious crust. Solid for brunch as well, with hashes and avocado toast. They reliably have a ton of seating, especially since expanding the outdoor space during COVID, with plenty of shade in the summer and a fire pit in the winter. But they do take reservations as well. And they provide free bug spray for outdoor seating! Bonus points for that. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating in my experience. Happy hour goes until 6:30, which is pretty sweet. Also, so glad that they recently added vegan cheese to the menu. It makes the whole menu super friendly to anyone who doesn't eat dairy!

One of my favorite pizza places in DC. The six shooter was delicious. I would definitely get that again, their tomato sauce is really good. The funghi was good but I would probably opt it to try something else next time. It really makes the crust stand out but it's pretty thin and delicious. I engulfed it. The drinks aren't really worth it.

I was here with a group of about 10 people for a birthday celebration and I must say the staff handled us perfectly! I got the bottomless brunch (ifnyou get more than 3 drinks is economically worth it) which was pretty decent. You have the option of partaking in all of the breakfast cocktails which is pretty cool because it doesn't limit you to mimosas. Reasons for the 4 stars: - they handled our big group really well AND offered the opportunity to split. - the space is super cute and pretty homey. Which I love - the mimosas with the bottomless brunch KEPT coming. I appreciated it. - most of the food was decent - staff was incredibly patient and the right amount of attentive This place is a little far from me, but I wouldn't be opposed to brunch at This little spot in the fut

Great service, good pizza. The garlic knots are a fantastic appetizer. We loved the Red Rocks sausage pizza and the chicken pancetta ranch pizza ( with added artichoke). The patio looks super cute, I look forward to trying it once the weather warms up.

I love love love this spot for pizza and bottomless bellinis for brunch! I've gone a few times with friends, and the pizza is so filling. They keep your glass filled, and check on you often. There's an outdoor seating area that makes you feel like you're in a backyard.

    Beets and burrata

Great for a casual brunch. The Deluxe is your typical breakfast platter, and my favorite are the hash browns which always have the perfect crisp. The pizza is okay. I always enjoy the beets and burrata, though this most recent time, it tasted off. I wish they had other coffee options for brunch (like a latte). Service is quick and attentive. The patio seating is comfortable (though bring mosquito repellant) with large umbrellas for shade. It's easy to get a seat here. The menu on the site is slightly different from the menu you get with the QR code.

My fav neighborhood pizza spot in Colombia heights!! Deff recommend! And although simple the Cesar salads are the besttttt, love the dressing

Either the gayborhood moved to Columbia Heights when I wasn't looking, or this restaurant is mysteriously a mecca for twinkie things. Not a complaint, just an observation. You won't find me complaining about a little extra calorie-free eye candy over dinner. As many others have already mentioned, the pizza rivals some of the other established pie offering in the DMV. I actually preferred the more crusty bread foundation of the pizzas here over the chewiness that 2 Amys is so well known for. Having just had Matchbox pizza for lunch, I was in a pretty decent position to compare the two and conclude that they're reasonable comparable in quality. My Toscano pizza with mozzarella, enormous and thin slices of salami, and giant juicy black olives was packed with flavor and held together well, regardless of whether I ate with fork and knife, or just picked it up with my hands. The crust was a little bit salty in a yummy sort of way - possibly brushed with olive oil and sea salt? I'm hazarding a guess on that. Priced at roughly $12, it was plenty for me; in fact, I offered a slice of mine up to a dining partner and still left completely satisfied. Plus, they offer a rockin' beer list, both draughts and bottles. It was the first time that I'd seen (and ordered) a Chimay Triple. A little bit too creamy for my taste, but yummy and intoxicating nonetheless. Anyone heard of Smuttynose before? A first for me. Can't say I'd go out of my way to return here, considering that its competition is far more geographically convenient for me, but if invited, I'd be hard-pressed to turn it down. Especially for a seat out on the little patio on a nice day. Seems like Columbia Heights warrants a little more of my personal exploration time.

Definitely a staple happy hour spot We've been here for happy hour so many times because they've got indoor and outdoor seating, they have some good drink specials and the pizza specials are interesting and good and a good size to share. Finally came here for dinner and it was definitely on par with our previous positive experiences! Have to say I have high expectations for pizza and Red Rocks really delivered! Their crust is soft and a little chewy and they don't overload it with toppings. The topping combos are also pretty unique and we haven't had a bad one yet.

This is a pretty solid pizza place. The outside seating is cute if weather allows. Service is a little slow sometimes but eh it happens. The drinks are pretty good, I've had most but the pomegranate martini bangs. The Fungi pizza is my favorite -- has a good variety of mushrooms and caramelized onions. But honestly, the shining star here is the eggplant rollatini appetizer. I know, kinda weird to say it's the best thing they offer but trust me, my friend and I rave about it all the time and make sure to get it each and every time we stop in. That goat cheese and eggplant combo is amazing. I also came here for brunch one time and they do the whole bottomless mimosa shebang so keep that in mind as well. Overall a good place - 4 stars

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Turns out that one of the owners is a Marylander, which is cool to see reflected in the decor in a place in dc, even though it is next door. They have a happy hour and they have a great variety of drinks in general. It's bring-your-own-food (BYOF) and there are a bunch of delicious looking Asian spots nearby, including upstairs. It didn't start getting crowded until closer to 10, which, as I said, is surprising for this part of town to me. Everywhere in Chinatown is not going to be packed and busy, and this place is here to remind you of that. Stop by if you're looking for a more chill vibe. Staff are pretty cool.

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!
