Tl;dr- we know there's a problem but we're doing exactly zero about it.

Redstone, one must assume, has a soft spot for larcenists. As a result, it's seemingly engaged in a campaign of benign neglect around matters of building security to give local bike thieves a leg up in getting a hold of that new ride they'd been pining after. Theft in the area rising and acknowledged by management? Storage units burglarized? Property stolen? "Oh well", says Redstone, "def not our job to add even a modicum of security, so let's just slap a piece of paper on a door and call it a day."

Do not rent an apartment at Catamount Ridge. Hillary, the property manager is two-faced. Somehow all of your business finds its way to other tenants. She's phony, unfriendly and unprofessional. She's pulled some real doozies on tenants, like promising someone a particular apartment until moving day and you find out she's give you a DIFFERENT and SMALLER apartment. She's argumentative and doesn't know what she's doing. She seems like a very unhappy individual and is eager to show YOU, SHE'S in charge! On top of that, this is how the property was every day (sometimes worse) dog poop everywhere. It's supposed to be non smoking yet people smoke in their bathrooms and on their decks all the time.

During the two years that Tom worked for me, I was mostly satisfied with his work. Our phone communication was always good; his email responsiveness, however, was not always the best. However, after my recent experience with him, which resulted in the termination of our working relationship, I must say I have come to question his judgement, integrity as well as accountability. Problems arose when I decided to raise the rent in one of my units this past summer and asked Tom to notify the tenants in spring. For months he assured me that everything was fine, the tenants had been notified and, when renewal time came, a new lease had been signed. However, after we failed to collect the new rent amount for several months in a row, I contacted my tenants, at which point it became clear that Tom had never pursued the lease renewal. Tom Rotella has let me down in a big way by failing to have my tenants sign an agreed upon lease renewal with a rent increase, which resulted in their tenancy becoming month-to-month as well as hundreds of dollars in lost revenue. Once I confronted him with the evidence and asked to see the lease, he stopped responding altogether. I wrote Tom one last email, giving him a chance to clarify and possibly rectify the situation. He has not responded to my email to this day. I therefore cannot recommend Tom Rotella to anyone looking for a reliable and dependable property manager.

After an extremely negative situation with another firm that I think is now out of business, I was referred to Tom, who got my property back on track and made it profitable for the very first time. He is efficient, courteous, professional and maybe most importantly, ACCOUNTABLE. If you're looking to take care of your tenants and get the hassle of owning rental property off your back, call Tom.

I am originally from Southern California and never experienced a property management company as eager to take money without actually doing worthy in return. Their apartments flood Craigslist and comprised the majority during the time I was looking prior to my move. Ultimately I felt like I got a good deal on a studio that was listed as fully renovated. Bissonette also offered to give me a virtual walk through while was still in CA so I could get a better idea. I thought it was a great idea, obliged, and got a pretty good glimpse (or so I thought). I signed the lease and sent them the deposit quickly so I could have something in place for when I arrived during the winter. After the 6 day drive from CA to VT, I was shocked to find that the building was a complete dump and the apartment was severely misrepresented in the photos. It was about 20% accurate of what I expected. To make matters worse, little things like simple communication to residents was never made a priority. Often times I would wake up on a Saturday morning to the wonderful sounds of construction right above my head, construction workers shouting profanity, missed package deliveries (because one half of the building is completely different than the other half), residents whining about parking spaces (even though nothing was clearly assigned), and overall price when compared to the quality of the living space. I just feel like this company has really overstretched the scope of what they are capable are doing given the staff size. They are polite when you speak to them over the phone or email, but I just don't think they are equipped to provide the best experience to residents and it doesn't help that their listings are really exaggerated for what you pay for.

I have dealt with…read moremany shady and unethical landlords, but I have never had as negative an experience as with Nichole Delong. The quality of the building was disgusting, there were bugs, mice, holes, crumbling walls, etc. Be warned, you will be charged a large amount out of your deposit even if you take good care of your crumbling apartment. The laundry was constantly broken and the price for laundry increased SEVERAL TIMES across one year with NO WARNING. The premises are horribly maintained and if you have an issue, Nichole will either ignore you, be slow to respond, and/or be extremely rude. The top of the stove was hot constantly despite not being in use. I was told this was normal for gas appliances so my monthly gas bill was astronomical despite rarely using the stove and oven. My cat developed horrible asthma while living in this apartment and their asthma has completely cleared since moving. It is truly shameful the way Bisonette and Nichole treat their tenants. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

We're under the assumption they were processing the lease not just the application. We asked questions, which never got answered. They called our landlord and recieved an excellent reference. Calls/texts/emails never answered. They showed a lack of professionalism and experience regardless of their years in the industry, we were treated like garbage. These people missed out on a family who desperately needed the home, had the money, and qualifications as well as willingness to negotiate on how to make us work out. We received a letter stating we were denied (after we were under the impression we were approved) and I asked for an explanation and got no response. Upset is an understatement. The biggest complaint I have is the lack of communication, and not having the courtesy to answer our questions. If you're looking for good people to work with DO NOT give these people your money. Don't even try to, they'll ignore you. Apparently the manager is apparently "going through personal issues" which was the reasoning we got whenever we asked for updates. so for anyone looking to rent, if you see Yana as the manager, expect to be ignored and brushed off, better yet just run, don't walk.
