We chose to sit outside facing the water which was nice. I ordered the chili scrambled eggs and added grilled tomato and bacon. I was skeptical at first because I like heat but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the feta & I'm happy I added the bacon & grilled tomato but it would have been fine without as well. My partner ordered the big breakfast and we both had more than enough to eat - he said it was delicious as well. We were surprised it wasn't busy when we showed up, however by the time we left it was picking up quite a bit. We stayed to enjoy our coffees, and we liked it so much we decided to book dinner reservations for this weekend as well.
Designed for them to make the most money not for customer experience…read more booked for inside, got stuck outside streetside where it was cold and noisy. Very very cold- eating rugged ip in coats and under blankets they provided- like refugee camp. Had to ferry our tables drinks from the bar (why at these prices are there not enough servers?). Most of the Food was good but the menu is VERY limited (ie fish and chip is only battered). Had to order a side of veggies if you hoped for some and the small quarter of a potato was rock hard undercooked, a sliver of pumpkin and few green beans- like austerity rations.

Ordering was possible through an app or at the bar. The menu is varied from pizza to pasta, salads, sandwiches and more. My partner loved his pizza. The kids loved the Spaghetti Bolo and Mac & Cheese while I went with a Ceasar's salad. At the bar I asked for no anchovies and dressing on the side which they were happy to accommodate. I eat keto / low carb and was also able to choose from 2 low carb beers! Service was friendly. The food came quickly although it was busy. Ambiance and decor: I love the style, the high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows. It was too cool to sit outside but that area has a nice vibe too! We'll be back!

My husband and I had recently celebrated our third wedding anniversary, and so we were looking for somewhere nice to spend a couple of nights. I dont think we could have asked for nicer :) We had a one bedroom apartment on the 10th floor overlooking the ocean. The Oakes Mon Komo is part of a bigger building that has some residential accomodation as well. There are two towers to the building, the Residential tower and the Oakes tower. The Oakes tower has a range of apartments, a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments. With a choice of Ocean View or non Ocean View. In my opinion it is DEFINITELY worth paying the little bit extra for the ocean view - the view that we had was spectacular and the sea breeze was just divine :) The apartment was fully equipped, with fully kitchen (including stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher), laundry with washer and dryer, and a fantastic balcony! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole experience from an accommodation point for view was great. However, the one and only thing that I do have to complain about was the food from the restaurant. On our first night there - we ordered take away food from the restaurant downstairs. I had to go down and collect it, and my husbands risotto was great. However, the food that my sister and I ordered left a lot to be desired. We ordered a cheese platter, which was fine, and a bowl of chips which were served in a styrofoam container, and so they were VERY soggy by the time I got them back to our room, and although I ordered them with tomato sauce as well as aioli, there was no sauce to be seen. But with the food aside, the accommodation experience was fantastic. :) As far as accommodation goes, this is a definite YES. Just maybe choose one of the many other options for food in the area. :)
