***Update Nov 25, 2015*** This business has changed it's name to aquariumdepot.com... Buyer Beware! I wish I had read the Yelp reviews first... I bought several zoas during their Easter 50% sale to add to my existing "zoa garden" tank. The corals were shipped USPS 2-day in a foam box, with no heat pack. As I acclimated each frag, I had a Barney's disintegrate in my hand, dead. The water in the plastic bags was disgustingly dirty and smelled foul (compared to Aqua SD shipments, for example, which arrive in clean water with no odor) One of the frags was also missing from the box, and to their credit, customer service stepped up and shipped me the missing item and another Barney's at no charge. So 1 extra star However, I noticed again, filthy water and the bad smell. And no heat pack Now, several weeks later, a couple of the zoas are doing ok, but most have melted. They also do not look anything like the pictures on their website, AND were infested with nudibranch eggs, so now my tank is too... Yay :-( As many reviewers have said, I don't think this company takes good care of their animals, as evidenced by the sad state of the corals I received. STAY AWAY! Coral arrived DOA and melting away. Very small bags, with little to no water. Terrible Customer service. Won't return emails once you ask for a refund (which they don't give, only store credit). Items are not representative of the pictures on their web site. They did pack it decently and their web site is good and I did get a few response emails from them which are the only positives and the only reason they should even get 1 star. Ordered their 5 Zoa pack for $29.99 on 7/29/2015 with free shipping. Received an email on 8/3 stating that severe weather has delayed my order. I thought Ok, no problem. Thanks for letting me know. So good so far. I got an email on 8/4 indicating the corals had shipped via USPS Priority Mail and included a tracking number. I monitored the package for two days, but when it didn't arrive, I sent them an email on 8/5 informing them that I had not received the coral yet and was hoping for a delivery soon...but tracking showed only "in transit". I got a reply from a person named Racheal: "As am I. I will let you know that with Free Ship Packs, it is a 2-3 day transit and with the heat, and carrier handling, there is always a chance for loss. When ordering any live items, it is always best to upgrade your shipping to Next Day Air. Less time in transit = less stress to the critters, which in turn = a higher survival rate. Your order is covered under a 14 Day Guarantee. In the event that there is any loss please follow the instructions below:" Ok, we are still good so far. Seems they are willing to stand behind their product. I kept monitoring the package and on 8/7 I could see that it had arrived at the USPS facility and was out for delivery. I sent Reefs2Go an email informing them that the package was supposed to arrive today, but I was skeptical as to whether the corals survived the trip. The box was delivered and I immediately set about getting these corals out of their packaging, acclimated and into the tank. They didn't look good...they arrived in small bags of cloudy water. The Zoas were already disintegrating and were tiny, like 1/4 the size of a pencil eraser. After following their acclimation procedure I got them into the tank and within a couple of hours the flow had washed away most of the outer gunk, leaving me a handful of actual polyps. I made sure I took pictures of the entire unboxing and took pics of each coral in the bag and then again in the tank. I received another response from Racheal the next day 8/8: "These little critters can be a lot hardier than given credit for. I see that your order was delivered yesterday morning. How did everything arrive?" I responded on 8/9 letting them know of the condition of the Zoas which by this time looked like they were going to die off. Closed up tight, lots of jelly and skin fluffing off with each wave. Unfortunately at this time I had to travel for business and I'd be gone a week. I was hoping when i got back everything would look great. But my wife informed me over the next couple of days that all but one frag was barren. On 8/15, after I got back home, I sent them an email giving them the bad news about the coral. All but 4 polyps on one frag were dead and gone. This caused a small diatom bloom in my 120 gallon tank, but it disappeared within a day or two. All my other corals still looked healthy and my params were normal. On 8/17 I received the following email from Racheal: "Can you please resend the attachment? The last one is blank. How are the corals at this point?" I then zipped up all of the pictures I had and sent them to the emails sales@reefs2go and help@reefs2go and told them about the dead corals. No response. I then reread their refund policy and it said the pictures had to be of the livestock (or deadstock at this point) placed on the invoice. Ok. So I removed all of the now empty frag plugs, except the RDE frag which had 4 polyps still trying to hold on, and took photos of them on the invoice. Zipped them up and off they went. No response. On 8/25 I sent the following email: "I have sent numerous emails and have not gotten a single response once I asked for a refund. Up until that point I was getting good support. Now maybe you are still processing this or maybe it got lost in the shuffle, so I am giving Reefs2Go one more chance to see if we can get this squared away. According to your Return Policy, I am expecting a credit for the full amount for Order #2015-07-130173. Please let me know the status of this transaction as soon as possible." No response. The aforementioned email from Racheal on 8/17, was the last time I ever received a response from Reefs2Go. I have emailed them every day since 8/19, it is now 8/26 and I have never received a response. Then I checked Yelp and WOW!!!! Wished I had done that first. After my original order showed up with half the order substituted, and 80% of the order dead or dying, Reefs2go begged another chance to make it right. And when I received the replacement order, it was EXACTLY like the first. Dead, dying, substituting whatever they felt like sending me instead of the items I ordered. They said that a supervisor would be in touch with me, they never were. What would it matter, anyway? I filed a chargeback with my bank, and after a two month wait, my claim has been resolved in my favor. I encourage EVERYONE who has a problem with Reefs2go to do the same. read more

WOW... I got violated big time! This place is horrible! I spent $315. On corals and I can't believe the how they arrived and how I've been treated. My ricordia mushrooms were dime shaped and white... Yes, white! My rainbow paly dead! My lunar eclipse had tiny, tiny polyps that were individually glued onto a rock and sold as a colony. My passion fruit zoa had very small polyps of different species individually glued onto a plug and sold as a colony. Several of the polyps were a mix of unrelated polys. If I'm buying a 10 polyp red PE frag; I expect all 10 polyps to be red PE polyps; not a mix of random polyps mixed on to the frag plug. I was offered a partial store credit; yet, they didn't include the coupon code in the email. I was also double billed for shipping. I was told I would get the shipping credited back to my card; however I have yet to see that. I've been dealing with them for now 7 weeks. They are a nightmare to deal with. Well the problem with reef2go is they not respect marine life, for them is just business because when they send you box with most of the bag with no water, or lot of DOA, or sometime bad condition or sick, you understand they not take care well of them. The price are cheap but the quality is 0 , better to put more money on Marine life but at least you sure they are coming good shape. That not make me sad for the money but for the marine life, better to keep them in the Ocean if it's for let them in bad condition or ship them without care.. There is no communication between this sites employees. I was promised a couple free frags because some came DOA. When I asked about these frags, I was told that no one would have ever told me that and they made me feel stupid for asking. First off they don't cover shipping even if you are eligible for credit ( I have had 6 orders in the last month and only one came alive, second off these so called marine experts can't pack a box to save their lives. I've dealt with water leakage ( a ton. I'm talking about 2 cups in the Styrofoam box and none in the bags) to about a pop caps worth of water in their pods and snails bags. This company goes by a number of names like reefs 2 go and alive 2 go I think that they should close the site they obviously take on more than they can chew and my advice to them would be to find a new hobby Cruz they suck at this one. You'll get what you pay for. The price is great, as is the selection, but you'll get lower quality and there's a serious risk that you won't get what you ordered at all. I ordered macro algae from them and two of the types I bought were not sent; instead, they subbed out something else and never told me about it (even though it was an obvious substitution). The substitutions weren't close in similarity to the original types ordered either. Four of the things I ordered also had small to large aiptasia growing on them. read more

I ordered a reef cleaning pack and when I received it all the bags were dirty and most animals were dead. When I discussed this with them it was my fault they sent dead animals. They wanted to know what my water stats were, because they sent me dead animals. So I stop discussing thing with them. Two months later I place another and received everything alive and well. So I went to place a second order and now I have a locked account because I disagreed with their policies. And the end of message pretty much said go buy else where. Where do I start...quality. Their pictures are NOT representative of what they send you. I ordered some Portieria macro algae that just looked liked brown chaeto, not at all like the elegant branches in the picture. One of the zoa frags was loose on the plug and it came off in my tank and got lost. A frag of Purple Glove (Clove) polyps arrived DOA twice. Now, on to customer service. At first, they (Racheal) seemed nice and eager to help me but once I got on the phone with her it didn't turn out well. Here's what happened: I ordered the 6 pack zoa, other coral, and some marco algae. 2 frags where on back order, no big deal they would ship them when available. The macro algae looked terrible, black in some places and dying. The zoa frags also didn't look too healthy but they are recovering. One was DOA, the purple glove. Racheal agreed to resend the macro and purple clove. She ensured the macro would be personally inspected by her to match the picture. I also added an order of snails since you can add on to an order without additional shipping costs. So the 2nd shipment arrived with the back ordered items. The macro still looked terrible and the purple glove was DOA again. This time I asked for a refund for the macro and purple glove, got a credit instead. Fine with me but I don't want to pay $20 shipping again to use the credit from the first order which I already paid shipping for. I called and spoke to Racheal. I know it's their policy not to refund shipping so I asked to be met half way and get a partial credit for the shipping. This seems fair to me since I will be buying something else from them and it's not my fault that the items arrived DOA. Racheal got upset and said she'd issue a refund request to the owner and that my account would be locked forever. This seems weird to me but after this experience I don't want to be their customer anyway. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I added another star because they tried to make it right but failed. A business should never kick a customer out because they don't like what they say. read more

About 2 years ago I ordered 100 hermit crabs and they all arrived dead, but I had heard that reefs2go had improved their business, so I gave it another shot and ordered 100 more hermits during the last sale that they had, guess what? All arrived dead. How is this place still in business if they cannot improve their business practices over the course of a couple years! Corals shipped from Florida to Indiana with no oxygen and maybe 3 shotglasses of water in each bag. Suppose to be 10 polyps each only received 25 of the 40 they stated in the description. Most were dead and had algae on them they were not fragged looks like they just broke off chips of rock without cutting the coral so all the edges have dead coral. First time ordering live marine plants and corals online. My shave brush plants arrived in poor condition but alive (also containing some unidentified marine worm which later fell off) the coral arrived in pieces, was detached from the plug and covered in a unnatural looking slime. There was also a large, square, piece of Styrofoam packed inside the coral bag; since I am not used to buying corals online I don't know if this is standard but it appeared the free-floating block helped destroy the coral. I emailed the company, got a blank email as a reply, replied to that email, got a response telling me to not send multiple emails, then nothing for a few days. Then I got an email telling me to take pictures and email them to determine if I could get a refund. I didn't continue with the process since the coral was less than $10 and it wasn't worth my time or the cost to ship it back. Needless to say I will not be buying from them again. P.S. after a couple of weeks I got an email asking me to leave an order review, followed by a link, I followed the provided link but there is no way to leave a product review on Reefs2Go's website. They have tons of glowing testimonials but no way to rate your personal experience. read more

Love this site! Just placed my second order. The prices can't be beat and they sell live Copepods and amphipods... Way better than the stuff sold in pet stores and at about 10x the ammount you get in the little plastic bottles for the same rice you can't go wrong. I would recommend this site to anyone! read more

Horrible experience! Ordered over $150.00 in snails and shrimp all arrived dead! It has been 3 weeks of sending over 24 pictures of the bags that arrived with no water in them and all items DOA! To top it all off the post office charged me $5.00 in extra postage because the weight was wrong ! Reefs 2 Go is a rip off! I will never do business with them again! My entire order was dead on arrival. The order before that, half of my order was missing and over half of what did ship was dead or dying on arrival. The ignored my emails when I requested a refund, and gave misleading information to my bank when I ended up having to go through them for a chargeback on my visa. If you are okay with receiving poor livestock at cheap prices and entering into an endless cycle of store credit for dead on arrivals, then this is the place for you. HORRIBLE!!!!! I ordered from them twice, both times I picked up and this is the only thing I have to say about them. HORRIBLE!!! 1- Bad product. Most of it died within a week 2- Even worse customer service (Will not answer phones or emails) 3- For pick up, they force you to go at 4:30pm on a day of their choosing and you can't even go into the facility, you have to wait outside. (This made me wonder what kind of aquariums and fish/coral care facilities they have inside?) 4- You buy one thing and they give you a different one. (I bought several Zoas of specific color and quantities and I got a lot less polyps and of different colors) 5- They sell items on their website that they don't have in stock. For my second order, I had to go back to their facility twice to pick up items that they didn't have in stock the first time around and they didn't give me the option of picking them all up together. My advise.... Stay away from them. Go online with Bluezooaquatics.com or Saltwaterfish.com. If you want local, go to your local fish shop and get what you need. This is a review from NY,NY! This is how much this bit$h Rachael pissed me off. RIP OFF alert x 10. I've been in the reef aquarium community for over 12 years and never experienced such horrible, pathetic, down right nasty costumer service in my life. Every review on here is more than accurate. Stay away from this store. Reefs 2 go! You are not lying. Go as far away from these thieves as possible. That's right thieves. They stole my money. I purchased a reef pack that cost me $150 for about $60 worth of product from my local fish store. On top of that 70-80% of my order was DOA! Candace was more than nice taking my DOA items over the phone and said she would give it to the customer service team. She did her job but from that point on these thieves tried to pull there lies. They sent me a gift card for 30% of my order. I am a financial advisor so I think I can add. So what happened next, you guessed it the same thing that everybody else went through. Yelling and screaming on the phone about my order. I'm not even gonna give details because you know what was said. Give my money back you thieves! So in conclusion I will be making a formal complaint with the BBB of west coast Florida immediately! I will be contacting their local general attorney's office. I will be contacting consumer affairs. I will be calling the federal trade commission. So if anyone didn't know how to complain or get your money back there you go! Oh and I am the 34th complaint that's has already been filed. Poor customer service. Shipping took over 10 days and once it arrived, several corals had little to no water in the bags. Lost one zoa frag on arrival. In the week since, have lost an acan and 3 zoa frags are headed to the garbage. An old saying "cheap is not good and good is not cheap" applies here. Stick with a good reputable LFS or reefer group. If you do order something from them, make sure you take pictures of everything you get when they arrive just in case the die and when you introduce them in you aquarium hope that the animals survive. they also have a really bad customer service.
