I am very disappointed in this office. First, they want payment upfront but are reluctant to let you know when you're due a refund from overpaying vs the insurance company payment. I'm still waiting for my refund since last August! I'm wondering how many patients are unaware of this. Also, they hit a nerve from a Novocain injection where I cannot open my mouth wide anymore. They suggested I see a specialist which I had to pay. I insisted they pay for this expense since they caused my injury and they refused. They are now threatening to send me to collections for this and a for a prior billing which is totally incorrect. Maybe I should send them to collections for not refunding my money from a year ago. I was so anxious before my appointment, but from the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel at ease. Arianna was truly made for her job she didn't just treat me as someone with dental problems while doing my x rays, she treated me like a human being. Her kindness left me in tears when I left the office. Dr Hanna, was equally amazing she explained everything with such ease and made me feel truly seen. The office personnel are friendly, and I like talking with them. When in the exam room, you don't have to worry that they are doing something that you don't need. The dentist and hygienist are honest and straight to the point and it shows they care about your teeth health. My son even likes going here for his teeth cleaning. Waiting to get seen doesn't take too long after your scheduled appointment. Dr. Schmitz was gentle, friendly, and efficient. The dental assistants are also wonderful and efficient. NEVER make an appointment here. Horrible office policies and unreliable staff. When office staff were unable to reach me after ~20 hours of their first call to confirm my appointment, they contacted my emergency contact. Then only when did it come to my appointment time did I get a text informing me that the staff was throwing up all night and needed to cancel. Keep in mind that I go to the dentist twice a year and this was not the first time I have been told that staff have been throwing up all night. On the service side, no significant concerns other than there are many times I have visited and after my cleaning I would hear that oh, the dentist is not here so he'll have to check you out next time. A visit to the dentist without seeing the dentist is NOT acceptable. If you value your teeth, do not make an appointment here. read more

Redwood has really gone downhill over the years. I went there since I was a child. I had two very small cavities filled during one visit, and come to find out, there was a much larger one on a different tooth which was not addressed until my next routine cleaning, which should have never been missed. Even an untrained, non medical/dental professional would have been able to see that something was very obviously wrong. I ultimately lost that tooth due to extensive damage that occurred over those six months, and by the time it WAS addressed, it was too late and it had to be extracted. And they only care about your money; they tried to tell me I could benefit from Invisalign. I was never once told in my life that I needed braces. I've never experienced any orthodontic related dental problems, and I'm nearly 50!!! read more

I recommend Redwood dental it has sedations I've been looking all over for dentist that does sedation. The doctor was very gentle when examining my mouth and my gums no pain whatsoever. I had 4 tooth extracted No pain at all. Do I recommend this dentist office yes I do. I'll keep you updated I have more work to be done. Great place read more

They deserve a 0 rating, my husband had 5 root canals done over 3 weeks ago and has not been able to eat solid food since because 4out of the 5 are in pain. We called to tell them that he was in a lot of pain, they didn't offer a same day emergency appt like they advertise on their website, they said they didn't have anything available for 2 days! One of the crowns has a gap btwn the crown and the gum all of them are hot/cold sensitive the two eye teeth were filed to a sharp point and to half the thickness they ised to be and the pin is exposed at the top! Why were they filed down to a point and paper thin? Why is there pain if the roots were removed?? When I called them to tell them I want my money back because I don't have any faith in their work and no way am I letting my husband be tortured anymore by them, Danine told me NO because they did their work and it not being done correctly is our opinion!! All they were worried about was getting him in there to complete the rest of the work, that's because it's about $10,000 worth of work and all they see is $$ signs and not a patient that's suffering. I tried to schedule an appointment for a simple 6-month cleaning. After taking tons of x-rays of my mouth, they informed me that I would have to come back a month later for a teeth cleaning. Then a week later I was called and informed that they had to cancel the appointment they originally scheduled and schedule the cleaning later than the first one. I cancelled them. I don't know the reason for this, since I was given none by the person who called me, but if you are understaffed, or scheduling too many appointments at one time then there needs to be better organization of this business. they botched my cracked molar crown and it got infected so they sent me to another office instead of taking care of it here. they charged me to pull the tooth and told me they would give me credit for the crown once i had an implant procedure done which is $4000 and more. i refused and am out the $1500 for the crown. they neglected to prescribe me antibiotics once it was clear that there was an abscess. im not happy with this place at all and dont recommend it unless youre fully insured and or are independently wealthy. i needed a credit for the tooth extraction because i had no insurance and they tapped my cash reserve! they refused to give the credit for that procedure so i could cut my losses and just go find another place to have my dental work done. they sicced their office manager on me and were not accommodating whatsoever. im honestly offended by the way they treated me. all their office employees act like there is no flexibility and like they simply dont care what your wishes are. dont waste your time going here and expecting to get respect when stuff goes wrong. the customer is coralled and handled at the end of a stick. they are not concerned with your satisfaction unless it lines up with their policy, and policy is not structured in the customers favor at all. also a lot of the employees are woke and alternative paradigm holders so if youre a young white male you may face scrutiny and attitude. i did have a decent time with some of them but only after it was clear that things didnt go right in the first place. beware of dr patel, she is soft spoken and sweet but lacks experience. i blame my predicament on her incompetence and or misdiagnosis. i am now without a tooth. it sorta seems these peoples priority is cash money so beware of the upsell and question prescribed procedures. go get the same exact toothbrush they sell at costco for much less. better yet go elsewhere for dental work. dont fall for the buttering up they do. btw the hygienist was sweet and did an amazing job. thanks for that much at least. read more

The biggest problem here is that they can't hold onto their doctors. I have been going to the Warren office and Shelby Twp. office for years and can't count how different dentists I have seen. I have also had a couple of rookie dentists that I refused additional treatment from. It feels that Redwood Dental is almost a starting gate for new dentists who move on after they get their feet wet in the business. read more

I have periodontal problems and I have seen a lot of improvement with this issue since going to the Redwood Dental Warren office. I've had a problem with one of my implants getting infected. My previous dental office was unable to get the problem resolved but this office has managed to get it cleared up. They are always on time for my appointments. The staff are very knowledgeable, they seem to have all the latest and greatest equipment. I love how they have a TV in every exam room and the waiting room is beautiful. read more

I visited this office for the first time in September 2021. They seemed nice and kind. When I came to get a consultation for the dental situation I was having, the staff immediately started talking about co- pays. Not even addressing my dental situation or how to resolve it. When I finally decided to just get a cleaning, the lady was rough with me and she stated my gums were bleeding because I wasn't flossing enough; after she told me I had beautiful teeth? Not only this Dentist Patel is rude and short and refused to be clear on what dental work I needed. This dentist started addressing things that did not relate to my dental situation and she pretty much walked away from my dental situation because I did not have the co-pay money that they wanted in advance before she addressed my dental situation. I would not advise anyone to visit this office because they have no compassion for human beings they only care about finances. They are rude to African American patients and stereotype Us the moment we walk into the office. Therefore, use them with caution that you may be treated Unfairly....I only gave them 1 star because there wasn't anything less I could rate this office. read more

This place has gone way down hill. We have gone here for years, even driving 30 minutes because we like Dr Hane so much. Today they put us with some brand new fresh out of school dentist. She's trying to sell Invisalign to my 15 year old who's teeth are perfectly straight. This has never been brought up with me before. She's pushing me saying your insurance will cover 1700 of it "thats almost 2000" if course I'd have to pay the other 3000 for something she doesn't even need. The real red flag is that when I was here they tried to sell Invisaline to me also because "my bite does not line up". It's time for us to find a new dentist. I am so disappointed. I was a customer of this office for years. I had moved out of state and recently moved back and was shocked when I called to try and schedule an appointment as a cash customer to find out that they wouldn't begin to discuss the prices of anything with me, saying that they could go up at anytime. Even though I was just trying to schedule a basic cleaning they would not discuss the cost, leading me to believe that once you get there the price goes way up. I had my 4 wisdom teeth extracted and was experiencing severe pain on the third day. When I called the office I felt like a child being scolded between the office personal and the dentist. I answered "yes" I did follow the post surgery instructions. and "Yes" my daughter DID explain it to me and "yes" I even read it myself. but I am still in pain......something is wrong. It's going on day seven. They did not ask me to come in to recheck or follow up as they said they would. Yesterday, I ended up going to the Redwood dentist in Madison Heights because the pain was unbearable. There is an infected/swollen area in the sockets. I was treated, stitches removed and sent on my way. Today I received a call from Redwood in Warren. They said they knew I went to Madison Heights so there is no need for me to come back there. My medical information was shared without my permission. The whole experience has been upsetting. We will be changing dental offices. read more
