Today was the second time the AMAZING GRRRRRRRRRRLS at Hay Taxi saved my sorry ass!! I am ever so…read moregrateful, AGAIN. Partnership Healthplan of California had sent me up with a Lyft ride to go out to Point Reyes from East Marin, which was fine. Partnership also scheduled a Lyft ride for me to go back home, and Lyft never showed up. They didn't say sorry we're not interested, they just went dark!! So after over an hour and a half of waiting, I called Partnership told them how awesome Hay taxi was last time I was abandoned in West Marin, and sure enough within an hour, The Hay taxi driver came out of the middle of nowhere, Picked my sorry ass up and took me home...door-to-door baby!! Again, the driver was awesome. She make sure to push the seat up for me because I've got bad legs and we had a great time talking about our wonderful great state of California on the arrogant apathetic doctors who live and practice here. This will be the last time LYFT strands me in West Marin because I am going to ask for the Hay taxi people to start with for my ride hime from now on. Your peeps are the bomb. Thank you.

Hay Taxi is by far the best medical transportation company that I've experienced. They are the…read morethird company that I was assigned to through my insurance, for medical transportation. It's rare for a transport company to be as considerate as they are. One driver in particular, Ana, is consistent, reliable, and a great driver. I've had bad anxiety in the past riding with drivers from other companies. That fear was only compounded when I voiced concern, and was ignored. Luckily that is a thing of the past... Every time Ana is my driver, she takes it upon herself to contact me when she is on her way, to inform me of her location, and her ETA. Ana listens when you have a suggestion, and will happily take it upon herself to try and accommodate. Her personality is so refreshing. Especially early morning when most people are grumpy. She is an excellent driver, always alert and attentive, all while friendly and smiling. You can tell that she is comfortable behind the wheel, and that confidence makes it possible to sit back and relax. Thank you!

I paid out of pocket for non emergency medical transport from Ukiah to Palo Alto on a Sunday, and…read moreback to Ukiah on Tuesday because I am in a Powerchair. The first driver was friendly, but the van was not equipped with a mount for his tablet that he used for navigation. He held the tablet on his lap, and was forced to look down at the tablet to view the navigation app. At highway speeds he was looking at the navigation and nearly sideswiped a few cars. He went out of the lane a few times, and then when traffic slowed ahead and he didn't see it, he slammed on the brakes causing my service dog to slide all the way from the back of the van to the front and slam into the seats. He was not trained about service dog etiquette and was trying to talk to and pet my service dog which distracted her from her job. On the way back the other driver didn't know how to properly put the shoulder belt restraint on me. He had it just hanging over my left shoulder and left hip. I fiddled with it to try and figure out how to make it go across my chest and as I was trying to figure it out he said, "it just goes like that, so you don't slam your head against the back of my seat". I figured out on my own how to make put the belt on properly and adjust it so it crossed my chest. This driver exceeded the speed limit at least 10mph for the entire drive. Sometimes he was traveling at more than 15mph over the speed limit. He seemed to be nodding off at one point and was hitting the rumble strips on the side of the road. When we got back to Ukiah he bragged about how he would get his powerchair customers home faster than most drivers. As he was removing the straps from the powerchair he said he couldn't wait to get his usual van back from the shop because the straps "don't work" on this van. He also kept trying to pet and talk to my service dog. My son and I were completely terrified and shaken up by these two rides that were supposed to be professional, comfortable and stress free. I emailed the owner who "investigated" my claims and was able to determine that I was owed a refund for this awful experience. I reached out to him 2 times over a week and he never responded about providing a refund after his initial email. I have reported this company to CPUC and asked for them to follow up and ensure this company doesn't hurt some of the most vulnerable people that it transports with these egregious violations of safe transportation laws. Hey Taxi, you should be ashamed of yourself for how you are operating a business. No mount for a tablet in an NEMT vehicle?? That's all you Hey Taxi, you can blame the rest on your untrained employees. Why aren't they trained?? Oh right, that's on you also!
