We determined I actually have the right size but it needed to be worn in or forcefully stretched to speed things up. She suggested inflating a small soccerball in the helmet and checking sizing the following day - a tip a fellow rider suggested to her. I gave it a try and it made a world of a difference. I'm thankful she was honest about sizing as the next size up would have left my noggin bouncing around and ultimately unsafe. She could have made a sale but prioritized my safety while helping me get more comfortable in my own gear.
