He is ALWAYS timely in fixing any issue reported and is very friendly while doing so. Eddie has made our stay as stress free as it gets. For that, we appreciate him. The leasing staff have been just as great. We had an issue with a unit we stayed in and they were able to aid with accommodations. Lisa, Katherine, Donnette (when she was there), and Olga have also aided in making our stay as lovely as it has been. It's always a pleasure to stop by the leasing office. Great job Briarcliff staff!

I have been living at Briarcliff for 2 years now, and can truly give an honest review now…read more Neighbors: truly amazing. Everyone is super nice and friendly, willing to wave or say hi! Very fortunate for all the people I have run into while living here. Maintenance: the maintenance deserves 6 stars. If you've had bad maintenance experiences in the past or at other places, look no further, you will be EXTREMELY pleased here. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is due to the cost for what you get. The apartments are not newly renovated by any means, and there are some imperfections, and the price is not cheap by any means. Overall I've been pleased with the living experience and WOULD recommend to others. If you need to talk to someone, Donnette is the best in the leasing office. My experience has been wonderful.

Let me begin by outlining the issues we experienced during our tenancy:…read more- Persistent mold in the shower that continued to return because it had been caulked over instead of properly treated. - Laundry machines that often left clothes dirtier than before, with each wash and dry costing nearly $5. - The property's general condition appeared dated and poorly maintained, with frequent weed odor in the hallways and pet waste on public walkways. - Annual rent increases despite no improvements to amenities or maintenance. After submitting our move-out notice 29 days before our lease expiration, we were informed by the leasing specialist that we would need to buy burner plates and fill holes to receive our security deposit back, and yet we were never informed of a 60-day notice requirement. Despite fulfilling all obligations, cleaning thoroughly, and leaving the unit in good condition, we were charged an entire month's rent for "insufficient notice." This charge was applied AFTER our lease had already expired, and when we disputed it, our security deposit was withheld under the explanation of a "dispute fee." We repeatedly asked for documentation on when the unit was re-listed for rent and received no response. When we checked if the listing was posted weeks after our notice, our unit was not posted. Do with that information what you will. We provided proper notice, paid rent on time, and left the apartment in excellent condition. It is disappointing to see that rather than acknowledging this, the management chose to impose after-the-fact charges and retain our deposit. This does not reflect good-faith property management or fair treatment of tenants. It it our opinion that this property is only going to continue and that management is going to continue to charge for their negligence.

Here's a timeline of my experience with The Crossing at Eagle Pond:…read more On February 16, I went on its website, which indicated that one studio apartment was available. I clicked on it, paid a $150 application fee, and received Quote #61251 listing the apartment number, lease length and amount. I filled out a rental application and received an email confirmation that it was received. The next morning, I called the office to confirm that I had reserved the apartment. The office explained to me that even though their website indicated an apartment was available and that I was allowed to reserve it online, that did not necessarily mean that this apartment was actually available because it had a waiting list. The office said it could add me to the waiting list. I agreed. The office also offered me a one-bedroom apartment, which would be available soon. I declined, explaining that a one bedroom was more expensive and had less space than my current apartment so it did not make sense to take that one. According to my cell phone, the Crossing at Eagle Pond office called me at 4:16 p.m. on February 18 to tell me that the person on the waiting list ahead of me had not gotten back to them by 4 p.m. that day so the manager authorized contacting me to offer the studio apartment. I accepted it. The office said the apartment would be vacated by March 30 and that I would receive a call from them by Wednesday, February 23 at noon to let me know the exact date it would be available (it would take longer than usual to get back with me because of the Monday, February 21 Presidents' Day holiday, I was told). I put in the required two-month notice to vacate my current apartment. On Thursday, February 24, I emailed them to check on the move-in date, because I had not heard from them by Wednesday as promised. The reply said the office would check with the manager to see what units were available. I replied, reminding the office that they already offered me a specific unit and said they would contact me by Wednesday. I did not get a reply by the next day, so I emailed again, saying that based on their previous message, I presumed that the apartment had been accidentally rented to someone else. I got a quick reply that someone else had been ahead of me on the waiting list and that the studio apartment was not available to me. I was offered a 1-bedroom apartment, which I was told would be available sooner than a studio. I reported that at this point I would stay at my current apartment (assuming that I can rescind my notice to vacate). It will be interesting to see if they refund my original $150 application fee (for an apartment that was not actually available).

I have avoided writing this review for months in hopes of improvement…read more As a resident of almost 4 years, my experiences have vacillated from great to frustrating and unacceptable. Overall, I love the community, the upkeep of the grounds, and amenities. But there has been increased turnover of residents (due to societal and economic changes) and staff in the past couple years. Unfortunately, the staffing changes have been more impactful than any other. The current staff (property manager, office assistants, and maintenance) lack customer service skills. Instead of being receptive and striving to resolve issues/concerns, they are quick to cut off conversations, very slow to respond or return communications, dismissive. Their attempts at resolving issues have become increasingly frustrating as the least possible is done in order to pacify instead, allowing it to linger for months on end. The couple maintenance men who do care and are diligent unfortunately are then limited by their supervisor and the property manager. I truly pray that any upcoming changes are for the better to restore residents' faith in where they've chosen to call home.
