Sunrise on the way out

We had a great time. We caught a bunch of tuna. The captain was great and boat while older was excellent. We had a party of 8 and everyone caught fish or in my case had a couple of chances to real them in. We WILL Be back great place. Even the office staff is helpful and passionate about what they do. It is a great place.

5 MARLIN AND 3 TUNA!! I took my son fishing on the 31' Redrum and our crew of captain Omar and deck hand Victor did not disappoint. We researched and researched and Redrum kept coming up with best recommendations. They've been around a long time. Watch their YouTubes to learn more about them. We paid a little more to go with this outfit, but in the end it was the best choice. My son's dream has been to catch a marlin. I, on the other hand, couldn't care one bit, I just wanted him to catch his fish. We live in Oregon and he fishes and hunts a lot. We told Omar we wanted striped marlin and he hightailed up the coast. We were passing a lot of boats along the way and not one boat passed us. We ended up near a few other boats and Victor got the lines out. It was interesting to watch and seemed very complicated, but my son knew what they were doing and he was impressed. Right off the bat, my son got a marlin on and within seconds another one was on. I never even intended to reel in a huge fish, but I did! It was a lot of work because as soon as my fish got close to the boat, it ran out the line and I had to do it all over again and it was jumping all over the place. Such an adrenaline rush! So, we had 2 marlin, both measuring 93". Then, we asked Omar to get us in the tuna and we landed 3 yellowfin. Somewhere along the way we lost a dorado. Then the tuna dried up and we moved on to fish for something else, Mahi Mahi or dorado, we didn't care, we were just pumped! Well, another marlin got on and my son reeled it in, this time 94" then we did another double, and my son and I were both reeling in giant fish at the same time. We didn't measure this time because everyone was exhausted and they looked to be similar size, but I bet they were over 100" because that's the way fish stories are supposed to go. We had an epic day of fishing and we thought Victor was the best deck hand ever and Omar got us right to the fish. So, I recommend requesting them if you can. My son called it "the double double with a tuna twist" trip. PS, they recommended a restaurant to cook up our catch and it was beyond delicious. Best sushi in my life.

Avoid this company…read more We are vacationing in Cabo for the first time. We read the good reviews and we made reservations with Juan Carlos for the larger boat for a half day of fishing at $550 without buying the boxed lunch. We were transferred to another guy who walked us to the dock and transferred again to our captain (Santiago) and deckhands (Brandon and Gus(?)). We spent the first several hours trawling top water baits presumably for marlin. At one point the captain hooked one and set the hook and reeled it in some. After he did the fun part he passed the pole to me. Before I could hold the pole and start reeling the fish got off the line. That was as close to getting a fish we got all day. At some point they switched to bottom fishing with live bait but got no bites. We could see other boats around us landed fish. When we arrived back to the docks the other boats succeeded in catching themselves "sushi." The captain and deckhands were nice enough, but spoke zero English. Their Spanish was unintelligible as I am an OK Spanish speaker but they were both hard to understand and not interested to talk. The captain and deckhands did not communicate, did not tell us the plan for the day, could not explain what to do with the equipment. We basically watched them fish all morning and almost didn't get to touch the rods ourselves. Our family of four felt like spectators. They had about 8-10 live fish in the well for the entire ride. When they ran out of live bait our trip was over. I feel like it would have been more appropriate to have more bait available at this price point so that we wouldn't go home empty handed. Also, there's a sign on the boat announcing you're expected to add a 25-30% tip. We complied with tipping with no questions asked despite no communication, no teaching, and no fish. I had told the kids in advance that we would catch a fish and take it to a restaurant to eat that night like other reviewers. Be aware that you could spend $550 before tip, watch the staff fish all day, not touch the equipment yourselves, and get skunked.

We met Israel our Captain and Raul. They kept saying "for the next 3 hours, this boat is yours" and we had the best time. Our previous trip was more focused on swimming and snorkeling but this time we wanted to see the whales. We enjoyed every minute on the boat. We were pampered and cared for, they provided lots of info but were never intrusive. We had great drinks all day followed by a lunch (some reviewers called it a "snack" but I feel like it was so much food and plenty for lunch). We LOVE Cabo sailing and can't wait to come back for a third time! Thank you!

We booked this for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, about a couple days in advance. Gary was the captain. We saw whales and pods of dolphins, and he managed to drive us til we were in the middle of the dolphins, seeing them dive out of the water right next to us and seeing them directly under our boat! He also let the kids steer a bit which was exciting for them. Another man was our host and guide - he told us a little about the geography and history of the area and served us our food and drink. The boat was very clean, including the bathrooms. We were asked to leave our shoes in a bin at the dock and it felt fine walking around barefoot on the boat. This sail included dinner but it was more like appetizers: Chips & Guac, a plate of cheese/meats/french bread. Unlimited drinks.

The company Cabo Adventures is a total scam and preys on vulnerable families. I will NEVER use them again for any other activity despite us coming to Cabo every year. I encourage every one from Yelp not to use them as well. Each ticket cost over $200 per person to be part of a group dolphin experience. This is not even private. A child MUST be accompanied by an adult so that forces more people to join. You think after spending over $800 for 4 people they would treat us like royalty right? WRONG. They do not mention any photo pricing online because they don't want to scare you away before you purchase your tickets. But let me tell you, it's an all or nothing photo package (you cannot pick a few or buy per picture) and it was over $500!!!!!! The b*tch working at the photo center must get off on making kids cry because when you call her out on the ridiculous prices, she shuts off the computer, takes her booklet, and says "ok good bye, there's the door". They do not negotiate at all because they know you have no other option. It's truly heartless. How insulting after we just spent $800 just on the tickets for a 30 min SHARED experience. They allow observers who are not doing the dolphin experience but they conveniently put them far away from where the dolphins are so it's impossible for them to take any pictures or video. Note: females you are NOT allowed to have anything in your hair such as hair ties or clips which there is no mention online or even when you check in. They don't give a reason why and it really sucked because the day we went it was super windy and our hair went everywhere ruining a lot of the photos plus making it hard to see in the water with hair in your face. My poor daughter had to take out her cute braids :/ Many other great and reasonable experiences. Go elsewhere and do NOT support Cabo adventures. Shame on you guys. UPDATE: I'd like to respond to the manager Lorena who tries to justify these ridiculous prices instead of listening to her customers' feedbacks and making adjustments. No, it's not optional to get the photos because what's the point of doing this experience if you do not have pictures to keep as memories? Yes, I understand there's safety regulations about not having cameras with us in the pool but forcing bystanders not in the pool to be over 100 ft away to take pictures which will be blurring, you leave us no choice but to purchase the photos. Nobody is asking for free photos but charging $500 is a scam. Even Disneyland only charges $80 for unlimited photos for a whole week! And respect gets respect. After spending over $800, YOUR employee is the one who was disrespectful to me first with her attitude about the price and not even trying to talk to your supervisor or work something out with me. Clearly, you only care about profit, not about customers leaving happy or having a good experience.

From the booking to the boat they were flawless. The directions in the email made it very easy to find...I watched the YouTube video provided to help me find my way because I'm "geographically challenged". I literally played then paused as I took each turn! Haha...silly but we made it. The fellas in the office were all prepared and had everything ready when we arrived. I know nothing about fishing so I had to ask them what to fish for and any recommendations. They made me feel like family. Had lunches and drinks all packed and walked us directly to our boat when it was ready. Capitan Martin and his Deckhand Sergio on the "Big Kahuna III" welcomed us with big smiles. Once we had a fish on the line they taught us the skills needed to reel our fish in. They were patient and helpful. My parents are up there in age so when my mom was struggling Sergio was such a gentleman and gave her just enough assistance when she needed it. All while cheering her on to keep going. The captain was spot on with his skills creating a synergy between him and the person on the fishing pole. The food and company were great with breathtaking views of the coast. When we arrived back at the Marina a staff member met us and walked us back...even found us a great place to eat. My parents were like "wow, white glove service". Couldn't have asked for a better experience. If you are in Cabo and want to fish, then this is "THE" place.

This is an updated review;…read more We went out twice with Daliken while on vacation for our honeymoon. The first day, there was a lot of miscommunication, we ended up having an extremely dissatisfied experience not just from not catching fish but in terms of captain being unpleasant, boat, and general service. After posting a review about this; my husband was contacted by Daliken and we were offered to come back on another day. Luckily we had time available in our trip. Now, our second trip was exactly what we were expecting. Easy check in process, personable captain (Reuben was great!!!) everything matched the description of the experience and website. We did end up catching a large Mahi Mahi but regardless if we caught anything or no; the experience was fantastic! On a well kept, boat that felt safe to be on. Captain did a lot of explanation of where we were going, what type of fish to expect, what to do if we did catch something and just generally held conversation well and kept us engaged even in slower parts of the day. We even saw dolphins, turtles and seals! Which was super cool but again regardless of just having a great day on the water with catching and seeing so much, Reuben made our experience fantastic! They were kind and respectful about handling the original negative review, and definitely made up for it! Thank you again Daliken for making this a much better Day 2.
