thanks for a lovely brunch, we came in for Mother's Day surprised with amazing service and a sweet little treat! so thoughtful and so tasty! two happy moms here. thanks Red's. also the food was fantastic and both servers were so polite and made the experience so welcoming and friendly. we will be back. (The manager gave moms and family little red velvet cupcakes as a little dessert surprise).

Farmer's brekky, side English muffins, sausage sub for bacon (never happened)

Hit and miss, had the Farmer's brekky. Eggs, bacon, English muffins, pancake were great. Hash browns tasted funny, toast was hard, my substitute sausage for extra bacon never happened. Good service, good protocols, happy faces.

Came here early on a Saturday in September and there was no wait. it's not a huge place, but they did have a few tables along the outside as well. The server was very nice and gave informed suggestions. Food came out quick and hot. I opted for the chorizo and eggs hash plate which was huge and perfectly spiced and salty. It was I think $20, but it could easily feed two people! My husband got the brisket benedict which was also quite tasty and huge. We were only stopping through Calgary for a few days, but I would definitely come back here if we were in town again!

Went here in a Friday for brunch and thought everything was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. I got the brisket hash and the portion size was large and food was good. Need time I will try out the hazel crepe or French toast!

    Bacon and Brie Bennie

Great little place for breakfast. I was in town for a show and stumbled across this place. Staff was super friendly, service was excellent and food outstanding. Had the Montreal smoked meat hash the first day and the Bennie with Bacon and Brie on my second visit.

There's a lot of fancy brunch spots in Calgary, but there is nothing quite like a breakfast at Reds on 4th. The diner is cozy, friendly and has the best feel good vibes. The food is always 10/10, fresh and hot with huge portions so you have left overs (the hash browns are so good later). The best place to start your day and a must stop if just visiting for a few days!

Another super popular brunch/all day breakfast institute. They have two other locations (Kensington and Ramsay). We decided to check them out on a Saturday morning. Pro tip: download the No Wait app (second time I've used it since OEB). Seriously, the best thing ever. We only had to wait 30 minutes from start to finish. Not bad. The inside is cozy and decor gives off an air of country home style. - 2x Mimosas ($7.00) - if you're going to do brunch, might as well get a few mimosas. - Blueberry buttermilk buckwheat pancakes ($14.00) - had a bite of C's pancakes; they were light, fluffy and stuffed with blueberries. I should have got this for myself. - Prairie breakfast plate ($17.50) - you could tell the perogies were homemade but you only get 6 and they're small. The potato hash was good (chunky, well seasoned) and a nice touch with the fruit (orange, grapefruit and honey dew). I'm just not a "breakfast plate" type of guy. Overall, decent breakfast place but a bit uninspiring and a little overpriced in my books. The lineups tell a different tale though so if you go, stick with their sweet offerings. 3.5 stars.

    The overpriced menu

No way in hell would I recommend this place. First of all, my mom and I, we get there they have a wait list, so ok we are added, than come to find out if you have a part of 4 can bump you. Than the waitress said "I thought I made that clear" she did not. Than told us she had cleaned off the table, and she had not, it was dirty still. They want $22 for an Eggs Benedict!!! . Was not worth the money. The potatoes tasted like they were frozen and reheated.

Crepes la québécois, not a fan but my personal opinion

Expensive - 3 of us had breakfast with 1 only having quinoa and are bill was practically $100. Ridiculous for breakfast in my opinion.

When we were seated, our server told us the table time limit was "an hour to an hour and a half." Fair enough. Most brunch spots give you a solid 90 minutes. But 50 minutes in, a different server advised us we had 10 minutes left. That's a 60-minute window, not the 90 we'd been quoted, and it wasn't framed as an apology or a one-off. Just a clipped warning. Being abruptly rushed out more than half an hour earlier than promised soured what should have been a really lovely morning with family who I hadn't seen in years. If you're popping in solo for a quick bite, the kitchen earns the trip. If you're hoping for an unhurried meal with people who actually matter to you, I'd look somewhere else.

Kind, well-spoken, gentle, efficient, always a smile on her face and she went above and beyond. I had a 12:15 pm reservation. Unfortunately a group was taking much longer than expected. I waited over 30+ mins to be seated and so yes, I could've made a scene, but that wouldn't be me. Phoebe could've just let things be ... you know? Because "it is what it is". But she didn't. Once she seated me and my friend, she offered to take photos for me and of me. SO thoughtful! She also brought me a beautiful ice cream with a sparkling candle in it. SO sweet! She smiled at me every time she walked by almost as a way to make sure I was doing OK and feeling good. She was WAY more attentive than our female server who looked, sounded and acted like she couldn't leave work soon enough. Wasn't going to let her dampen my birthday though... Food tasted good. Presentation was beautiful. The male server who took over was SUPERB. Genuinely happy to "close out" our transaction with him. He was super attentive and willing to make everything go well. Thank you, Phoebe and male server for making my birthday memorable. XO

The space offers a mix of seating which had indoor tables and a section with food court-style seating that's technically still indoors but feels more casual. It wasn't overly busy when I went, and the atmosphere was fine. Since I couldn't decide what to order, I asked the server for a recommendation. They suggested the Traditional Benny, mentioning that making it "Canadian style" includes maple syrup on the side. I also went with the Get Shorty Rib Poutine, which looked amazing when it came out, but the flavor just didn't quite live up to the presentation. It wasn't bad, just okay. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I'd give it three stars.

Today I tried the SHAKSHUKA Stewed plum tomatoes, lemon, peppers, jalapeños, Za'atar spice, chickpeas, poached eggs, cow feta, fresh herbs, French rye bread. Service is standard, open kitchen, nice ambiance showcasing eggs.

We were shocked to find another couple sitting at our reserved table--frankly, I hadn't anticipated it would be a shared table for eight in the first place. To make matters worse, we were rushed to order and pay the bill. After that couple left, another pair were seated at our six-person table without any explanation. Our dishes arrived in two separate waves with a 10-minute gap. They also automatically added an 18% tip for parties of more than five people, which I expect at least we should have a private table. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the server, the owner came out and became confrontational and aggressive. He raised his voice, saying I could "tell him what I am not satisfied with." Then he offered a refund, which I immediately declined, and afterward snatched a package of coffee from the counter and offered it as compensation. I refused again--it felt more like an insult than a genuine apology. After we posted our reviews, the owner privately messaged my friend, asking us to remove them and citing the "small Chinese community" as a reason we should support each other. That's incredibly manipulative. Using community guilt to pressure customers into deleting honest feedback is inappropriate and only reinforces our negative experience. I will not be returning.

A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible.
