Rip off. I went in to Redstone Pawn today to buy some 22lr ammo. Store Rep. tried to sell me a 99 round box of CCI Mini Mags for $15.99. This can be bought pretty much anywhere else for between $10-$12. He then said I had to open an account because I wanted to pay by card. I walked out and went to RK and got 200 rounds of the same ammo for $15.99. There I didn't have to open an account to buy ammo with a card. Redstone Pawn is in a seedy part of town too. read more

I have to say used to go in this pawn shop and larrys pistol and pawn all the time but it's been awhile and me and my father went into today and I have to say was very impressed with the selection and had team members constantly asking if we wanted to look at anything. I have about 4 firearms I planned on purchasing and I was thinking I might go ahead and get them from here instead of larry's, then I spotted a Firearm that I was wanting and figured I would put that on layaway while I purchased something else and I was told something I couldn't even believe... was "they only had one and are still hard to get so can't put it on layaway".. I was dumbfounded and was so so thankful I hadn't bought the other Firearms first. So went to larrys and of course they had one soon as I walked through the door and was even $150 cheaper. Threw it on layaway and went ahead and bought the other two for Christmas while I was shopping. I definitely learned my lesson on never doubt larry's pistol and pawn. They are always able to get anything I'm after and I would bet my life they will never say something that insane when it comes to satisfying a customer. read more

The team worked with me great and stand behind the products the sell. I bought a 500 sw magnum and it would not fire. Brought it back tried the recommended ammo with still wouldn't fire. Came back again and swapped it for a different firearm. The team was very helpful through the whole process. read more

I took a $700 dollar Beretta 9 mm pistol four pawn and requested $400 they offered me $200 and said that was the most they could possibly do. Larry's gave me $400 the very next day. The price price Redstone Pawn offered was nonsensical. The place was clean but everything I saw a price on was more expensive than I was expecting. I did notice they had a bread a very similar to mine used condition they were asking 550 for so where I to leave my brother and it end up on their shelf they would be making over 100% profit. The two young guys that looked at my pistol one obviously did not know what he was looking at and the second one when he asked for help did not give a s*** he was too busy acting like he was in 10th grade I would be highly suspect of any review on here that says they have excellent prices on firearms or accessories as that was not my experience.... read more

Amazing store. Great prices on guns and accessories. I traded in a gun to get a new one i got $70 more here than LGP down the road. Amazing customer service. This was my first time purchasing anything from a pawn shop. We just moved here from California and one of our televisions didn't survive the trip. I purchased a television which was in great shape and the price was more than fair. I exchanged it the next day for one that was a better match for my home gaming system. This is the very best Pawn Shop I have ever come across. The employees are very respectful and seem to treat each and every customer with dignity. They are extremely fair. Next to these two stickers was a third sticker that stated "Complete set of 4 $160". As I checked out at the front of the store, I wanted to make sure that the vendor was getting paid what they were owed. I didn't bargain down or argue for the $40, I made sure the cashier knew that there were two conflicting prices and that I didn't want to shortchange the vendor. Upon first asking if the $40 was the correct price, she stated loud and rudely, "IT SAYS SPECIAL FOR FOURTY DOLLARS." This was all she spoke while making direct and antagonizing eye contact. I acknowledged her words gently and kindly, that I indeed saw that sticker but also noticed that there was a conflicting price tag NEXT to the $40 one. The more expensive price was not crossed out or written over, they were listed next to each other. What I didn't say, but was hoping to clarify, was whether the store was okay being on the hook for the extra $120 if they were only going to charge me $40. The cashier simply repeated the same words, louder this time, and very condescending in her tone and manner, "IT SAYS SPECIAL FOR FOURTY DOLLARS" and pointed to the sticker to make her point even clearer. She said nothing else. I paid without further comment. As she bagged up the four prints, she included the additional document with the price stickers on it. I inquired if she wanted to keep the ADDITIONAL document with the price tags and booth label (for her records), making sure she didn't slip it in by mistake. Her tone, still very loud and now even more condescending, resounded as she said, "I WON'T BE REMOVING THOSE STICKERS BECAUSE THEY WILL DAMAGE THE PAPER." I wasn't asking her for a lesson on how adhesive works, I was simply trying to allow her the opportunity to keep the documentation for the vendor and the store to prove that she charged me for the discounted price. I've grown up in antique stores. My grandmother and mother both currently own/have owned their own antique establishments, so I'm familiar with the protocol. Maybe their protocol is different. My bad. I did not respond further and took the bag gently from her hands. It could have been the simplest and most pleasant interaction though. "Oh I see that there are two conflicting prices here. Let me call the vendor and verify that this one is correct." Or perhaps "We are told to take the lowest price listed on each product, so I can guarantee this is the correct price. Thanks for the concern though! I appreciate you looking out for the vendor!" Something, ANYTHING, more pleasant in terms of tone and word choice, would have been a better experience. I have also been in her shoes. I have worked in marketing and customer service for the past 20 years. I have worked a front desk, many, many times. I have been a cashier. I have been the rep who answered tweets at 11pm where a customer needed toilet paper sent to their hotel room. I know what it's like to deal with belligerent , arrogant people, with people who actively try to make your life a living hell because you work behind a desk, behind a screen, behind a uniform. That was NOT my intention, and that's what I think stung the most. In being kind, in being thorough, I was treated with contempt. Maybe she was having a bad day. Maybe I caught her in a moment where she had just dealt with someone difficult and assumed I was the same. There are a number of reasons why this transaction was so unpleasant. "Give her some grace!", the masses might cry. And I might agree with you. Normally, I would. But she was old enough to know better. The job she holds is not one that is difficult to execute, nor difficult to execute PROPERLY. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. Maybe I shouldn't have let this seemingly small incident make such a huge impact. Or maybe, just maybe, this could've turned out so drastically different if this young woman had exercised the bare minimum and just been kind to me in return.

Purchased a Kenmore washer and dryer from an ad on Craigslist on May 15, 2019. Thought it was a…read morelegitimate purchase because it stated" come view at Advent Thrift." It also stated it had a "60 Day Warranty" and no where did it state repairs only NO REFUNDS. I am a single working mother with 2 sons who have blood diseases and after speaking with Al over the phone found a person to pay and have the set picked up. When the pickup person arrived he entered the store asked Mrs. Peters (Manager) for Al and she stated "right over there." The washer tub has numerous rust spots and clothes have been damaged. I called and spoke with Al and asked for a refund and he stated "no refunds only repairs" and I stated that was not stated in the ad and he agreed that it was not. He offered to come to my home and change out the tub and again I requested my $$ back and that the ad needed to be clear in reference to a "60 Day Warranty". He at which time stated "it was not a good time for him to speak and that he was hanging up." I called him back and asked again for a refund and he stated no again and claimed he almost ran into something talking on the phone with me. I told him I would not call again but rather have legal contact him. Next, I called and spoke with Elizabeth Peters (Manager) of Advent Thrift and explained to her my circumstances, she indicated that he was leasing space and that she had not seen the ad. She wanted to call him and offered to call me back. I received a return call from her and she stated "He offered to repair the tub so leave me out of it." I am competing paperwork and filing a small claims judgement against Al. To protest not having the terms honored is worth the $78 plus $20 to have a sheriff serve the judgement/paperwork. Always keep receipts and take a screenshot of ads...I am so glad I did!! On the receipt, he had another opportunity to write "no refunds only repairs"...but he did not. Advent Thrift need to require leaser's to have insurance and state clearly they are a separate entity. They may be liable also.

Ridgetone Pond is a nice pawnshop they have a lot of different things of course but if you do have to get a loan on your possession make sure you go on eBay and see what they're selling for not what you're asking go to your filter and make sure you see what they're showing for and make sure you read the details because they are trying to get what you're trying to pawn is the lowest price and make sure you know what you're talking about because I pawn something there and they try to show me they always sold for a lot less than what I was asking ensure I went with it but when I got home and look at it again in or detail in the area and it was like mine it was on eBay it sold for Where is didn't have half the things my item did that came with it so be careful and do your research. But I will see everybody in there is really friendly they're not rude like it most other pawn shops they're just going to try to give you the least amount possible and they look at eBay to see what things are selling for don't forget that make sure that you go to and I don't know and then go to the filter where it shows water sold for and then you'll have a better idea what they're going to want to give you but I will say if you pay your Item off the next time they will give you more money for the same item because they know that you're coming back to get it. ( JUST make sure the payments are going to be in your budget so that you can get your item back..GOD bless America We all need to stick together. read more
